Lynx, on average it takes roughly 2-3 years to go through medical school (at least according to my knowledge of the UC system). This is added on top of the roughly 2 years of regular university coursework you have to go through to actually get into medical school. Now add onto that 2-3 years of high school (completely glossing over middle school) that adds up to roughly 6-7 years of schooling. Now do you think that they would let a 8-9 year old into any highschool? The answer is no (Obviously), however if there is some fast track that I am unaware of I still think it's unlikely that they would let a 12 year old into medical school.

It's joinable. You play in roughly the same way as to dungeoneering except that skill upgrades are purchased with merits. You can develop new technologies by solving puzzles (generally higher level math or anagrams or cryptograms) and applying points to technology. It's generally one point for creation and one point more for every level you upgrade it.

You make the assumption that you cannot simply ask for some tech from one of the crew members (they probably will give it to you). Also I think I may have been gone for a bit longer than you (but irrelevant both of us are pretty damn weak).

Erm wouldn't it be a good idea to not use pre gun powder era weaponry in a game that is set in space? Unless you're using a crossbow esque set up with carbon nanotubules (which might be different) a meson pistol or plasma cutter is going to be quite a bit more useful.

Because killing and being a pacifist seems to be a contradiction of terms. I may have to start playing again (most likely at a severe tech disadvantage but then again tech doesn't keep me from stabbing you in your sleep and stealing your designs becoming your friend and borrowing your weapons). In any rate is the research system the same as it was before ( puzzles)?

Well we could use a rule set like one along the lines of the war hammer games or something along those lines (I would prefer fantasy because from what I've heard it is slightly more balanced but the core rules for 8th edition are a [bleep] to find). It would make the game alot less taxing on the mod because there would be no battles to calculate (just to possibly observe). Hell for such a campaign you could fluff the lack of NPCs as that they are complacent peasants or a utopian/anarchistic/true communistic society so the DM would only have to worry about possibly playing as a faction and or random events.

Another option (other than just play EU3 [which sounds rather fun to be honest]) would be as I said before, familiarize yourself with a system of war game and then play a completely battle based campaign (possibly on a risk esque map?) where you get a certain number of reinforcements based upon how well you did in the battle (with the option of trying to disengage and retreat). But yeah, EU3 would be much more easy to implement. On a semi related note, the damned AC adapter for my laptop still hasn't arrived (I rehabilitated an old desktop instead) after close to two weeks. Well if you really tried I'm sure you could create your own table top gaming system (but that might not be accepted). Another option would be to create a tesseract configuration and find a use for it (possibly in computing or something along those lines). Erm for something for home use (that you could create a prototype fairly easily for) An artificial habitat (I presume hermetically sealed) would be fairly easy to do. If you can program you could create some sort of basic robotic script for use in helping the disabled as well.

Well a slaaneshi mono god army isn't necessarily horrible at combat. However its troop choices seem to be... less that admirable (Though the elites and the fast attack are rather good). For a 2,000 point list I'd only take the minimum daemonettes and max out your hq/elites/fast attack (well not squads of 5 for the daemonettes more along the lines of squads of 10-15 so they can actually be mildly useful). Though if you want to switch codexes you know where the links are.
