  1. It's because the value of some elite rewards have dropped. Fury ornament kit used to be worth over 15m+ but now dropped down to around 1m. They however added dyes now and such... so I think elite is still worth it over hard. Considering druidic is worth alot more if you're lucky to get one. I don't think clues are meant to be hard in general actually, it's really meant to be a fun D&D in which you obtain loot from a casket after completing series of clues. Though the wizards have gotten alot weaker but EOC seemed to have that effect with some monsters. :/ I'd like the wizards to be challenging again but I doubt that'll happen now. Edit: And back in 2010, elites were dropped by bosses and monsters above a certain level. Thus why one reason it could be a higher level of difficulty then hard clues.
  2. Wouldn't chaotic crossbow work or possibly armadyl c'bow? Chaotic c'bow might be waste of tokens to those who hate Dungeoneering :P but I've heard dbane ammo really helps. I have used chaotic staff and it worked decent. Hmm melee.. I don't know about that - haven't tried it in a long time since pre EOC.
  3. Lol. Elite clue is trolling you. I just got one yesterday too and found out I had to get 63 hunter to catch a red chin. And I'm determined to complete it as well. Good luck on your loot! Better be worthwhile. :D
  4. At least these action bars are cheap compared to bank boosters. :(
  5. In the past, it was known as clan chats. When the Clan Camp update came out with the ability to make your own clan, they made two chats... and the friend's chat now is the old "clan chat" from the past.
  6. World map should be updated to update Priffdinas and surrounding area.
  7. I have such horrible luck with the nymph at Lava Flow mine . Been there from 68 - 77 mining so far and I only get boots/gloves. However I'm getting closer to my goal of 80 mining+. :D I think in June or July - I should be 99 Mining. But on the bright side, I got Dharok great axe the other day from Barrows... a new item in awhile. This is what my current Barrows collection looks like. This is done all through Reaper assignments which is 22 atm I beleive. I don't know why I get all of the plateskirts except for Ahrim...
  8. Some of my screenshots :) [spoiler='images] Me in September 2007 Getting 99 Mining untrimmed with a few friends and my brother back in May 2010. Fun Fact: Summoning and Magic both became my trim capes - I got Summoning first then Magic second. November 2012 Before EOC interface and World Event #1 came out I think. And my baby troll... :P
  9. Attack and Strength would be nice. Glad it got mentioned :)
  10. inb4 scammed by Big Mo for selling easy clues. :P Interesting though... been awhile since I played OSRS so might give it a try again. Would love to try out an elite clue..
  11. Wonder if anyone will actually play Soul Wars for double zeals conisdering it's semi dead. :/ Guess I'ma do Stealing Creations and get some bxp for Mining. ^_^
  12. King Black Dragon would be the most n00b friendly boss imo. It's good for beginners. Maybe not solo though - I remember I went with a friend back in 2008 and we both were low combat duo'ing KBD. So if you want to solo, then yeah Barrows would be another one. Just have to know what each brother does - like Dharok - he hits higher once his hp goes down (and that's also part wearing every peice of Dharok armour too :) ).
  13. The newspost is kind of wrong.. apparently the "legacy interface" and "legacy combat" setting is under "Gameplay" settings... Trying to switch via combat settings seems... wonky. Like previously - Legacy mode is supposed to switch you to "legacy" mode.. but if you're in EOC - it thinks you want legacy with eoc interface. However it shouldn't be because of the description... that it's meant to be for legacy mode. *shakes head* --- However I'm glad - I like using legacy interface but used EOC... and now this update makes it possible for me to use both <3.
  14. I've heard alot use dragonrider amulet + bonecrusher at Frosts. However if you don't mind banking, then that's up to you. I've done alot of that back in the days with war tortoise and cannon before Frosts got updated with the blue orb. There's really no wrong way to go about training Prayer, some prefer dragonrider + bonecrusher - but it doesn't mean you can't train on altar or use other methods. Unless you want to be efficient or want the fastest exp method? Take me for example, I've been using pengs/jot to train my prayer to level 75 on my hciw while I work on my other skills. It's slow progress but better then the thought of grinding at Frosts. And I don't do content I don't like. So I just train it a different way - as my own preference.
