  1. Has anyone tried KDE 4.1?
  2. I've actually had this debate with a friend of mine. I argued a PC is any type of desktop computer and the OS doesn't matter as any desktop computer could be consider a "personal computer". A lot of people, though think PC means only a windows computer.
  3. Mac is an operating system. PC is not. How many viruses is linux getting, eh? I agree with you, you do not see them do is compare it to linux. It is always compared to vista. PC != Vista! That's because Linux isn't there biggest competitor. Mac isn't the name of the operating system either  . Its just the brand name. The Operating system is called Mac (brand name) OS X 10.5.x Leopard of you were to refer to the new one.
  4. He's just pointing out a joke. Lighten up.
  5. Well Out of the three I'd go with Fallout or Fable. The Far Cry series sucks in my opinion.
  6. Would that mean I'm all cut up inside? I dunno, go see a doctor. =/ Wtf, why waste $20 to go visit a doctor for something that MIGHT have happened, when I can just ask random people online? ^^ Its only $20, and its your health..

I've ended up writing my final draft for my english class. Oh boy, I know. I guess my friend invited me to a party tonight like last week but I apparently spaced it out, cause when my she asked me when I was heading over to the party I had no clue wtf she was talking about... Can't do anything about that now :wall:. Positive side to all this is that I finish one essay before i start writing my another paper that is due Tuesday :| . [vent] I have had papers back to back for the past month, including a span for 3 weeks of midterms which doesn't make any scene to why it took three weeks...[/vent]
  8. I'm fine with the way it is now. The only thing I'm looking forward to is using netflix on one of my consoles finally  .
  9. With the price drop to the xbox 360, I would get that. Many of the major titles are on both consoles so you wont be disappointed by your purchase by lack of hit titles. Xbox Live if you choice to have that has a larger user base then I find there to be on my ps3 but I don't play the major titles online as I had them already for my 360. The next generation of consoles shouldn't be around until 2011 or later.
  10. I've messed around in Ubuntu a little bit last night, is there any good sites to get some apps? I got some programs and, I haven't used windows for a good two years so when it pull up the extractor I had no idea what to do for like 5 minutes. I felt like such a dumb... after I realized what it was. I would have explored around more but I got Little Big Planet today so I was messing around with that a lot. I might try installing Linux on my ps3 when I upgrade my harddrive to 250gb. Ubuntu Studio, so that is a more artistic linux? If so I might try that out. OpenSUSE, nicer like visually or as a operating system as a whole?
  11. She's not out to kill, but to send them back to level 5.
  12. I'm going to installing it on VMware Fusion on my mac. It'll be easy to remove it I choice to get ride of it. I decide to download Ubuntu 64bit.
  13. I'm still a little confused on what NaNoWriMo is. Better explanation plz?

