Tips and Tricks of Runescape.
Mibbit slows down your internet quite a bit, (at least for me it did). On topic: Always keep a Rune Warhammer, Blue D'Hide Chaps, and an Elemental Shield in your bank. 3 most common TT items, for me :^_^: Also, TRAIN SLAYER WITH YOUR COMBAT SKILLS. I'm maxed combat, with 88 slayer, it's depressing, seeing as the only levels I'll get are slayer :(

Third Bind Guide and/or Discussion.
It's not about taking minimal damage. What makes me a good keyer is I don't rely on the team. I do my path, they do theirs. They call me when they have key doors, I call them when I have GD's that will take forever (fire giants, hellhounds, that's about it tbh). Otherwise, we stay apart. As far as solo puzzle rooms, depends on the length. RC tiles room? Tank them, that room takes 30 seconds max. Color blocks? Tank them, have 1 person gt to get colors, or tank while i get colors. That room is 45 seconds max. Fishing ferrets? Debateable. Usually, I clear shades/necros, but nothing else. That room is 60 seconds max. Now when you get crap like 5 statues room, obviously clear angries. That room is probably 2 mins. If you carry ggs on you 95% of the time like I do, you barely waste time if you die. Gate drops, tele back, simple. Dunno why you always have the mindset that dying is a waste of time.

Mining Coal Effiency
You may also want to look into Juju Mining Potions. I don't know exactly how they work, but generally, you "find" a stone spirit, and it banks the next couple of ores you mine. These can be obtained from Herblore Habitat. As far as Penance Horn charging, absolutely worth it. If you can find a decent BA team that is solely for charing horns, you can get a full charge in about 4 hours, which is enough to last you for 8 hours of mining (gold at least, not sure about coal, probably longer). Note, this is for a Master Horn. Personally, I've been mining Concentrated gold lately (for xp), and have been getting XP rates of about 170k per hour. This is with: 86 Mining, Dragon Pickaxe, Varrock Armor 4, Penance Horn, Lava Titan, and Juju Mining Potions, with dropping all ore (except banked by Juju). In the end, I still get ore from the Juju Potion banking, so it is not completely unprofitable. I realise you are not high enough level for Concentrated Gold yet, but as others have suggested, I would get 77, do this method with coal, and then switch to gold. If you want to use coal for your smithing goal, I would suggest mining gold with this method, selling, and buying coal with the cash. Note: This is more for the XP-based gains, but I suppose it is still adequately fast if you want to bank the ores aswell.

Third Bind Guide and/or Discussion.
I love discussing DPS with people that only use mage (no melee bind). What happens when you're in an Abandoned/Warped, and a pickaxe is smacking you in the head? Also, if you don't do the logout trick to refill CSB, what do you do when you're out of casts? Inb4StaffBash. OT: Plate binds suck. Only person that should have a plate is Vex, because he is the original Platebeard. Imo, Hex > Neck > Gaunts > CCS > Rapier. Just because the general public has downs when it comes to using multiple weapons efficiently. Obviously Hex is an exception. Plate isn't even on my list. If you rely on a plate to live, you're doing it wrong. 1, Sacrifice. 2, Kite/Sidestep/Lure. 3, SS flash. All 3 are some of the best skills you need to learn in Dungeoneering.

Highest XP/Hr methods for skills
Personally, I've done Zombie Impling Jars for Construction. I know Blade has a log of ~28k sample size, and the cost ranges from about 21-23 gp/xp, and aside from the buy limits (500 per 4 hours), they are incredibly fast. I have a log of ~6k sample size at the moment, and I can't compare gp/xp, as I haven't kept track of bone prices. Although, my average jars per bone is quite a bit lower than Blade's, so Zombie Implings are possibly under 20 gp/xp at the moment. Gp/xp depends heavily on bone prices, and on jars/bone rates. Blade's blog showed an average of 1 bone per 15 jars, whereas mine show an average of 1 bone in 12 jars. Possibly a hidden update, for bones becoming more common. Compared to mahogany tables, I'd say mahog tables are faster if you want to buy planks, and just get it done. If you have time to wait out the buy period, and you don't want heavy, click intensive training, Zombie Implings are well worth the extra cost. The only clicking with Zombie Implings is looting them and taking them to Barlak. As far as Hunter goes, I recall xpx saying something about Draconics only being good after a certain level, 90+ if I remember. Until 90, you should be doing Carrions, as they give better xp rates at lower levels (80-90), and give much better seed rates.

If you bind a hood and a staff, what are you going to do to kill pickaxes? They are invincible to magic, and that would be your only combat style. Also, as xpx mentioned, battleaxes are the second best option behind two-handers, up until level 89, when you can get a Primal battleaxe.

Unafraid to bot
Going further into this point, what about if someone is retired? If they don't play anymore, I would assume IRL money > RS GP, right?

Let people know you're a new keyer beforehand. I did a 55 minute with a certain clan member who tried to learn keying, and it didn't matter because I knew he was new. It's good to see new people step up and start learning to key, regardless of how much they suck at first. You'll get better quickly anyway. I agree with Greg here, I don't mind slow floors with new people. I may come off as a jerk sometimes when I key, but it's the teaching that counts. People I've yelled at either corrected their mistakes and I've seen no problems with them since, or they avoid DGing with me now :P But regardless, it's the willingness to learn that counts, not necessarily the times.
