I've actually been considering this for a while, so let's see what you guys have to say. Every 2 Days I will post a "Daily Sketch." This sketch will have a theme that you much try and convey. At first I plan to start with Emotions. These will be non objective, and at first won't even be sketches. I'm hoping to kind of lead people into the right frame of mind, and then go from there. Here is an example of how it will be posted. ------------------ Daily Sketch 1 "Love" Stock Acceptable: No Here are the rules: Minimum size is 640x480. Maximum size is 1024x768. Any style or medium can be used. Use of Stock will be declared on each topic. Time to create must be added to post Post only final piece You can enter more than 1 Enjoy ------------------- Then, the artist will post this: ++++++++++++ [.img]Artwork[./img] This took me 3 hours. This represents Love to me, because of the pink and the abstract heart shape. ++++++++++++ At the end of the week, we will compile all the entries and people can pick which ones they like best. The first few ill be non objective, and hopefully we will move into real sketches and drawings. I'll update this post with more info as I see fit. Please post any suggestions or ideas you have. I also need a theme list. Right now I have about 30 different topics we can use, and I'm open to suggestion. The first few will be planned out just so we can get people started right, but after that, I hope to make the topics completely random. Give me your thoughts.

If you're interested, see what you can do with this photo. A friend of mine took it the other day. The lighting is beautiful, as is the cat. Wonderful picture by itself. See what you can do with it? This isn' the original picture. When I opened it I immediately adjusted the curves, which threw one of the eyes out of sync, so you will have to fix that dark eye. I forgot to save the original. However, the curve adjustment fixed it alot better than it was, so I actually helped you out; the eye will be easy to fix. I'll show you mine in a little bit. Just something I thought might get people who aren't too busy involved. Update: Here are all the entries.... You guys gotta give people the benefit of the doubt... Until you find out that they ripped, don't say anything. Then if, and only if you find them ripping... you tear them to pieces (I'm quite good at that). ;lol: I make a conscious effort not to every accuse anyone of ripping unless I have undeniable proof. You don't want to be made a fool of if you are wrong.

Excellent job on the foreshortening of the deadguy on the last sig. Looks really good. Good luck with the sales.

"Speed Painting" and "Pixel" don't belong in the same sentence when used in conjunction. I suggest if you do it, to post a picture of what you want drawn, otherwise someone might have old stuff they will use... It's alot more unlikely that they happen to have a scene that looks exactly like some random picture somebody posts as the reference...

There have been many different battles of different kinds all over the media board for years. We started it with Photoshop Tennis and different rules. Haha. Who remembers Keiphus vs. Blazin Azn.... Man that pheonix picture he did blew me away. :lol: Then again that was about 2+ years ago....

Maybe it's just me... but I don't see how someone ripping you can hurt you so bad... It's part of life as an artist... I've had so many things ripped... if anything it's a form of flattery. I say punish the violators, but don't feel down... it's not like it's something you can control. It's part of the game. Get used to it. Why would you let someone else's actions influence your decisions about your art and how you conduct it. :?: :?:

If the grunge in the center was a little bit less uniform I think it would make it look alot better. The tree adds a nice touch, but I also wish I could see the building a bit more. Needs some contrast too. Good start.

Glad we got that cleared up TJ. Don't have time to respond to yours, I have found fresh meat with your supporter here. Ok. So you post a question. Then you go on to answer your own question with a statement of hear-say that you can't even prove. Then you go on to even STATE that you can't prove it ("which I highly doubt"). The arguement in number one made no sense to begin with, and you just made yourself look even more foolish with you trying to determine "what it is that I mean" and then backing it up with your own opinion of somebody you don't even know. Good try. Are you asking or flaming with rhetorics? Or am I giving you too much credit. :lol: It doesn't matter what I post, you will never find me deny someone of their talent. I never said xman could not draw. In fact, I think he is a very good illustrator. Which was why I found this post disturbing, as my initial reaction was that there was so much potential in the drawing itself, but it wasn't really completed; coloring-wise. Once again, you go on to list "things you haven't seen yet." Good arguement. The hypocrite statement was in reference to TJ being able to disgustfully flame, and then when I do it back to him, get all upset and tell me to grow up. It had nothing to do with the Xman acting like a god statement. You are taking things out of context and trying to use them to your advantage. Once again you have failed miserably. Again I am confused as to your purpose. You seem to be mocking me, but the majority of your "arguements" (an insult to the word, by the way) are questions. Are you stating your point and opinion or asking me mine? Because it is posts like yours that beget posts like this.
