Once you have been doing pixel for so long, and you become good at it, all it says about you is that you are too lazy to learn how to really brush. :lol: And most of the [cabbage] i see here now isn't even pixel. That smellysocks guy uses flash to do vector, and sizes them down.... that isn't pixel... hell, it isn't even raster.

I'm guessing you are trying to follow some tutorial and you can't get the sun to show up... Maybe you should learn more about bryce... Your sun is rotated on the complete opposite side of where you are viewing. Rotate the black ball where it says "Sun Controls" and then you will be able to see it. There are like 4 different controllers on there that have to do with the sun and the moon... You read "Numeric Sun Values" and are looking for exact text.... Well you won't find it. How about you tell us what effect you are trying to achieve and we go from there.

First, change the color. Then, change the placement. Then, make sure you don't have AA on for the text.

If the sky wasn't so blue, that would actually be kinda cool. Even though I'm not a big fan of freehand pixel.

Funny, when I looked at the text pattern I thought completely opposite of you, Eccentric. To me, it just looks like Filter --> Render Clouds set to a difference or some other similar Layer Mode. I admire the attempt but the end result could use some work. I agree with what was said, let your personality come out through the tag. :) That's something you would see on the side of a highway; it's not art, it's vandalism

Thanks for the comments. If I can get the spaceships textures to look good, I might put it in a space scene. I haven't applied those textures yet. I'm actually considering doing a 3D sword tomorrow. I don't know why I haven't tried one yet, but I guess since I'm not really into RS anymore, I haven't really thought about it. Heh... by bryce swords were kickass though. :lol:

Looks pretty cool, but the textures could use some work, as Tttia stated... It looks like somebody just filled in colors... I think maybe if more time was spent on it it could look alot better. :)

Well, I had been learning Lightwave 3D since last year, but most of my animations got deleted. I hadn't really modeled that much stuff, I was really into the animation side of it. I did alot of particle effects and whatnot, mostly for other peoples models. Anyway most of that got deleted so I don't really have much to show... Here is a ship I did based on some tutorial on the net.. I don't remember where it was. The ship isn't done, I still am adding alot of details on the hull and wings. Then after that I have to surface it with materials/textures/etc... Anywho, the colors on here are not the final colors, they are just there to help me see what I'm doing a bit better... Alot more work on this to come... This is a picture of my school.... I decided I would start modeling that for fun, this part is actually pretty easy.... I've done these 2 buildings in about an hour, and there are probably about 10 more buildings or so... Probably won't take longer than a few class periods to finish up. :) I just started an internship at a place called Atomic Pictures. You can view their website: http://www.atomicpictures.com . They are using a program called Softimage XSI. I'm learning that right now, so hopefully in about a month I can show you some really awesome stuff. I can't tell you how awesome it is to be learning from the best of the best. So long I have been around people (in real life) who don't know as much as me, and it's hard... My teacher can't teach me lightwave because he doesn't know... everything I have done is self taught. However, with the power of this new SoftImageXSI, combined with the knowledge of the owner of this company, I hope to learn the program very fast. I'll post some stuff up here soon. Be sure to check out the gallery of that website. If you get a chance, look at the Ford one they did. Really awesome stuff. The hard part is transitioning hotkeys between Lightwave and Softimage... Haha.. enough rambling... Let me know what you think of these models.. Just thought I would let some of you people know what I've been up to all this time... haha...

Before you read my post, know that everything I am about to say has the full intent of helping you. I feel that you are one of those artists who will respond well to criticism, so I'm going to give alot of it. Here goes. Think of it as laziness I think you could do a bit of a better job making the text more readable. By making it so subtle, yet obviously there, the viewer spends way too much time trying to figure out what it says. That usually isn't a good thing. I would suggest to maybe make it darker in some places, or make the stuff around it a bit lighter. I like the detail of the front rock. But I do think that the blurring of the background mountains might have gotten just a bit out of hand. Maybe it's just me, but the background just looks real smudged... Maybe instead of blurring and smudging, try to actually rebrush it? I don't know, but I think you could work on that if you wanted to. The dragon is pretty cool. Could use a highlight or two, but other than that, it's pretty small so I can't really say much about it. I think it would be cool to use more ambient lighting. Maybe use contrasting colors to achieve highlights and shadows, rather than just a monotone feel.. The real decision you need to make, is to pick your emphasis. At first, it seems the dragon. But with the way the focus is, it seems like it's the rock... but I can't read the rock.... Get my drift? I guess that's mainly all I have to say. Overall, good job. Lot's of potential here, hope some of this helped you out. If not, sorry? :lol: Good stuff.

I make sigs like those in 20minutes. :roll: Didn't waste my time at all, but I'm not entirely sure he is even gone. It's too bad I'm so damn fast... and so damn good. :lol:

I did a vectorized black and white of my friend that past away in that car accident. You might have seen his picture in my signature? Anyway, I took his picture and made it all scarface looking, and put it on a bunch of shirts for our friends. Printing on dark shirts is very costly. I recommend that you try and make a design that works good on light colored shirts. :lol: Good shirt designs and good logo designs are usually parallel.

Needs variety, as far as color is concerned.

InfernoNR7 - Graphics Tablets are only like $100.... Sure if you want an industry style one then maybe they are alot more.. but for just a nice Wacom it's like $100... I've gotten really good at the use of mine, or at least I like to think so... Definitely worth it. :)
