Good. Think about the providers- if bunyip pouches go up in price, make some Bunyips and sell 'em. It gets regular people money. Besides, merchanting doesn't do too much damage. If a Dragon Plate raises 7 mil, wait for the price to come down or make some more money. Merchers don't have that much control over the GE. It's your geepee.

Wow, this is so different then when I was in 3rd grade and RS was in the top ten 'unknown' MMO's. All I have to say on this update: RSOF is full of noobs. It's the fate of every MMO to evenually grow down- many idiots flock to the game and the better players band together and let no one in. I'm not saying all newbies are idiots- Just that a lot of them are. I think there should be a 5m exp limit for members, too. If they couldn't post there's no [cabbage] storm. ;) Just so that we wouldn't have so much spam on RSOF. Nice update though. 12.5m seems a little too high for F2P players.. I'd get bored after too long.

Don't know about you, but for me I never, ever get randoms in combat. Usually about a minute after though. Hey, it's okay, just change in your 200k for 200 exp in Summoning! =D>

I did like old wildy better, but I really don't care about that, it's cause. Yeah, that's amazing, wear full melee armour when fighting magic. If there were PKers, that's a different case. Oh and you're right. I didn't think this was anything to get angry about, just releasing some residual annoyance.. so people could not care about it in public.

(We all know you don't care.) I'm not really mad, just kinda steamed, about taking out the wildy. (This is still new to me because I took a, like, 2 year break from RS.) I was reading up about RWT and such, and I thought... Who cares? I can understand not wanting memeberships paid with stolen credit cards, but how does that affect Jagex? If you steal a credit card and buy an espresso with it at Starbucks, does Starbucks have to pay for it? No. So taking out the wildy was all about RWT. But why? I mean, sure, the right thing to do and such, but seriously. What's the problem? People buy their stuff. I don't agree with it personally, but it's no big deal. It saves them a lot of time by spending real money, a loss for them. Why didn't Jagex just ignore it? Why pick now to become courageous? If Jagex had never removed the wildy, a chain reaction would've never took place. People wouldn't hate Jagex for no reason, there'd be no trade limit.. no GE, which is a bad thing... but still. I'm not saying RS is ruined because of the update in December, but I loved the old wildy pking, like when I was a noob. Grabbing chaos runes, running around, exploring with my clan... clan wars and such. it was so fun because it had that hint of danger. And Revnants are hardly the answer. Revnants drop, at the max I've seen, like 200gp. They're some of the hardest (Non-quest or -boss) monsters in the game. I've seen a level 17 hit me with 20 through prayer with no armor on. They're dangerous, cheap, and instead of replicating the thrill of the wild, just make me angry and not want to go. Why did Jagex think it was okay to put in these monsters? To cheaply try and replicate danger? Whatever it was, someone was high.

MMOWatQ. Massive Multiplayer Online Warfare and then Quitting. "Noob" members would swarm over and drown F2P with their dragon weapons, dragon armour, bandos, etcetera. F2P PKers would mass up and rebel, complaining to Jagex about how unfair it is. Meanwhile 'Member hunter' clans would spring up to kill members, for fun or because they think it'll give them drops. Ancient mages would zomgpwn... everyone. Many F2P people would quit- PKing is one of the funnest things to do in F2P. Jagex's cashflow would dry up, leaving only the pre-update members. They would panic without their new Mustangs, and take out the update. People would complain. The end.

Never said I was veteran, but I do remember the "good old days". I caught the end of it, but I still caught it.

I honestly don't see any difference at all between pre-'04 and '09. I am a veteran player. I am a noob. I play for pleasure. I don't have any 99's, fancy weapons, huge amounts of gold. I currently have about 75k, a Dragon Scimmy, a cool-looking hat and an obsession with Barrows armour. I am, in short, an average Runescape player. I am 13. I joined RS when I was eight. Throughout all my years of playing, I have noticed the growing amount of people who will call me a noob because they resent, people who will call others noobs because they're low level, and people who will call others noobs because.. well, they're noobs. It's culture. It's not just the expansion of RS, although that's part of it; It's not because scammers have mainly gone and people haven't quit yet, although that's part of it. The general populace has become.. idiots. It's not the people who play RS; It's the people. We, the people. The GE has not, actually, really changed gameplay. It's just we all like complaining about THE MAN opressing us and THE MAN regulating us. The GE is a marvelous idea. I used to think 144k was a lot for full rune. I make that much in less then an hour, fishing sharks and selling them on the GE. Really, what is the problem with the GE? You could say merchers. Well, merch yourself, then. You could say it ruins player interaction. Play a minigame, go with a party to KBD, make some friends. You could say I'm just a noob and to feer ur l33t sk3llz, with ur awesome 99 nad my n00by idiotic ways. I'm just saying: Get over yourselves. Not it. Yourselves. We all like flaunting ourselves. My one major quality is that I've played for a long while. I've een the head of many clans, wore many different sets of armour, and complained about many different things. Okay, so we're drowning in idiots. Ignore them. So people flaunt skill capes. Get one. So people merch the GE. Don't care. Join 'em. So, people are generally a bunch of giant douches, who don't look beyond getting the next 99 to show off, not really caring about the game. Smile and act like you're above them. We are.

