Nice, you finally got Veracs Skirt! :D Get your combat stats to like 90+ then do Bandos. You'll be able to get 1-3 kills easily. I can get 2 right now at my stats. With Sara Brews though. :unsure:

I don't think of it as "helping". To me, its a method to get what you need efficiently without wasting a lot of supplies. Please, where are these "DIY rules"? I'd like to take a look.

Yeah, still not quite sure but I think that once I have good enough gear for GWD and corp, I might do ls. Not gonna ls claws though, I need to solo those. And no CS either, I can get cash from pking easy enough. Yea. I think I'll just do ls and cs for Armadyl and Corp Beast too. TDS should be easy enough for me to solo when I finish WGS.

About Me In Runescape: I started playing Runescape in 2005 when a friend recommended the game to me. I played for about a year before taking a break. I then went onto creating many different accounts, and I finally settled on my main account Mattie-Yea, formerly known as Mat Dog89. In the Fall of 2008, I started a goal of getting my first skill to 99. It was, and still is Fishing. I was level 78 or 79 at the time, and I only Fished Sharks. I did this through the Winter of 2008-2009 and stopped in mid-February. I started to fish Sharks again in the Summer of 2009, reaching level 90 in just a few weeks. The xp I was getting from those Sharks were slow, so I decided to fish Monkfish to 99. Right now, I'm around 160k from 98 Fishing, and I do not plan on leveling it for awhile. At this time, my main goals are to get my combat stats to 90; Attack, Strength, Defence and Range. I'm also working on getting 85 Slayer and 88 Summoning. My reasons for that are so I can solo TDS (once I get all the Quest points I need) and duo Armadyl GWD. I also plan on getting all my stats to 80+. For those that are already above 80, I plan on leveling to 90. My reasons for this are so that the transition from "normal player" to DIY will be easier for me. I plan on doing this once I finish on getting those skills up. My reasons for not getting 99 Fishing now are that I want my first 99 to mark when I started going DIY. In Real Life: Well, to start, I am a 17 year old male who lives in Alaska. I enjoy gaming, chilling with my friends, watching my new favorite TV show; Glee (Imma GLEEK), listening to all types of techno music and raving. Techno music is one of my obsessions. I simply cannot get enough of it. |^_^| My first rave was Digital 9/25 of this year. I never really went to these as the rave scene in Alaska isn't as good as it should be. I do plan on attending all future raves I can go to as Digital was defiantly a night to remember! I will be graduating high school in 2010, after this I will be attending the Trend Setters Beauty School to be a Hair Stylist, as it happens to be my other obsession. :thumbsup: My favorite type of techno music will have to be Hardstyle, although it is very difficult to choose as they are ALL amazing. What I'm Doing Right Now Well, right now I'm working on raising my combat stats to 90, with 85 Slayer, 88 Summoning, 95 Hitpoints and possibly 94 Magic. After I finish those, I will be doing some monster hunting for cash that I need for skilling. I will be soloing TDS and duo-ing Armadyl until I receive around 50 or 60m. After that, I will be finishing all remaining quests and working on getting Void, as well as some other non-tradeable combat items. Once the above goals are done, I shall be getting 99 Fishing which will mark when I start going DIY. I will sell all non-tradeable items and exchange all coins for junk/rares. I will, however, keep a few items that will help me gather some other items that I will be acquiring. Said items will be ones that I can get from an NPC shop. For that, I will be keeping 2m in cash to help me get started. In the time being, I will take some bank pics and some others I come across. Enjoy! [hide=Skill Goals] Combat Skill Goals I will be leveling all the above skills from Slayer Tasks. Non-Combat Skill Goals I'll be fishing Monkfish or Sharks up to 1k xp to 99. I will buy the rest of the raw fish. Sharks or Monkfish, whichever one I decide. :) I'll probably cut Yews for cash for other skills. Maple logs from my Kingdom. I will buy the rest later. Concentrated Gold ore with an Obsidian Golem familiar. I will smelt the Gold I've mined. Wilderness course and the Ape Atoll Course. Pyramid Plundering mini-game. I will be keeping the rewards. Black Hides from Black Dragon tasks and Gold Bracelets/ Amulets. Herbs, Limpwurts and White Berries. Best potion I can make. I'll craft the rune that makes the most profit. Red Chins. I might sell these or use for Range. Oak Larders and Oak Doors. When I sell everything when I go DIY, I will upgrade my house to make it pretty. :)[/hide]

lol finally someone to share my pain ;p although its probobly 100x harder for you just starting out with nothing. i had more herbs than i knew to do with before i was lvl 30 herblore ;p btw get crafting ,fury is a must :) This is why I want better skilling stats before I go DIY. I don't want to have to worry too much about all this. :P Also doing csing will help too. I will be using ls and cs unlike you two. Kinda hard to solo Corp Beast and Armadyl.

I do know of one other DIY who doesn't do any CS or LS but I don't see why not. So how hard is Barrowing without prayer potions? Like, have you got Dharok as your tunnel yet? Because him, or Karil in the tunnel with no prayer potions would suck.

I've really always wanted to try this, but at this time, my skilling orbits around money. Like really. However, I MAY consider doing this AFTER I achieve some of my huge goals. Like I want to be able to solo Bandos and Saradomin, and possible even Armadyl, and for that I want 95+ in all combat stats, except for Prayer which I will be keeping at 80 for awhile. Another thing that I think I should strive for before going DIY is 80+ in all skills and even 90+ in most skills so that the transition from non-DIY to DIY will just work out so much for me. Anyway, enough about me. I'll make a new blog soon (I had one, but I went inactive for awhile and stopped playing, I am now but I cannot find it) and then from there I'll see what I can do about becoming DIY. The only person I know who is 100% DIY from the beginning is Itam 69 who said he's "quitting" and he has achieved so much. From 5 or 6 Saradomin Sword solos, to the Saradomin Hilt solo, the multiple clue rewards, Barrows rewards, Slayer rewards ect. It looks like so much fun and I really cant wait to try it for myself. :) I wish you good luck on your goals... Congratulations to those who won! You all deserved it. However, I do think that when Jagex chose Excl as one of the Top 6, everyone knew he would win due to the fact that he has 30k+ subscribers. I found that just a tad bit unfair.

How is it done?

I would say only bring 1 or 2 prayer potions, and replace your armour with high defence armour. Slayer dart hits well even with a negative mage bonus.
