I can identify with "that dragon feeling." When I got a left half shield at the giant mole, or when I got TWO d meds at barrows, I just ran arround yelling "W00T@!!!!!@~~!~@" for like ten minutes :lol: . Then I sold them for better dragon items lol :pray:

I was told that there was a greater demon in the lava maze that gave you 200k if you told him a story I was told that great demons in high wilderness could FLY I was told that if you walk through the al-kharid gates exactly 13 times, a level 100 demon would come and attack you I was told that on easter, xmas and h'ween, you could get holiday items as drops from white knights and ice giants I was told that if you are lvl 100+, hitting a zero on a goblin or spider in lumbridge is still a K.O. Lol, I told one guy if he skulled on me in 50 wildy on halloween with a d long and a d spear, and I skulled on him with a dds, we'd get 2 h'weens (red). Needless to say I killed him ftw =D> \

despite all arguements against the original poster...I agree. I'm a main acc, I have lotsa def, but I LOVE Pk'ing. I'm jsut no good. So I made a magic pure, back in the old wildy days. And there was moral standards. There will always be noobs who will go arround and be jackass and pj, but in those days, not as common. The worst the was "the hillz" which was an area in about 18(?) wildy where like 35 ppl would pile anyone. But all ethics were in place. I didn't farcast, I didn't teleport (not too often...) and ppl sed "gf" on death instead of "*******************************! You ***K sh*t *********!" When BH came out, a common tactic of making a giant team and standing in the center, wiating for your "prey" to bounty locate you was invented. As Jagex has gone through 3 Types of Pk'ing in about 2 years. They are just stacking the new PvP updates on top of eachother, and now, everyone has forgotten old pk'ing, ethics and morals. It would do the new pk'ers good to go watch a freakin' "Purple Ownz" or "Kids Ranqe" or "Elvemage" pk'ing video, AND SEE HOW PK'ING IS SUPPOSED TO BE

Goals: 70 range (currently 65) 270 QP (cureently 234?) Get 5 Barrows Items @ Barrows (1 So Far :thumbsup: ) Total Level 1500 (Currently 1486?) Kinda small, but when I set bigger goals, example, smith 3,000 Iron Bars/Smith 3,000 Iron Bars Into Iron Knives, I blow them off :thumbdown: . I suck at setting goals :!:

Consider This: Mages can train ranged to an equal level without gaining a combat level, so mage can either hybrid up or they can sit and complain like you currently are bro. No offense or anything, but it's true, so quit your whinning :geek:

Ok. The reason people use melee over range is because 1: in f2p, range is massively underpowered 2: in p2p, decent ranging weapons, gear, and arrows, cost more than a sword. Buy a dragon long and a dds for maybe 150k at most and you're set. buy a dark bow or seercull or rune crossbow and maybe 1,000 decent arrows/bolts and you're heading off to the poor-house. And eventually you'll need more arrows 3: ranged projectiles (shootables) cost significantly more to poison. The reason people use melle over magic is because 1: MAGIC COSTS A BUTTLOAD OF CASH 2: The best hit that I know of with magic can only be a 30 with a godspell and charge. Melee can hit hits exceeding 70 damage at once. 3: Same reason as reason 2 for ranged. 4: D'hide defense = MAGIC EPIC PHAIL!!! 5: Melee cost time. Magic costs cash + Mindless clicking Jagex doesn't favor melee, melee is just significantly easier to devlope.

I must say honestly, range is the most annoying combat ever. I've got nothing against the skill itself, its just that 1: Without enchanted bolts you won't hit [****] 2:Enchanted Bolts cost a lot of [****ing] Cash 3: Melee does plenty of Damage, Melee weapons last forever (provided you don't die) and magic has practical uses. Range is good for zilch, except for crossbow agility shortcuts, and we all rarely use THOSE I'm sure. But really, range is decent and I've got nothing against safespotting. Legs: Prosylite Bottom>Dragonhid Bottom, Monk Robe Bottom>Initiate Bottom. Shield: Unholy Book>Book of Balance>Spirit Shield Boots: Mystic Boots>Climbing Boots>Metal Boots Adamant - Dragon Ring: Seers Ring>Lunar Ring>Beacon Ring>ROL>Other DKS Rings. Your Melee Weapons, taking up either 1 or 2 slots in your invintory Your Range Weapon, should you choose to bring one* 1 Super Attack Potion (Optional) Fill the rest of your invintory with FOOD!!! Good which I like include Monkfish and Summer Pies. =D> *If your ranged weapon is a Magic Shortbow, leave 1 invintory slot open, becuase it will un-equip your shield AND weapon. When you get to Barrows in whatever way you like, best being to use a house portal to Canifis and then to use the MyrqueShortcut and Swampy Boaty, you should fight the borthers in the following order: Dharok - Use Magic - Use Protect from Melee Karil - Use Melee - Use Protect from Ranged Arhim - Use Ranged or Melee, ranged preffered - If you have any prayer left after Dharok and Karil, use it on him for Protect from Magic Verac - Use Magic - Do not use prayer if possible. Pray if you must with Protect from Melee. Torag - Use Magic - Do Not Pray Guthan - Use Magic - Pray if your Melee Defense is low with Protect from Melee, otherwise, Do Not Pray. If your Borther-in-the-tunnel is either Dharok, Karil or Verac, then when you encounter them, Drink Some Prayer Potion and Pray the appropriate prayer based on which you are fighting. Before looting the central chest, be sure your kill count is 15+ (for good luck) and that you've killed EVERY BROTHER!!! I cannot Stress enough that you ABSOLUTELY MUST KILL EVERY BROTHER!!!