They don't hate any class; number one Jagex is made up of employees that all have differing opinions, so using a single entity jot JaGex is redundant. And two, because a class gets more updates doesn't mean it's more favored. If there's something broken, fix it; if there's something fun, make it. That's the main thing development teams usually look at, besides times of upheaval like now, with a new CEO and new changes. Jagex hasn't updated fishing in a long while. Do they hate it? No. Melee, magic and ranged are all equal- if you all have the same states, circumstances, and level. When you fight a level 136 ranger that zomgpwns you in one hit and you say ranged is cheap, that's stupid. When you fight a level 52 mager that you zomgpwn in one hit and you say is underpowered, that's stupid. Just think- Why would the JaGex RS team do anything to upset its fanbase? Because then this happens.

Varrock West is the closest to the bank, literally right across the road. Look for the Smithing Tutor and you'll find it.

Yeah, once you end your subscription and you have more then 68 items, you can't put anything else in. Kinda sucks. And usually, people have prayer, summons, high stats, pots, and decent food to help them. Coming from a professional noob monster killer, level 200's and less aren't too hard. When you start getting into the 300's and 600's and so forth, then they start getting very hard. Look up the Corpeal(sp) Beast.

The times, they are, a-changing.. Pretty much, you can use this equation to see why rares are going down: ((Usefulness+price)x(How cool it looks+Bragging rights)) divided by (How many cool-er items player can affordx2). Basically, they're useless, barely have any bragging rights anymore, and we have so much more cooler things to buy.

As the owner of a private server several years ago, I can say one thing: Cheap fun for less. Since I in general failed at Runescape until about 3 months ago, when I started playing again, I can tell you that RS private servers are the funnest thing when it's 5 am and you're depressed about being a huge noob. But only for like an hour. Then the fun gets stale. The only reason to play is if you can't get your goals in RS fast enough, or you just wanna feel bigged up.

Probably something involving exploring. That'd be fun.. Sailing and Archeaogoly, butchered that word, sound pretty boring. Or maybe.... I dunno.. Flying? Just kidding.

Whining about how I've been playing so long and only have a Fishing and Magic 99.

Oh, I'm so coming. Even though I only have like half a set of rune, I'm sooo coming. This will be awesome. I just need to fit in 'Beating Desert Treasure' and 'Finally buying that stupid Whip you've been putting off' in between this and my 5 days of membership left.

My ignore list is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. I dunno if they still have a max on it, but if they do I'm nearing it soon.

This made me feel empty inside, because the kid was named Timmy. It made me feel empty from all the laughs that escaped. Number 1, reading about RS makes me feel so depressed about playing it, it makes it sound so nerdy. Number 2, I mean really, who would follow a strange dude who told you to sign in to a weird website? It's called a URL. While I am sorry for Timmy(giggle), it was kind of a gullible decision.

Do you know the one thing that pisses me off on Runescape? (We all know you don't care.) [cabbage]. Every time I go to the fishing guild, or hunt green dragons, or even go pvping, there's always some idiotic 10 year old saying things like 'my brothers a hacker and he gets out of jail this sunday' or 'ima come to ur house and bring some aks'(Actual comments). I get so sick and tired of these pathetic attempts to get attention or whatever they're doing! What happened to the RS I knew and loved three years ago, when most people weren't idiots? When some people actually decided to help you? In seems like in the year I've been gone, a bunch of redneck kids hijacked my favorite game! Not to mention the idiot PK'ers who have sprung up ever since they took out the Wildy. I'm talking to you, pknoob67, I P K N O O B S, urdead9889, whatever. Every time I go out into pvp and kill someone, it's like I kicked them in the balls, spit on them and murdered their grandma. It gets worse when I kill low levels who keep spawning next to me (I one-item in Fally for easy hp exp), and say 'remember me noob' or whatever. It's worse then friggin' ever! When will they learn some goddam manners?

Err, what? Dark bow specs instantly, not sure what your whole 'eat 2-3 times before you can spec' nonsense is about. D fire bolts are ANOTHER method of speccing, an ADVANTAGE in addition to the regular KOing weapon - a KO so accurate and effective that most ranger PKers don't even need a dark bow. The fact that you're actually arguing rationally with this guy after 16 pages is amazing. And all these topics are just annoying. MELEE IS OVERPOWERED DUR is annoying the heck out of me. Let me point out the Combat triangle basics: Melee: -Can only hit very near -highest hit I've seen is 60-ish, by a level 138 with a whip, arguably one of the best weapons in the game -Can penetrate defence very easily. Range: -Can attack from far away -Highest I've seen hit is double 90's with a Dark Bow, instant KO -Protection against Magic -Can hybrid without too much of an offensive decrease. Magic: -Can attack from far away -Can regulaurly hit 30's to multiple targets, freezing them -Highest I've seen is 37ish -Ice Barrage. ANNOYING. Back to the basic subject of this topic, the only reason there haven't been many updates for Magic and Range is because, well, there's nothing much they can update without making it too overpowered. Tell me 3 good updates they can make, reasonably, and I'll start thinking on it. And besides, with godswords and stuff, this is pretty much the equivalent of Mage Arena spells. Barrows doesn't count because they have ranging and mage sets too, and I've seen full Karils do some nasty damage.

It's because supermod Andrew answers them... I know that. It just seems like he's being a bit too honest. Trying to stop people from complaining.

Excuuuuse me, but I am very proud to wear my Dragon Platekilt. It saved me 400k. Plus, it's priceless when people hit on me, then realize: "omg ur a guy rofl"
