  1. Sure, give me a couple of seconds. Just fair warning though, necrons are pretty damn bad iirc.
  2. I like that Idea. Grim, did you ever upload the Tau codex and the rulebook. I'm working on both right now.
  3. It shouldn't be too hard to do. All you need is a list, a rule book, maptools and an opponent. It also cuts off the problem of GM lethargy because, in this case there is no GM. EDIT: For further clarification [hide] WS= Weapons skill BS= Ballistics skill S= Strength T= Toughness W= Number of wounds I= Initiative A= Number of attacks per round Ld= Leadership bonus Sv= Armor save [/hide]
  4. This should be interesting (first things first, get dragon claws and kill people at green dragons. Laugh, repeat until killed.) On a semi related note: I have a slightly legal 1000 point khornate demons list up [hide] Hq Bloodthirster, unholy might, blessings of the blood god- 275 points Elites Bloodcrushers x4- 160 points Fast Attack Flesh hounds of Khorne x5- 75 points Troops Bloodletters x9- 138 points Bloodletters x9- 154 points Heavy support Daemon prince, Mark of Khorn, Unholy might, Iron hide,-145 points Total- 1000 points Appendix Stats Bloodthirster,BotBG, Unholy might Ws-10 Bs-4 S-8 T-6 W-5 I-5 A-5 Ld-10 Sv-4+ Special rules: Daemon, Independent Character, Furious Charge, Monstrous creature Blood crusher Ws-5 Bs-0 S-5 T-5 W-2 I-4 A-3 Ld-10 Sv-5+ Special rules: Daemon, Furious Charge Blood letter Ws-5 Bs-0 S-4 T-4 W-1 I-4 A-2 Ld-10 Sv-5+ Special rules: Daemon, Furious Charge Flesh hound Ws-4 Bs-0 S-4 T-4 W-1 I-4 A-2 Ld-10 Sv-5+ Special rules: Daemon, Furious Charge Daemon Prince Ws-7 Bs-5 S-5 T-5 W-4 I-5 A-4 Ld-10 Sv-5+ Special rules: Daemon Daemon Prince, Mark of Khorne, Unholy might, Iron hide Ws-7 Bs-5 S-6 T-5 W-4 I-5 A-5 Ld-10 Sv-5+ Special rules: Daemon gets a 5+ invulnerable save and a 3+ armor save (iron hide) Special rules Explanation: Daemon= Fearless+ Eternal Warrior+ All saves are invulnerable saves+ Daemonic Assault Daemonic Assault= At the start of the game your entire army is in reserve. [/hide] EDIT: If anyone wants to join the possible playing of 40k via maptools I can give you the pdfs for pretty much any codex (I don't have the imperial armor supplements yet) and the rule book.
  5. You all shall fall beneath the might of House Baratheon (seriously Robert was one of my favorite characters in the books). On a semi related note, I'm currently thumbing through the ork codex I went out and bought. Let me set up a half decent list and I would be willing to try a game.
  6. Well then, as the codexes download are legally acquired does anyone else want to play over maptools? Also what point value do people want to play at? 2000 points? 4000 (BRING IN THE GOD DAMN TITANS) more?
  7. http://www.rptools.net/index.php?page=downloads#MapTool Give me an hour or two and I can have most of the codexes uploaded (If anyone wants them).
  8. It looks rather fun (we would all be in control of various factions of the same country correct?) and would actually force us to work together (other than to destroy try to destroy dusty). That being said, another option for a game (that I believe has been already proposed by someone other than myself) would be to have a nearly completely combat based campaign in which there is one to two goals for each player. After each engagement between a player and an NPC they could get a certain number of points worth of reinforcements (with bonuses to the victor) if any of their forces were still surviving. If you ask me this could work on a large scale (ie solar system/ group of stars) for a far future setting or you could go for something along the lines of mid to high fantasy (though it would be hard to balance magic without standardizing it out of the ass). In any case you could do a standardized list of units or each player could (with help from the mod [which may or may not take too much time to be worth it]) create their own army with points cost to be decided on a case by case basis. Just my two cents on the matter though. Ex: Wood elf army [hide] Bow men- 30 points Spear men- 45 points Light cavalry-65 points Dryads- 40 points Nymphs- 45 points Horse archers- 80 points Sorcerers-200 points Ents- 185 points Lord/Lady of the hunt- 225 points etc, etc [/hide] Or for the futuristic style Army of the glorious Empire [hide] Penal infantry- 10 points Irregulars- 25 points Regulars- 40 points Shock troopers (power armored, flak cannons, missile launchers ,etc.)- 100 points APC- 70 points ATWW (All Terrain War Walker)- 120 points Light tank- 150 points Medium tank- 180 points Main battle tank- 200 points etc, etc, etc, [/hide] Obviously there would be many more unit choices than those listed (and hopefully more fleshed/fluffed out than that) as well as upgrades for a certain amount of points as well. Also, I would be very interested in playing another YOH retech.
  9. Well then, that's quite frankly [cabbage]. I'm pretty sure that you don't get said rush of adrenaline just from fear though (I would imagine that the pain from having a hole punched through oneself would be enough to cause a fight or flight reaction). That being said, if you don't have specific training and/or are not prepared odds are that your first reaction will be confusion followed by the need to get the hell out. Oh and again, everyone feels fear in some form or another (I would imagine that it is/was a very useful adaptation to keep people from doing something really stupid).
