How to use Google Docs to extract GE prices ~By Brainymidget
rsInvestorr replied to brainymidget's topic in General Guides
Any ides where I can find the data for total trade volumes? The data is there somewhere because they use it for the top 100 most traded items, but I would like to be able to poll the data for other items as well. -
Fastest way to 73 smith and 70 farming?
rsInvestorr replied to Joeybobjohn's topic in Help and Advice
I smithed to 69 using superheat item. Sat in a bank and made iron bars for a few days. For farming, get a set route down and do it 2-3 times a day. Hit the 4 areas and the Troll patch for herbs. Make compost every round and do trees once every 2 days. -
What's the fastest way to get 99 range as f2p from 64 range?
rsInvestorr replied to iamhellzwood's topic in Help and Advice
The best way to get to 99 range would be to buy members, and get a job to pay for it with the extra time you would save. -
You mention Draynor as a bad idea. I glory there on every run, then run north to Draynor mansion and plant the belladonna and evil turnip patch. There is an agilgiy short cut that takes you right to the farming plot there right next to the belladonna patch. I also plant a marigold in each flower patch. At current prices, the add a nice profit margin to each farming run.

Or you could train with teak and save a huge amount of time. Making legends capes puts the cost per xp for working with teak at about the same as oak. they are both just a little over 7gp per xp for both, with legends capes being a few tenths of a percent more.

Yes another MAGIC question... but for me personally ^_^

With super heating you will lose less money that any alchable (well, anything you can get in any quantity at all), and it is fast. I push upwards of 100k xp an hour. -
I used iban blast. Made for a quick fight.

It is a good idea to take advantage of any stat boosting opportunities available. Devious minds, for example can be boosted to (yet rocking out can't). I have 4 more quests to be able to wear my cape again as well, and have been superheating iron ore and making it into darts. It isn't the fastest smithing xp, but superheating is the fastest mage xp, so I am killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
-
Just camp at a 1 click bank, and superheat iron ore into bars. Once you get the timing down, you can really start to jack hourly mage xp through the roof. Just think about it before asking why not steel, addy, or bronze...
-
You beat me to it bedman. Farseer is also just as good at a much lower price. One thing, and I am stating the obvious here, is that you need all 4 pieces, including the staff, and you will hit the spec fairly frequently. Combined with enfeeble, you can reduce an opponent to a zero hitting neophyte. Is it worth it? Probably not. The ancient staff and zammy book provide a much better punch.

I agree here. We could derail the entire discussion defining the meaning of multitasking. I am hitting 120k an hour mage xp super heating, so with the smithing xp it really beats out MTA. There is no "downfall" as ore and bar prices are connected, aside from the fact that it is iron ore, and the prices haven't changed in forever. And lastly, Addy bars? You get significantly less mage xp and smithing xp per hour with addy bars.

Even maging in a rune pl8, you will hit hard with that high mage. Tank maging is the way to go. Without the MSB, tank ranging just isn't powerful enough to bring in the kills.
-
The biggest thing you have to take into account is xp per hour, not the number of runes you need. Mind runes for example take over twice as long to make as airs, so even though they give more xp per ess, you are training so inefficiently that it is a waste. If you need minds, it is faster, more profitable, and more xp per hour to just make air runes, sell them and buy the mind runes. Making tiaras is a good way to lose a lot of cash making a lot of XP, but that route has its limitations, and those are the dearth of talismans on the GE. You just can't buy enough to make training with them make any sense at all. Get good at FOG, get gloves and then train making airs.
-
Nothing. Super heating iron ore kicks the pants off high alch in terms of xp per hour and money saved.
-
Your mage lvl will cream a 99 str pure.
-
I have no idea what you are referring to as 'faster' there. That data is great and all, but it is missing the most effective training spell there is, and that is superheat. It blows the hell out of the mage training arena in terms of ease of use and xp per hour, and there is a lot less running around. You can also easily multi task wile super heating, not the case with the MTA.
-
Or you could test it out for yourself and save some major time going with teaks.

I think this is the future: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItHtOqh2Yk0

Pures are a way to play. Should you limit yourself to being a pure? Depends on how you want to play. Can pures be fun? This guyhad a great time with one. Anyone else remember Mulch Maker? Another successful pure.

I second that. Ratcatcher sucked! I purchased a kitten for the quest, ran out of food in the yard, and was screwed. Couldn't go forward, couldn't go back. It well over an hour before I made my way back to the front gate.
-
I wear d hide and range them. You can hitch them on 2-3 things in the room, so you shouldn't get hit at all. They are easily a decent assignment.
-
You should have tried it the day it came out. Holy cow, people made millions picking up equipment off the ground. When those first monkeys showed up outside the jail taunting the rest of us, it got pretty frustrating.

Just a bit of supply and demand here. Deliver some food for the Gnomes if you want more teeth halves.

No votes for the mighty Pineapple ring?
