  9. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
I carefully climb up atop the sails taking care not to fall to my death and scan the horizons.

I am Enarir... Soriel and with that Enarir went on the ship.

"Ah sorry... at any rate if I joined would I be able to keep my own weaponry? Provided it is not all to exotic of course."
  12. Any chance for a mongol update today retech?
  13. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
Enarir responds: may I ask what I would be recruited into doing?
  14. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
I ask around about what the man is offering/what he is here for.
  15. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
Enarir looks for any place offering training for swordsmanship and then looks for the docks (looking for a ship)
  16. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
Enarir nods to the guard and then walks into the town looking for a source of employment as he goes.
  17. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
With a glare he asks the guard "Would a scion of the noble House of Soriel be caught up in piracy?"
  18. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
Enarir moves towards the city at a stiff pace authority and self importance dripping from every pore of his body.
  19. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
Enarir continues down the road adding this time cursing the gods of nature in particular. He keeps his hand on the hilt of his sword Koriagla and mutters general obscenities. EDIT: Dungeonal I thought the general idea was 1-2 things per go (2 being the maximum [at least in battle situations [though that could have just been the fact that you could only cast one thing per hand in dungeoneering]])
  20. Grim_ replied to Icuownage's topic in Falador Tavern
As I waken I groan at the alcohol induced headache and stumble down the road mutter curses to the rum brewers and the gods in general. With blood shot eyes enarir searches for anything of use as he walks down the road.

Any chance I could get an edit in?

I suppose I am but it does really get the point across a lot better. Because a sword fight is more fun then a magic fight, a gunfight is more fun with a magic fight and nearly any other type of fight is more fun, because it has weakeness's. Magic however does not, if it was defined by incredibly tight constraints I would probably be a bit more ok with it but I also think it ruins the genre. Edel the only person currently using magic in this game is me (and I intend to become strong enough to sap the energy from the sword and then progress very very little) and I am just using it to augment my sword fighting. Honestly the constraints upon magic make it a very very bad idea to go for an all out magic fight (ie thunderbolts etc.).

    1) probably but then again they will not be of that much use until I was relatively powerful (at which point I could ditch the sword) 2) I guess we should probably let icu decide that (doesn't really matter to me) 3) I can gain skill (and power levels) separately from the sword and in time absorb the power from the sword into myself (and become stronger after that) 4) See number two.

True I will probably be found out eventually (at which point I murder all witnesses) but it would take longer than if I was pumping lightning bolts out of my [bleep].

He is currently decent (being a lords son you get tutored a bit in it) though probably not as good as you are. I do however predict that by endgame he will be a monster (with high lightning magic and swordsmanship skills) EDIT: Rocco it would be used as a one two combo (one hit to shock the other for a death blow) and the vibrations would be used for a very very short period of time (if at all)