As far as I know about Linux it is that its a free open source operating system basically. I've never tried it out myself. I want to try it out and get to know it a lot better but I don't know which Linux is best. I only really know a little about Ubuntu but I want to make sure, before I download it is the best choice.
  15. I have had my MacBook Pro crash on me once relatively soon after I had installed Leopard on it. But as Laura0077 said, snow leopard is to help stabilize the OS.
  16. [hide=long quote] Possible, but that building is full of people with powers that were looking for him and he was close to them. Also he thought he didn't hit the ground as hard as he should have, meaning his fall was slowed somehow. How I see it is that, when he was falling, his emotions and everything were just going crazy during the fall and he picked up the connection with Claire. Claire as you all know doesn't feel pain now, so if Peter was able to quickly absorb her power for like the second that took him to hit the ground, in my theory he absorbed enough just long enough of her power to feel less pain then he would other wise and protect him from from the more serious injuries. I also doubt Sylar could of got away with using his powers like that in front of Aurthur. just think how powerful Aurthur is and he's collected so many powers over the years I'm sure by now he can tell when people use their powers or not. Parkman's dad was not an important character. It's Matt that is important to the story. I don't think that Sylar was trying to save Peter but that he absorb part of Clarie's power enough to save him when he hit the ground. Think about it, she was near him when he hit, and when he first got his first powers he had to be near the person(s) who had the power at first until he was able to control the power(s) himself. It's just my theory. He was important, he could manipulate people (like seeing Mr. Linderman). I mean what was the point in bringing him back if he is just going to die so soon? It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe he fooled Aurthur somehow.... Aurthur took Peters power. He can't absorb powers anymore. Plus, peter still didn't heal after he got hurt, if he even absorbed part of Claire's power he would have healed eventually. Just at a slower rate. Think about it. Does manipulating people service a purpose now that they have assembled the team? That was his purpose nothing more or less. He was also brought back as a familiar face, and we have only seen him on screen for no more then 5 minutes total this season. Doesn't sound like a main character to me. It also seems like Matt is going to play a huge role in this season and I'm sure they aren't going to want to repeat the same event that happened last season. Logically it doesn't make sense to me to keep him around. Fine, he wasn't important, but he was important to me! :boohoo: Peter no longer has powers, he could not have absorbed Claires. End of discussion. [/hide] I'm not going to give completely up on my theory until we get to see another solid episode. He's to important to the show to completely ruin. I guess you could say I'm being stubborn on this one, but I truly feel that you can't believe what you see. Its kinda of a recurring theme to the show.
  17. Hackintosh are legal if you buy your own copy of Mac OS X. Its been a good two years since I've really looked into it hackintosh so I'm not 100% sure on that. http://www.insanelymac.com/ is a site that I check biweekly and it is mainly a hackintosh website, one of the popular ones. In Snow Leopard their are some of the biggest changes since Tiger I believe. I couldn't find the exact article I was looking for but these will do: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08 ... _more.html http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/08 ... cocoa.html
  18. To answer your first question, we'll find that out in two weeks, because it is flash back episode.
  19. Who would complain? They'd be dumb not to adapt some of the features that makes Mac OS X superior.
  20. Interestingly enough, Windows 7 will make use of the windows micro kernel, just 40 megabytes in size. A nice improvement from the what, 1 gigabiclycle or more? That's still large, compared to kernel sizes back in 1990... All ya needed was 32 MB of RAM (at maximum) back then, to which only about a few hundred KB were in use with the system at idle. And heck, you only needed about 1 GB of disk space for everything, only about 18 MB (*gasp*) of which was needed for ALL of the core files and utility programs! And knowing all of that continues to make "Windows 7" look like a large rat... Sure, it is an improvement, but it ain't THAT much... LOL!!! ~D. V. 21. What do you expect, Mac is always in advance. Their only problem is the pricing and the games compatibility. Ya, Apple is always ahead of the curve. Which is good for me since I use my MacBook Pro everything and anything. The gaming compatibility part sucks, but there is nothing they can do about that since apple doesn't use DirectX. There are also ways around it to if you really want to play games on a mac. About prices: http://store.psystar.com/ or build an hackintosh. There are plenty of options out there beyond what apple offers you just have to look for them.
  22. I read some articles on Windows 7 earlier today, and it does look promising. I'm considering building a new PC whenever it is released. Everything is so clean and orderly. I like how they are taking steps to produce a task bar like the one in mac OS X (this is not a complaint, or mac vs. pc statement). To bad I read it is set to release in early 2010, when apple is set to release OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard in mid-2009.

I've read all those books in school... Huck in my 11th grade english class, Animal Farm in my AP Gov. class, and my 5th grade teacher read us the first three Harry Potter books in class. All the other books listed we read in my school too. So I don't know, I think it just depends on were you live I guess.

How to play an FPS: Step 1: Move aimer over enemy. Step 2: Push fire button. Ha, Halo is a FPS (First Person Shooter). I'm afraid to buy this game, because I know if I play it, its going to eat up a lot of time I should be spending writing my many papers.
