I didn't steal from the city. I took some clay from the river that they had evidently claimed (and left no sort of marker) but they can kill me so I guess they are right in this situation.

earth you just need to put some bone glue (kill some chickens and use a cauldron) and I don't think any ropes anymore and then use 'em to set up your own palisades with your own keys. (I did the really irritating part (gathering materials for ropes) myself)

From what I have heard from paul (someone who knows the lawspeaker) the guy would not react favorably to any settlement there and much less favorably if anyone used "his" clay (which for the most part was already depleted)

I'm only moving because I just found out that I have probably pissed off the irritable lawspeaker of shatter glass. Earth can simply claim that he came in later (I will allow tresspassing and vandalism/theft as well) so that the scents will correlate with his story.

Once I can get confirmation from paul that I can in fact move to the new place I will declaim the land.
