  1. It was never said zaros had and army but no evidence for the other is present either. So with that, when in doubt, go with the more logical choice. Objection! During the Ghostly Robes miniquest, we learn that Zaros had a lot of different beings under his control, including all sorts of demons, Mahjarrat, Dragon Riders and many many more. Haven't done ghost robes quest in years. Jagex needs to give you a journal to recall stuff from quests. All the lore that you've learned under different sections. Like on Zaros, the mahjarrat, the god wars, and other things you learn from quests to remember storylines. Maybe even write in steps to puzzles for helping friends. Runescape wikia has a pretty good knowledge base
  2. Someone posted s screenshot after visitng the volcano, it seemed normal.
  3. Who the hell said Gwd? We're probably going to be used as a portal, a gateway for Zaros to return to this realm, just maybe. Our characters are 'vital for Zaros' revival' and we are needed 'in one piece'. It could just be figurative or it could be literal. Zaros didn't die, he simply faded out of existance on this plane. Where's the vital for his revival part from? Also, Zaros wasn't in the God Wars (was he?), so it wouldn't make sense for him to be involved as his forces had largely been wiped out when Zamorak betrayed him. No, zaros was banished, his army wasn't wiped out until about the end of the god wars. It was when saradomin and zamorak got together and Nagasaki'd the wild. Zaros had no army, his 'army' were Mahjarrat, who betrayed him. Zaros had whole cities devoted to him. There's absolutely no evidence to suggest that Zaros' entire army was comprised exclusively of Mahjarrat. That's true. But I still don't see "Zaros Gwd". Oh and some copy pasta from RS Wiki; [hide=Copy Pasta from RS Wiki]In the recent Q&As from three Jagex Moderators (Mod MMG, Mod Roderick and Paul Gower), it has been hinted that Zaros will return soon. It was also hinted many years ago by the Chaos Elemental in a Postbag from the Hedge with the phrase "bizarre boron swell", an anagram of "Zaros will be reborn". During The Temple at Senntisten, the player collects three items to give to Dr Nabanik (Azzanadra), used to contact Zaros. This creates a connection between the temple and the plane where Zaros is located, allowing speech. This connection is only the start of what may happen when Zaros is fully reborn, as shown in a cutscene. The cutscene shows the dark mage's portal going crazy (almost destroying the universe according to him) but the mage thankfully manages to control it. It also shows an earthquake which cracks a Zamorak statue at the Chaos Temple. The Monks of Zamorak are furious, and suspect it is the Saradominists' fault. This manifestation of power appears to have violated the Edicts of Guthix, which prohibits all other gods from directly interfering with Gielinor (only the gods' followers can act on behalf of their gods). If this was indeed a violation, it is not known whether it was intentionally in violation of the Edicts, as the edicts were proclaimed during the God Wars, long after Zaros had disappeared from the plane of Gielinor. It is also possible that the Edicts do not affect Zaros as he had not been in Gielinor at the time they were put in place. [/hide] Some useful info there. Mod MMG, Mod Roderick and Paul hinted Zaros' return soon. I think it's a completely natural idea that it would be Zaros' return. It's like the walls have started to 'crack'; after the events where Azzandra opened communications with Zaros I don't see a Zaros GWd either. Zaros was banished/killed/defeated long before the God Wars actually started, and the god Wars woke up Guthix who then ended the wars and preventing all Gods from interfering. So its probably that Zaros doesn't know about it. But Can the Gods ignore the edict? Or are they actually prevented from interfering by Guthix's power? What would happen if a God broke the edict? Guthix also has no knowledge of Zaros (can't remember where its from) All I remember is that Guthix said something somewhere (letters to the gods?) when asked about Zaros, and he said that Zaros possibly could have come during his sleep (which is what happened, Zaros came along after Guthix was asleep and was gone before he woke up)

I guess its possible that some of his army remained, in the Zamork AoG campaign you wipe out the Zarosian forces in Morytania.

