Grim attempts to heal himself and then create a bridge of stone over the lava.

As a player of the alto saxophone I would like to say that we all get an equal or greater amount than the man in dungeonals sig B)

Grim attempts to harden some magma using geomancy and make it to shore. If that does not work he summons an enormous cold fire hawk and has it airlift Tairn and himself to safety. EDIT: What do people think of my new sig?

Grim gets any rubble off of him (using geomancy when necessary) and looks around for a way out.

Grim attempts to unplug the basaltic cap as well after scanning what was behind it.

(It's a shield volcano so...) Grim does a geomancy scan of the room looking for a way out. If none presents itself then he pulls out the granite plug.

Grim does a geomancy scan and attempts to switch to thermal vision before going on looking for traps as he goes.

Grim attempts to go through the burrow using geomancy scans to make sure it will not collapse or generally screw up.

Grim attempts to widen the burrow on the volcano to allow escape.

Rashid appears to be nigh upon consumed by his rage at the memories that the afor mentioned roar startled back into his mind. As the Stranger tried to talk to him he simply snarled like a rabid dog and kept walking. When he saw the dragons an inhuman roar rushed out of him and certain runes upon his sword surged with a red light. Blood lust dripping from his every movement he stalked towards the dragons.

(Retech I did not mean literally on fire for the eyes) As Rashid comes closer and closer to the cave he seems to become more and more agitated. He starts muttering "Don't worry mother; this blood will be far sweeter than the last time I fed you" and things like that in general. Rashid smiles as he checks to make sure that all 13 of his scrolls are in order and chortles "Come out come out wherever you are!" before moving into the cave. (On a side note Rashid scored a 8 on the mary sue test but I am not sure if I did it correctly)

Rashid's eyes snap open quickly. As he stretches his limbs and generally mutters to himself he hears the roar of a dragon. At that sound he thinks back to his home in the desert that was ravaged by beasts not unlike the dragons of this continent and as he remembered the carnage his eyes flashed in murderous rage. Rising swiftly to his feet he summoned the aura of light around his hand again and used it to cut a shield out of stone. Grunting with the effort he lugged the stone into the center of the circle and enchanted it many times with runes to protect him from the dragons various breath weapons and errant crossbow bolts. Then shield and sword in hand he headed back into the forest to find him some dragons to kill his eyes literally blazing with rage by that time.

(Etched in stone or drawn in paper or any number of things [a master of them is able to use certain abilities with hand signs and nothing more])

My idea is the basic runes are weak(ish) but there are stronger ones. Essentially the rune is an symbol imbueded with some magical strength (a symbol of healing would heal the recipient when activated etc. etc.) However with some skill you could weave runes together to create a whole far greater than the sum of it's parts (like what I did to talk to another member of my order)

What would the use of various runes be?

I plan to show more of Rashid's past (and why he was hunting the creature from the Red Court [/blatant rip-off of dresden files])

Ley the tavern is notably off topic (if we did not go off-topic on threads then there would be close to 5x as many threads here [or in the OT]) Also check my post on the front page of the dungeoneering discussion (it is a bit outdated but gives a fairly good representation of the characters)

I think you may have to research space travel to use the cheap colony ships
