Mat Dog89s Skilling and Achievement Blog Welcome to my Skilling and Achievements Blog! Please, take a moment to take a look and post! : News and Announcements YAY! 97 Fishing! After wanting to take a month long break, I ultimately decided that I should't. I'll be at the Fishing Trawler for 6 days. At the end of those 6 days, I will go back to fishing Monkfish or Sharks to 99. Earlier on 8/22, I got Dharok's Helm, sold it for Guthans. I went back to Barrows, but I didn't get anything else good. Back to Fishing now. I've completely re-worked this thread. I hope you like! :) My other computer crashed, so I lost some of my level-ups. WHOOPS! Tomorrow I should have 96 Fishing though, so I'll be able to upload that one. I trimmed off some of my goals because I don't think I'll have the time to finish them. They are Mining, Crafting, Smithing and a few others. I'm expecting to get 99 Fishing in 3 weeks, it should be possible. Post if you wanna come see. : [hide=My Runescape Story]There have been two skills that have always caught my attention. They are Fishing and Slayer. Since I started this account, way back in October 2005, Fishing was the first thing that I did (excluding wondering around), and enjoied when I had logged in for the very first time. It was also the first skill that I got to 50+. Since then, other skills have caught my attention, so I drifted away from training it. But now, I am back to complete my first long term goal, and to achieve my first level 99 skill; Fishing. I started fishing Sharks, but I lost some patience for it. I'll go back to fishing 40k Sharks later on. (for 99 Cooking) Right now I've decided to fish Monks to 99. Since the introduction of Slayer, it has been my method of leveling combat, and it always will be. Slayer breaks the monotony of training combat, and that is why I like it. I will achieve 85 Slayer in the year of 2010. Achievement Diaries are always fun to do. :) I finished all of them in June I believe. (I forgot the date...) But here's a pic of them all done. Achievement Diaries Completed! I actually cannot stand some quests. Espically when I did Watchtower. I started it ages ago, then I finally completed it 2 years later. LOL! When I have the time to do some quests, I will do them. [/hide] [hide=Recent Level-up Picture NEW] I know its not a level-up, but its worthy enough to be here :) I chose the Garden Habitat because I chose the Polar one first, and it was a bit plain. I haven't seen the other ones yet, but I'll change it later if I want too. All of its maxed for my level (not habitat). It cost me around 550k, which isn't bad, but I kinda thought that 400k for the obelisk was a bit much... Oh well lol. (6/18/09) Tell me which one is better? :) [/hide] [hide=Miscellania Kingdom Management]I don't like to wait months and months to collect, so I just collect once a day. I use MTK to gather supplies for skilling, but I always keep a good amount on Maples so that I can make back some of the money used from high level tree and fruit tree seeds.[/hide] Drop Logs! I like to keep a log of what drops I've received. Some things that I like to do are Barrowing, Slaying, Metal Dragons, Aviansies, GWD, KBD and more.. I always log my Slayer drops, but only the ones that I keep. I only sell my drop IF I need cash. I really only sell my good Barrows drops though. I use skills for cash. I am planning on doing some King Black Dragon solo attempts for the KBD heads. I want this item more than I want a Visage Drop. Later on, I'll be killing a lot of Metal Dragons for a few VERY important drops; Visage, Dragon Full Helm, and Dragon Plateskirt. [hide=Slayer Drop Log]My Equipment and Inventory. I'll post a pic once I have my goal items. I do not yet own items in (). Helm- (Slayer Helm) / Robin Hood Hat Amulet- Fury/ God Stole/ (Amulet of Ranging) Torso- Bandos/ Proselyte/ Dragonhide/ (Armadyl) Leggings- Bandos/ Proselyte/ Dragonhide/ (Armadyl) Boots- Dragon/ Ranger Boots Gloves- Barrows/ (Dragon Slayer Gloves) Weapon- Whip/ (Saradomin Sword)/ Rune C'bow Shield- Dragonfire Shield)/ Unholy Book Cape- Firecape/ Ava's Accumlator Quiver- Broad Bolts/ Nothing I always bring Bunyips or (Unicorns with Scrolls), Super Sets, Ranging Potions and Monkfish, Sharks or Pineapple Pizzas depending on the task. So, I've been taking very frequent breaks from Fishing to do a few Slayer Tasks. I haven't been logging them yet, but I do have a few that I can remember. I though I'd post seeing as this area of my thread is a bit empty. =( There is a pattern in my tasks.... It really made me mad.. Having only 40k cash is not a problem for me. Im sure that you have noticed the sharks, which are worth 10m or more. I just sold them yesterday to buy a few things. I have 1m cash at the moment, and I'm still fishing sharks. Yes I do spend my money alot, which for me isn't a problem. The blessed sets have been sold for Miscellania Kingdom Management.

I have, and im going for 99 fishing by sharks. For some of my item goals I'll be needing 120k total sharks. :shock:

Hey nice blog! :thumbsup: So um, what did you put for kingdom management? Like how are you getting those clues, gloves and boots?

Support! It looks like a great monster to kill. One question however- Why have it drop Mithril Armour? Why not Rune? For something that may be difficult to kill should have better drops.
