Switching Majors and Colleges
Seriously study something that your willing to learn and interest you. I picked film because I know I'd enjoy it, I haven't been disappointed yet. Transferring also isn't a bid deal, lots of people do it after their first year for many reason like your own no one will look at you differently for doing so its completely understandable. If your afraid of not wanting to pursue a career in history why not just minor or double major in it so you have other options. I would also suggest when picking classes for your next semester just any 100 level class that interest you so you can get better understanding of certain subjects and see whats worth exploring more.

Left 4 Dead
I've only recently heard about it, but this game looks like its going to be a ton of fun. Its one of the few non blockbuster titles coming out this year that I'm interested in.

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States
[hide=don't want a huge quote eating up the whole page] [/hide] A note my good friend wrote on facebook. I could easily say he's the most political person I personally know, and is highly respected. Thank you for that. Seriously. I am glad that there are Conservatives and McCain supporters who respect and know Barack Obama will do all in his steed to help the nation of America. How old is your friend? It would be cool to see someone like that eventually run for presidency. The World could do with a man (Or Woman, Black, Asian or any other race) who only thought about helping his nation. I believe he's 19 same as me. I don't really like calling people out on race but he is black conservative. He does talk of running for presidency, but who in a political science major doesn't. ha. I know he's going to do very well in his political future. He is a very strong leader, and does very well in a position of power, as I have seen him do under several different roles. He is very heavily involved currently in student government and in his fraternity (FIJI)..

Pick Up Lines
I liked the first one, not only was if funny but it caught me off guard. The rest just got repetitive.

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States
I went to one of his speech's when he came to my school, Arizona State University, and I enjoyed his speech. It was easy to connect to. Race for those who keep bringing it up, is man made. You can't control your race. I don't remember who it was but someone a few post up talks about Obama playing the race card. He is black, he may have white culturally but he is black. Its not like he can walk on stage and people wont see him as black, he has to play it, its apart of him if you like it or not. McCain is invisible to race, he's white, and male. Playing the race card was NOT the deciding factor in this race. It was the hope for change. Obama becoming president is huge not only for America but for the World as well. For those who complain about taxes, don't vote for your wallet, vote for the better of the country. Every election no matter who becomes president, these arguments are always be the same..

Linux?
That's good to hear, maybe now Linux continue on its road to world domination =D> With Ubuntu leading the charge looking at this poll created this morning on engadget it'll be awhile before we see that happening, but who knows linux is the number one operating system in Mexico so they already have a start.. Ya Linux is very popular in third world countries where computers are scarce and what computers they have are old. Linux is the #1 solution (imo) for them since obviously no Mac and Windows can have issues on older hardware due to req specs. Then there are Linux distributions that can run on just about anything. And we can only hope that a company will step up with Linux, making it easy to install and easy to configure. Don't forget the most important reason, its free.

PSP VS Xbox 360 - wich you prefer?
I do enjoy my PS3 MORE then my xbox 360. I find the whole PS3 experience better. Only compliant is that you don't get a mic when you buy the system or a component cable.

Dead Space
Honestly you really have to play it, don't think watching it does it justice. I just tried it out for about 30 minutes. Pretty scary waiting for the creatures to pop out, I have to give it that. Once I got to some tram room I was able to predicted when and were I was going to get attack so I stopped. For now though I think I'm going to stick with Little Big Planet until I pick up GoW2 on friday.

How the [Potatoes] do you burn a DVD?
Its been a LONG time since I've used windows movie maker but if I remember correctly you can create something like a super video cd or something that'll play on a dvd player. Or you could get something like Nero, cause I'm sure it'll have something that will allow you to do what you want.

Linux?
Well, today I finally got a chance to download and install Kubuntu (ubuntu + KDE combined) and it wasn't like I expected. I'm using it right now and it just reminds me of a lot of the reasons why I left windows in the first place. Of course everything is way more stylist but it just doesn't feel and run like Ubuntu. The installations also took a lot longer then I was expecting, I want to say it took around 30 to 45minutes max. So I'll definitely will be unistalling Kubuntu and sticking to Ubuntu for my linux needs.

Day and Age
I can't wait for the CD. The Killers are one of my all time favorite band. I purchased spaceman like right at midnight. Not going to kid here I think I was the first person to download it, because when I purchased it said the something about the file not being there, then like a minute later it started downloading. I like how they are returning to the Hot Fuss sound. Do you know if they are coming out with a deluxe edition?

Quantum of Solace
Well as an American I have yet to see the film, I'm a huge fan for the Jame's Bond series and will hopefully see it opening weekend. I also wanted to comment on the whole Bourne thing, I may not get my point across as I've been drilling this information into my head for this past weekend but the type of shooting style is called Intensified Continuity its part of "post-classical" films. Classical being part of the studio era... I'm to tired to continue on.. sorry I'm going to have to leave it at that. Of course none of what I said is going to change anyone's mind on the whole style. But I'm personally a big fan of the Bourne films too, I'm looking forward to the fourth one. If anyone wants to learn more about the style, read Intensified Continuity by David Bordwellor an article about the cinematography on the Bourne films. Bourne Again by Jon Silberg

Ha, that's very true. I'll give it a try later after I finish editing a movie I had to make today. I'll try and post how I feel about it, probably tomorrow when I get some spare time from what seems like 4 weeks of midterms..