  7. No one seems to have brought up that Zaros was dead for arounda few thousand years by the time the God Wars happened, (Zaros died in the second age I think? GW was Third Age) Wouldn't make sense for a Zaros GWD.
  8. New skill starts with a B huh, it must be Bsailing!
  9. Mysterious new teaser, possibly for quest storylines.
  10. Essentially you become the heir to the kingdom, and you are allowed to get stuff as ruler. You have favor with your people, which ranges from 0-100%. You raise favor by working with your subjects (mining, wc, fishing, weeding, etc) Basically you deposit money into your kingdom, raise your favor, and then assign how many people you want to gather each kind of material (CON logs, regular logs herbs, seeds, fish, ore) some of these aren't available until after Royal Trouble I think. Pretty simple.
  11. Lol... he doesn't have 275 QP to do tormented dragons >.< I know, I was just listing best gp earning ways.
  12. Just walk around, do some quests, and get the feel of the new areas. Also, work on skills, Agility is very good in getting around. Right now the cheapest GS is 27m. Best way to make money is to hunt Tormented Demons (which you have to beat WGS to do), God Wars Dungeon, or to PK.
  13. Never played, Barbarian Assault, but I've been meaning to. I think I'll check out Orb Project and some Minigames I haven't done in awhile pretty soon too. Thiev updates are kinda cool, I guess I like being able to pickpocket more at a time, even though I can't raise my thieving any more. <_<
  14. Good point, isn't there a castle with some kind of Dragonkin marking? Yes, someone researched pretty well on a thread on the General Discussion board here. Not sure where the link is. Many of those spots are used after Spirit of Summer and Summer's End. This one? http://forum.tip.it/topic/208619-dragonkin-after-the-rise-of-lucien/ Yes, thanks I wanted to look over that again
  15. I always enjoy the fictional articles, what happened to the old series?

  17. I find your lack of original conversation disturbing. I've always assumed it to be in some quest or miniquest... It may be in some quest, but its been 4+ years since I've done the majority of quests, and I have forgotten a hell of a lot about them.
  18. "This person was of great importance." And the gravestone just says that it is too worn to read. I like thinking its for The Old Nite, I remember how famous he was in the old days, and an old Tip.it Times article is a nicely written memorial from a player who became friends with him.
  19. I was wondering if anyone knew the significance of the hill immediately west of Stealing Creation in the Wilderness. It has a stature of a warrior opposite a worn gravestone, and the hill is grassy.
  20. Either way is fine, just depends on how connected you feel to your money. There are definitely more options for ranged in members, for free players you're essentially limited to bows because the only crossbows are phoenix and the regular, which aren't too good. Bows aren't used much anymore either, most high level rangers you'll see will use rune crossbows.
  21. You are only sort of right. Anyway, there are PVP worlds where everyspot is open (except some safe areas such as banks) and there are Bounty worlds where players can only roam through the Wilderness or Edgeville. Protect Item prayers are disabled except for Bounty (+1) worlds, and you no longer get your opponents drops but calculated drops through a complicated formula based on what your oppponent was wearing, what his level was, etc. It is abused a lot, but not as much as it used to be. The Bounty Crater you described was introduced after the Wilderness was taken away but before PVP worlds were introduced to make players happy. After PVP worlds were introduced, the Crater wasn't used very much, and was eventually dropped in favor of the Bounty Wilderness only worlds.
  22. Check the tip.it skill guide, I've used penguins on the iceberg for the last several levels for me (now 62). They're net trap, so you just need small nets and ropes, but bring as many as you can set. Also, I believe there is a boat on the iceberg which has ropes and nets in it.
  23. 3 posts and already violating the rules......shame.
  24. Since the GE came out, its gotten a lot easier to trade raw materials and smaller items, and raw materials shot up in price. People will pay well for Yew logs, to work on fletching or firemaking, ore/bars for smithing, and fish for cooking. Other than combat, those are probably the best way to make money. You can either choose between using those materials for experience or selling them, but you said you wanted to sell for money. I remember when I came back after my 2 year RS break, I never thought I would play again. I started in about August 2004, played for about 2 years, then quit for while. During that time, the GE was introduced, and PKing was taken away. However, right after I came back, PVP worlds were introduced, so I decided to stay.
  25. Ranged is more doable now, especially with the addition of crossbows other than the phoenix cbow to the game. However, all good crossbows are members only. The best way to make money nowadays is through combat, and its becoming more and more so, with the pvp world drops and all the high level monsters you can hunt in teams that have been added since you quit. If you are looking to make money to support pure ranging, its easier to start off as many characters around Lumbridge will ask you to do menial tasks (like getting them 20 cooked shrimp, 10 leather gloves, etc) and will be a few hundred or even a few thousand gp. If you want to make money skilling, selling raw materials (raw fish, logs, ore) on the grand exchange (which is the way things are traded mostly now, especially smaller things) is the best way to make money skilling. Hope that helps, I'll check back if you have any other questions.
