  1. Fair enough, Xman. If those are your goals, then well done. You are what I would call successful. You set your goals, accomplish them, and then some. And I have nothing against pixel art. I was the first one to post pixel art on these forums. Jeppoz - You are a hypocrite. You can dish all that out but you can't take it. You make me laugh. When did I say Xman couldn't draw? When did I say I draw better than him? When did I say that he went around acting like he was god? I never said any of those things. Stop forcing words into my mouth. The insults are lame and childish also. Stop reading my posts and taking offense to them, which is what you seem to do on every post. You're a loser, I don't like you, and you need to get a job, other than ripping into every post I make that isn't even directed at you. Spend your time doing something other than worrying about how much you dislike me. I can guarantee you after this period I won't give you a second thought. Ok, I lied. One more thing. "This is a free world dude..." No, actually it isn't. Nor are these forums governed by anything you consider "free." You have no rights on these forums. Anything you do is because the administrators let you. This is a dictatorship, not a free world dude.
  2. Thanks The_Jeppoz. I'm sure next time he needs someone to pick his nose or wipe his [wagon] he will call you. I never said being a good illustrator was a bad thing. You take offense to my words and they are not even directed at you. I'm glad you know him so well; listing his likes and dislikes like that. I'm also trying to figure out what "he can also freehand draw better than a lot of people here " has to do with what I said. The only thing that makes him stand out from the crowd is that the rest of the people here who do pixel; suck. There are plenty of good illustrators out there, they just aren't that prominent here at tipit. Now stop picking apart my posts and leave it for the motivation in disguise that it is.

  4. Don't be fooled; time is nothing. I can speed sketch something in 15minutes that looks better than 90% of the stuff on here that people claim took them 2 hours. Read up. Copy paste some other artists work into photoshop, zoom up, and look at the techniques they use. Then again, most of them use horrible techniques so you may not learn much. If you really want to learn something, try looking at Shaw's work. He does an awesome job as far as overall composition. And I am by no means advocating piracy of others' art.

  6. It's too bad more time wasn't spent on texturing, and post effects. I see so many of this guys drawings, and it is such a shame. They have such potential as far as texture and shading goes.... Look at the detail of the cave floor and cave wall... they lack so much. The shading on the [spider?] is so flat! There is no texture anywhere except on the chain mail... Texturing is one of the main things that makes things look real. I understand realism is not your goal, but in a sense, it is. It's a form of cartoon, but a cartoony realism none-the-less. The red borders and text is also getting lame. Is that the only font you own? You are nothing more than a good illustrator. Prove me wrong.

  8. Post a drawing and have everyone shade it... see who does best. I like that idea. But I have the same question as tttia.

Class project? I thought you were an investigative detective? Anywho... Looks ok, but the text needs work. Gradient overlay on the text layer? Pffftt... I'm sure you're capable of more than that. Also looks a bit flat.. maybe adjust the levels to bring out the contrast in the dark colors? Just don't do it too much, too much contrast is never good.

  12. I agree, that's why I said to lose the whole theme... The abstract on its own looks fine. What's sad is your website.

  14. The whole dark corner on Sir_Flegg's ruins the idea of the handdrawn scribble style... I think it's a bit dark... Just my opinion....

  16. The whole VS thing and the line kills it. V1 minus the "Nature" and "Technology" text is actually pretty good on its own. Less is more on this occasion.

  18. Too bad he stole the idea from me...
  19. Would be cool with some less opaque lines behind the original ones, make it look more sketchy...? Cool idea though... I'm a fan of the scribble... (As you can see \/ )
  20. Perspective doesn't look good with those dimensions... Not sure why the concept is so hyped... Text could use some work. Nice picture though, did you take it yourself? Both of them I mean? Sorry, just not really feelin' it...
  21. Ok, I guess professional responses don't work well with everyone here, so I will be blunt. Cruiser - Nothing I have seen from you validates your posts. Please, shutup. Until we see something from you better than that blue rubbish you call a sig, you have no room to talk. Thanks for letting me know that if my school or work lets me take software home and I use it, that it is illegal; as if I didn't already know. Do you really think I just sit at home and do the stuff I do? Hardly. School and Work are the places it is done, and those are the places the software resides. That isn't even the point of the arguement. Did you create the software you gave examples of? (C4D and 3DSM) No, so how do you know the original intent? Sure, modeling is what the majority of people use it for, but who says you can't use it for other things? Nobody forces you to enjoy abstracts, that's your reservation. However, it's not your job to tell somebody what their software can be used for, when they ask for constructive criticism on already produced art.
  22. It's really not that hard to gain access to industry software. Right now I have access to Lightwave 7.5, 3DSM 5, PhotoshopCS Suite, Macromedia MX 2004 Suite, and SoftimageXSI 4.0. Did I steal all these? No, but places like school and work give me access to them. Plus people can buy student versions, and get trial versions online. I hardly see how pirating pertains to this arguement on abstracts. And yes, opinions can be wrong. It can be your opinion that my name has an F in it. That would be incorrect.
  23. Current sig text on the new sig would be ownage. There is too much empty space up top methinks.
  24. Deviantart level. Since when was there a standard there. Valiant attempt Az, don't let them get to you.