  10. Well anger won't but if you're shot in a non vital area the adrenaline rush that follows sure as hell will help to keep you from noticing the pain too much.
  11. Actually, if we really need more people for the village I could invite certain people that I know who are looking for a new type of game that's "harder".
  12. 2: An inquiry is sent out to find out the success of the various bands that were sent out to gather materials.
  13. Okay, so the current plan is (possibly?): 1) Find mine/mud flats 2) Get everyone else in 3) Establish claim/brick wall 4) Get community buildings/fields set up 5) Create weapons 6) Train everyone in combat 7) Possibly establish trade connections 8) ??? 9) Profit EDIT: Am I wrong to think that digging for soil with a chair/water source nearby is a decent way of acquiring lps?
  14. 1: The man working on the bow is given any materials he needs with his work 2: Banked 3: Banked
  15. 4. A scouting party is sent out to look for more of the fibrous material 5. A party is sent out to the lake to fish. 6. Workers are to gather more wood. (whoo 1 action banked)
  16. 1: Another team is sent out to gather more wood 2: Workers begin construction of houses. 3: A squad of macemen are trained with the supplied maces.
  17. Okay 1: The artisans are told to make stone weapons if at all possible 2: The man who wants to help make the bow is given the materials he needs to experiment. 3: Another team of hunters are sent out to look for food.
  18. 1- Scouts are ordered to look for fibrous materials 2- Artisans are to create stone axes from the stone and wood. 3- Workers are to chop down a small number of near by trees. 4- A town watch is organised to warn of incoming attacks 5-Workers are to look for stone if at all possible. 6- The craftsmen are to begin research on the bow and arrow.
  19. (From bank) 4) The artisans are told to use the stone and wood to create tools 5) Workers are told to create fishing tools 6) Workers are then told to go to the lake and fish.
  20. Damn, 3-workers are sent out to look for materials for the artisans.
  21. The final action is banked. (This looks rather interesting)
  22. Erm, right. Well then new, edited map! Okay, getting this started Civilization name: Talamh na fir olc Civilization adjective: Irish Actions 1. Baile gealtachta is founded by the followers of Laal in a grand celebration. 2. Hunters are sent out to scout for food. 3. Artisans are ordered, in the name of Laal to start construction of fishing, hunting and digging/farming tools.
  23. The map with Nex and myself added (sorry for the late start)
  24. Grim_ replied to Nexaduro's topic in Falador Tavern
Bah, my reason for playing civ IV more than civ V is simply because A: Civ IV has a [cabbage] tonne more mods than V, and B: Civ V runs inanely slow on my computer when compared to Civ IV. On a semi related vein a mod that I would recommend is the fairy tale mod.
  25. Survey: A travelling band of nomads wants to join your village, what do you do? Inquire if they have accepted our lord and savior Laal, lord of tasteful slapstick, insanity and battle. If they are not beholden to our laughing/slaughtering lord then they shall be sacrificed at the altar of mildly humorous mistakes. The notorious loony claims that he has found an ancient map. What do you do? Gravely follow the directions of the map, for the insane are truly Laals blessed. One day, an emissary arrives from a neighboring empire. He sends word that his kind demands tribute from your nation. What do you do? Kick him into the conveniently placed pit at a theatrical time. His peoples death will be glorious (and fraught with bananas/ cream pies) You come across a resource node, full of gem foreign to your people. However, another nation seems to have set up a small camp there as well. What do you do? Pray to Laal and try to convert them. Failing that see above answer. A long-trusted advisor of yours is rumored to be planning to remove you from the throne. What do you do? Challenge him to single combat/open mic night in the gaze of Laal. A band of vicious cats has been attacking the local rodents, killing most of them off. What do you do? Why would I care? If you had to choose between military supremacy, economic might, or intellectual prowess, which would you wish for your nation to have? Military supremacy Your explorers come across a small tribe, with extremely primitive technology. They do not seem to be hostile. What is your response? Convert them to our Lord and saviour, Laal the laughing, babbling bloody handed god. After a lengthy military campaign, you overtake the capitol city of a rival nation. However, the city is still intact, along with most of the citizens being alive. What do you do? Convert them to our lord and savior Laal by the sword; Then we kill the rest. Your cities are starving and the only source of extra food is an empire that demands you give up your strongest squad of men. What do you do? Send them the strongest men in the eyes of Laal lord of insanity, slapstick and slaughter. The strike them down, because not doing so would be heresy Two of your neighbors, one on friendly terms, the other unfriendly, have recently fought in a war, and are now weak. What do you do? Which one has accepted Laal as their slightly unbalanced savior? There is a red button on your desk, what is it for? A pie to hit whoever pressed it square in the face. The pie is filled with acid squirting beetles. There is a trial in your city, where a 'scientist' claims that the earth goes around the moon, rather than the moon being reborn each day by the sky gods. The courts have sentanced him to death, what do you do? He must die, lest the sky gods fail in their resurrection of the sun the next day. While out with your fellow hunters, a large flying stone with a green middle hovers overhead, bathing you in a green light. What do you do? Praise the heralds of Laal for his angles have come again. Choose one of the following: A) A B) A C) B D) 42 E) None of the above D
