Things of the Past
Indeed. If there has even been a really bad graphic update, it's this. I thought I was the only one who felt this way. The new rocks are way harder to tell whether they have ore in them, especially coal. I find it annoying also. Plus at some mining rocks the ores in the rock looks like crystals/gems, when it's completely different from what it is. I have to jump on this train as well. The new rocks annoys me to death! It's irritating to always change the camera angle to see if the rocks have ores or not. And not to mention coal rocks in the mining guild. If you have max settings on, I always have to turn them down to actually see them. Please bring back the previous rocks! Oh yes. The old rocks were so much easier to see. What time is the riot?

Mine isn't all that great either, but I've been finding that almost any type of tier 4/5 armor makes a big difference. I've also been using magic a lot more since they introduced the blastboxes, and a platebody really seems to hinder that. Personally, I find that a Kratonite plateskirt and a Roseblood top are easy to get and make a good combo for soloing C6's. Considering how easy it is to get tier 4 gear, if your defense is high enough the platebody probably isn't worth using a bind on. Maybe you should go for a Spinebeam Longbow, Sonic.

Not that I'm aware of. Nor am I aware of any way for Jagex to know you're using it unless you're foolish enough to admit it ingame (admitting to using 3rd party programs is still illegal, even if the program conforms to the 3rd party rules). btw - I just saw the episode the quote in your sig is from. It makes a lot more sense now.

They might drop a bit when the bonus xp weekend is announced, most rares usually do, but overall rares will do nothing but go up.

But nothing that would really make you want to play less either. Jagex obviously needs to keep working on graphical updates (audio is debatable - I haven't had my sound on in years) or the game would become stale and people would move onto pastures with greener pixels. Although, I have to admit I would probably still play even if everything still looked like it did 6 years ago. :^_^:

Grand Exchange
I like the new GE. It really looks good. The RS development team have their fingers in many pixelated pies. If Jagex stopped updating the game and did nothing but fight bots all day (which they'd have to in order to keep up with all the throwaway farming accounts made every other second) then people would quit because nothing new would ever be added.

Really? I always thought that the sight's accuracy and speed bonus made it the better choice for training. I guess I've been inhaling mine dust for too long.

I wouldn't go for Gravite weaps myself, but I don't PK and don't care for items I have to recharge so it's really personal preference depending on what you like to do. Truth be told, though, they seem to be excellent for combat. K4ylan made some excellent suggestions. Depending on your Ranged level you might also want to consider the longbow sight. The party room was in Falador for some time before the court cases were introduced.

Botting in Runescape
I'll concede that bots are inevitable, but I doubt they'll ever be accepted. Until they are, then people will continue to be frustrated with them and these threads will continue.

I didn't know that. Thanks. It's always neat to find something new in F2P. As to wormy's question, the level 30 DG resource dungeon added maple trees for F2P to cut.

Martial Arts in RuneScape - possible idea for JaGex?
Tell that to Krav Maga. NT, it's an interesting idea but I can't see how it would fit very well into the combat mechanics already in-game. Perhaps if Jagex introduced it into fighting styles to augment specific weapon types (ie: 2H, rapier, whip, bow, etc...), similar to the class progressions in MapleStory (and I'm sure others, but that's really the only one I know with divisions based on weapon preference), but that would require breaking at least the upper combat levels into classes which I can't see them doing.
