  1. 1. this was a subsidiary site to place these on...I host the main blog on Nostalgia critics website... 2. I mentioned that it was a remake of the Series in general... 3. I said he had more emotions unlike previous Bonds... 4. I am reviewing "Newer" films. I said I thought Casino Royale was the best Bond movie...I liked it better than previous Bond movies... Analyse that.....before you ramble on about my review... 1.Link to the site please. 2.its not a remake in the series. Casino Royale is one of Ian Flemings books, they just recently obtained the rights to the book to make the movie. You may want to look up what remake means before you use it. A new direction in a series is not the same as a remake. 3.You don't explain why he has more emotions. It is very clear that because it is his first mission as a double 0 agent that he is going to let his emotions take control unlike an aged, more experience Bond. When you read a review you want details. Otherwise the reader is going to be why the [bLANK] is he emotional, a reader doesn't want to play a game trying to solve the question when it shouldn't have to be. 4. When you review something, you don't review the whole series in the middle of a review. Make a separate review for that if you want to talk about the whole series. When I go to read a review on Casino Royale I want to read about Casino Royale not the rest of the series because I'm trying to find out more about the one movie not the other 20 films. I'm not trying to make you mad, like I have. I'm trying to help you improve if you want to become a movie reviewer. I don't know much about you but if your in college; take a intro to film class, learn some basics about film. Or buy a book about film if your so interested in it or a book in journalism. All these would help you write better reviews.
  2. Possible, but that building is full of people with powers that were looking for him and he was close to them. Also he thought he didn't hit the ground as hard as he should have, meaning his fall was slowed somehow. How I see it is that, when he was falling, his emotions and everything were just going crazy during the fall and he picked up the connection with Claire. Claire as you all know doesn't feel pain now, so if Peter was able to quickly absorb her power for like the second that took him to hit the ground, in my theory he absorbed enough just long enough of her power to feel less pain then he would other wise and protect him from from the more serious injuries. I also doubt Sylar could of got away with using his powers like that in front of Aurthur. just think how powerful Aurthur is and he's collected so many powers over the years I'm sure by now he can tell when people use their powers or not. Parkman's dad was not an important character. It's Matt that is important to the story. I don't think that Sylar was trying to save Peter but that he absorb part of Clarie's power enough to save him when he hit the ground. Think about it, she was near him when he hit, and when he first got his first powers he had to be near the person(s) who had the power at first until he was able to control the power(s) himself. It's just my theory. He was important, he could manipulate people (like seeing Mr. Linderman). I mean what was the point in bringing him back if he is just going to die so soon? It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe he fooled Aurthur somehow.... Aurthur took Peters power. He can't absorb powers anymore. Plus, peter still didn't heal after he got hurt, if he even absorbed part of Claire's power he would have healed eventually. Just at a slower rate. Think about it. Does manipulating people service a purpose now that they have assembled the team? That was his purpose nothing more or less. He was also brought back as a familiar face, and we have only seen him on screen for no more then 5 minutes total this season. Doesn't sound like a main character to me. It also seems like Matt is going to play a huge role in this season and I'm sure they aren't going to want to repeat the same event that happened last season. Logically it doesn't make sense to me to keep him around.

  4. you mention people not liking the movies you review, I think it is that no one reads your reviews. I hate to be negative towards you, but your reviews ramble on. Casino Royale is NOT a remake. You also fail to mention that it is Jame's Bonds first mission as a double 0 agent, where he is bound to make mistakes like he does, and puts his emotions ahead of his actions. You really failed to analysis this film. You talk more about how you don't like the older films then Casino Royale which is the movie you are reviewing. Do more reviews of current film, as those do better and strike up more interest as they are "new".

  7. I've been watching Dexter since the first season. That's one of the few shows that has consistency. I wanted to make a Dexter thread, but I was afraid it was gonna go the way of Always Sunny. Cable shows don't really go well in this forum o: Well that's want makes dexter different then Always Sunny, its premium television.
  8. I am a huge fan of AMD but seeing as you decided on Intel its almost pointless for me to post..
  9. I can't believe they got Elijah Wood to voice Spyro.. I will not being playing this game when it comes out, due to the fact that I've grown out of these "kiddy" games.
  10. what do you mean by beautiful?
  11. I forgot that it's coming out so soon until yesterday, when I had to decide which game's I can buy in the coming weeks. So many to choice...GoW 2 Limited Edition, Little Big Planet, and fallout 3 are what I decided on. If anyone has any person experience with the new SOCOM game let me know what you think? I'm considering getting it but the reviews aren't to promising.
  12. The CD is a return more to the Hot Fuss sound. This CD has already is being claimed one of the best CD's of 2008 [LINK]. The Killer's are personally my favorite band. All there stuff is really solid and easy to listen to. I also really like Human, its easily reminds me of tracks from Hot Fuss. They are also modern day "New Wave" band so that may be your turn off...

EA has started making mostly all there games Mac compatible so I'm going say that this will be released for Macs as it is such a popular franchise. I am almost 100% sure it will be without a doubt. The game itself looks very interesting but I have honesty grown out of series as I wasn't to impressed with the second game as the first.
  14. 360: Halo 3 PS3: MGS4 I don't play my Wii or DS anymore.. I just recently set my Wii up from having it sit in the box for 2 1/2 months since I've moved into my apartment, and the DS I don't really know were it is to be honest..

I've never used gamefly but I use netflix, basically the same service and I really like the quality and service. Do you ever find yourself not able to rent a game due to gamefly not having enough copies, particularly to older/ popular games?
  16. I use firefox 75% of the time, safari about 20%, and opera 5% I'm waiting for the Opera 10 before I start using it more frequently.
  17. So what for like the first term and a half you were to young? I'll remember him for 9/11, war in iraq, Katrina, and all the other chaotic messes he's had to go through.
  18. They are still going to keep Galaxies running alongside Star Wars The Old Republic sadly..
  19. I'm very interested in seeing this play out in the future. I wonder the reason he left THQ? More money?

  21. You guys are making it out like BioWare wasn't the original creator of the series. Were do you think they got there reputation from?
  22. It was announced like 2 days ago. Its a very interesting move for the series, one I'm not to excited about being a fan of the series as I would of liked to see a third installment be another console game.
  23. But that was a different future that no longer exists. But I still think he'll get his powers back or else he might as well be killed off. Peter only lost his powers that he's collected over time so he can still obtain more powers. I think peter lost every one of his abilities, including his original one. His father said "You don't have you abilities anymore Peter, because I have them now" We can only wait and tell if peter was left with his original ability.. I seriously find it hard to believe that Aurthur would steel Peter's power absorbing ability but anything seems possible this season...

Mainstream is really just the opposite; The lack of a subculture; The dumbing down of everything involved within it (and making it as safe as possible, removing all references to drugs, swear-words or even some political agenda). I do agree that the media dumb down subculture and that it is so they can increase the audience and in turn have a greater margin of profit. Look at Hip-hop for example; hip-hop started off a subculture of the Black community and now it has become a mainstream culture. Television plays a huge role in the exploitation of subcultures. I would get into more detail but I got to study for a test in my cultural studies class, funny enough.