  15. updated first post to put my ironwoman instead of my main account for progress... (my main is 6 skills away from being maxed now). :D And my progress on Treasure Chest goal.. not bad for only 30 clues. I need 84 Construction before I can build the hard/elite chest :( So top hat and robin hood hasn't been put in yet. From left to right: enchanted hat, enchanted robe, black plateskirt (h1), black shield (h1), ancient page 3, bandos page 2, guthix body, saradomin chaps, saradomin coif, rune full helm (g), zamorak body, rune plateskirt (t), saradomin full helm, top hat, robin hood, rune platebody (g), rune plateskirt (h3), saradomin page 1, armadyl page 4. Ignore those flowers x.x lol
  16. Thanks for your tips! I included your quote under the suggestions so people know. :) I totally forgot about the Celtic Knot solver and is very useful for those not wanting to use skipping tickets but still want to solve these knots fast. And having an image of a scan path would be nice to see in the Tip.it's Scan section as that's pretty awesome! I actually never knew about this, and will definatley use it to help me out when doing scans. Thanks! :D Yeah, images make guides look alot more prettier and useful. Just added some. :)
  17. Introduction: This is a guide I wrote on the RSOF forums back in November 2013. It goes through what I do when I complete hard and elite clues including suggested requirements that are helpful to have in order to get clues done faster! Disclaimer: This is in no way the absolute best "efficient" method for clue hunting but it's close enough ;). There is also a very handy tip involving Coordinates + Notes so you can look up hard coordinates with ease - (check out the Hard Clues section for more info). So if you're getting into clue hunting, these are ideally the best monsters to kill although you may have your own preferences i.e getting through PVM or Slayer. Best Clue Droppers: Hard: hellhounds Elites: Male Jadinkos Skilling: Elf City Theiving. Also these are very helpful tools to use while clue hunting. Tip.it's Treasure Trail guide Table of Contents Requirements Other than unlocking certain areas for hard/elites, these are suggested requirements to have while clue hunting for speed and convenience. Preparing for Your Journey: Hard Clues Coordinates: Please note that this method uses the Notes feature in Runescape. It allows you to look up a coordinate with ease. However if you're new to clue hunting, I strongly recommend using Tip.it's Treasure Trail guide as it comes with pictures to help you! However due to limited space, two coordinates are on the same "note" line... so I'm really hoping they will increase the cap in the future. Uri Emotes This is a list of all items you should have in your bank when doing Uri's emote clues. You can use costume-skipping tickets if you rather do that instead. Maps Just posting this in case. Elites Compass: First before doing compass clues... Repeat after me. I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map! Sounds famliar? It's from Dora the Explorer... ;) and it really helps if you know the map of Gleinor. So I recommend being the map (knowing your locations) when doing compass clues. Posting this again for celtic knots and scan locations: The Celtic Knot solver is a very useful tool to use if you don't wish to use skipping tickets but still want to solve the clue fast. As for scan clues, the images is very helpful! Optional Suggestions: Use Meerkat pouch and scrolls if you don't want to fight Zamorak/Guthix wizards. (it does not work in a few places i.e Nature's Grotto). You can use skipping tickets if you'd like. I myself don't use them, as I like solving puzzles and such. You can also use Miscellenia teleport scrolls instead or arrive there via fairy ring. Have Tip.it's Treasure Trail guide handy. I've been using it since 2008 and still use it today to figure out riddles or anagrams! You can lodestone around instead of using runes to teleport though it's slower. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for reading!
  18. Update isn't bad but it really irks me that I have all these extra decorations... like what else am I going to do with them other then just dropping and see them go poof!
  19. Strange news. Didn't expect this at all. Considering he started to work at Jagex in 2010, kind of weird he would do something like this now. Must be a reason.
  20. I'd do reaper tasks - it's nice motivation to boss and get slayer exp. Otherwise could also do Slayer for money.
  21. I think it's because of how Jagex categorizes monsters. When they had the poll for us to choose which monsters, they had them grouped up. It would be nice to see other monsters be re-worked, and red dragons I haven't killed in years. Didn't seem to get as slayer task very much. Otherwise I never saw the point in killing them. And looking at their drop table, yeah when it's most common drop is mithril items... that's not very good. lol Red and bronze dragons actually I never really bothered killing.
  22. Good luck on your goals! I have a hardcore account myself too - working on Elf City as well. Quite the fun goal haha.
  23. wow very nice! waayyy better then my messy bank haha.
