  1. Sooner or later--later if we do nothing--she'll realise that something is wrong with her baby. And then her baby will die. And that will destroy her. And the longer she goes on believing she is looking after a healthy, happy baby girl, the more painful it will be when she realises the truth. It's not the job of anyone else to intervene though.
  2. Exactly, any restriction on voting is a slippery slope, despite any possible "advantages"
  3. You're right, we shouldn't bother defending ourselves against cyber attacks. No worries, just as long as the no-lifing fifteen year olds can still play Runescape, right? it's not about "cyber attacks".
  4. Yes. Are you Hitler? You seem to support many of his policies.
  5. Go read what waterboarding is before you compare it to "slapping someone in the face". Here, I'll even give you a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterboarding I know what waterboarding is, a psychological method that is considered to be torture. If I didn't know what waterboarding was, I would have jumped in the "Water-boarding is torture" band wagon like a couple people here. Waterboarding IS torture. Thats it? Thats your argument? Waterboarding is psychological torture since it mostly makes you feel like you're drowning. However, being in the same category as the Glasglov smile, iron maiden, or the rack is kind of strange, don't you think? Waterboarding IS torture I'll keep replying with this until you go and find out properly what waterboarding actually involves

  8. She should be able to keep it until it dies of natural causes if she wants, I can't believe some of the people on here making comments like "kill it" and calling it an "alien".
  9. It was labour who brought in university tuition fees, and it would be political suicide for the conservatives to even consider stopping funding post-16 education (colleges/ 6th forms), nevermind make it their policy. But let's not derail this thread into one about politics
  10. I'm pretty sure you have to have be a citizen of, and have being resident in an EU country for a certain number of years beforehand to pay home fees.
  11. The tuition fees for international students are probably still around £10000pa in Scotland - it's just EU/Scottish students it's free for and non-Scottish UK students it's ~£1500 pa for (as opposed to ~£3000 pa in England for Home/EU students)
  12. Couldn't this guy technically apply for citizenship and no longer be an "international student?" Would probably be a pain in the [wagon] because I'm not sure how the UK does citizenship, but it beats paying 10,000 pound in tuition. Takes years and is difficult
  13. They are called universities in the UK. You'd be considered an "international student" so you'd have to pay £10000+ tuition fees per year and I don't think you'd be able to get a student loan, so if you are looking for something "affordable" you may be dissapointed :\.
  14. Yes. Didn't bother to read the rest
  15. It is? It does? I see where you're going - just admit you want a communist/socialist dictatorship where a group of self-appointed bureaucrats control everyone's lives. (And using democratic countries to try and justify it, it seems...)
  16. any decimal that recurs can be expressed as a fraction - and for 0.999... that fraction is 1.
  17. Not going to happen
  18. Spoken like a true wannabe communist (or otherwise) dictator.
  19. nuclear power plants take time to build! they are a long-term investment in better energy security, you can't just build them overnight once all the other sources of energy start to run out.
  20. my point was that although democracy isn't a pefect, or even good really, system, dictatorship is much worse - I don't really agree with the idea that 51% of people should tell the other 49% how to run their lives, but 1% telling the other 99% how to run their lives is even worse. i said he is probably a communist because most pro-dictatorship people seem to be.
  21. Do I think they're after nuclear weapons? Yes. Do I have evidence for it? No. There's absolutely no evidence that suggests this is what they're after, just speculation. I've been trying to drill this into your thick skull for a while now. THEY HAVE THE LARGEST SUPPLY OF NATURAL GAS IN THE WORLD. Economically, it makes no sense to pour billions into creating a nuclear power source, and Iran doesn't exactly have billions to spare. No one really does. Iran is just as concerned about the rest of the world about long-term energy security - that "LARGEST SUPPLY OF NATURAL GAS" won't last forever
  22. violence doesn't solve anything. just observe him, and figure out what type of a person he is, then insult him in ways that will make him feel terrible, and destroy him psychologically. You serious?! Violence is like the only logical answer in a schoolyard. Infact, dont just beat the [cabbage] out of him, make it worthwhile, and taunt him while doing it. If he wins, dont give in, you may look kinda weak doing this but you'll look psycho; bring a bat. you also may get in trouble with the police
  23. Explain how democracy is better, given that people put governments into power under the pretense that the largely ignorant voting population knows what is best for itself. explain how dictatorship is better, given that it's based on the idea that a few elites know best what people want. let me guess, you are a communist?
  24. I'm sure in your dictatorship you would be one of the "enlightended ones"? sure democracy isn't perfect but it's better than a dictatorship based upon the principle of "we know what's best for you"
