Either they do it for fun, which most don't (unless 99 cooking is exciting), or they do it because they try to impress others. Though, i'd be more impressed to see a level 40 with steel titan and no other 99s then a level 3 maxed out skiller

If you ever plan on unblocking steels, get super antfire pots and z spear (d hally for special), it hits really high very commonly. But if you are going to unblock them, don't stop praying, bring 12 ppots and piety (unless you want to flash pray which is really annoying). I was there earlier today and I was hitting in the high 40s OFF task, killing around 2 steels a minute, meaning you could hit in the 50s near scim speed, and with dragon slayer gloves you could hit a lot more commonly. If you are only considering unblocking them for being able not to pray, I assure you it's not worth it. Steel tasks have small numbers, so no point in wasting you time tanking them at a slow rate then powering through the task with piety. As for Black demons.. Ive never killed one since I started rs, so I have no idea.

Grats! They really are great cash, huh? I got a pair like 2 days ago, but only 3 people have commented on both this thread and my blog -.- you'll start to feel like a claw drops are no big deal once you get like 5 more, because by then you'll be expecting drops and making plans on what you do when you get them, like how I do it.

I originally wanted two 99s just for the +4 prayer bonus, not to show off the cape itself, and to have a cape that I could use in situations where firecape was too risking to use (corp). Once I got QP cape I stopped for a while, after Ardy cloak 3 was released I didn't care about getting a 99 at all. Now I'm just getting attack/strength for their usefulness in combat, instead of just for the cape

I'm lending them out until they start rising, then plateau, then I'll sell. But I'm lending them out for all the junk I can scrape out of my bank, just lent them out for 3hrs for 80k. But since you're a TIFer, I'll lend them to you for up to 5 hrs, max in trade :). I was joking :-#
