Kemios: The trader states, "The ecologists want us to escort them to a hill nearby, where they can set up some anomaly-detector." He points out a group of two ecologists fiddling with a second antenna. (dinner, brb. Post your action, if you want)

Karl: You motion to them, and they understand, walking away from the anomaly. Your ears start ringing, and you fall over, going unconscious. You wake up back at the house, but there are no mercenaries there, and your artifact is gone. Kemios: You see three helicopters arrive at the cement plant. Two of them are filled with mercs, and the last has ecologists. The merc trader jumps out, and walks up to you. He hands you 300c along with a kevlar bulletproof vest (+2 ballistics protection, +2 melee protection). The teams set up at the cement plant, and clean up the dead bodies. One of the ecologists sets up a large antenna on the roof.

Karl: You reach a point where the white light is constantly on, and an artifact comes into focus. You pick it up, and you notice that the time warp has gone to the point right after the blowout. There are several mercs walking towards the anomaly, and one of them looks at you oddly.

Karl: You spot a flash of light, but suddenly, the anomaly forms out of it. You then see yourself, going backwards out of the anomaly, and continues walking backwards until (the other) you is out of sight. Yourself doesn't seem to notice you. A white light starts flashing on your detector.

Stephen: You keep walking. All of the sudden, your ears start ringing, and your vision becomes grainy. You hear your PDA beeping, and pull it out. On the screen you read, "Warning, hazardous PSY-emissions, leave the area immediately" Kimako: The commander tells you, "Here is another 10 9mm rounds for your trouble. Our trader has plenty of ammo for sale. Unfortunately, I can't spare any more at the moment. The same goes for an assult rifle. Your MP5 should do good enough for now." You go off to bed, and notice that Enigma is on one of the cots.

Stephen: They are still in shock, and you kill both of them with your handgun. You loot the bodies, gaining an XM8 rifle (average quality, poor condition, 30 round clip, uses 5.56x45mm) which needs to be repaired before it is used. You also find some 5.56x45mm ammo (13), and 100c on the bodies. Karl: There are three mercs sitting in the house. There is also one dead merc on the ground. Kimako: You return to the Duty base, where the commander is waiting for you. He hands you 300c and an MP5 (average quality, moderate condition, 15 round clip) for you help. He states that you can enter Duty, and has you take an oath before joining. Unfortunately, he has no more tasks for you today.

Karl: Your PDA has gone haywire, and the map isn't working right. You see a little trail of blood going off towards a house. Kimako: (both of the men are compitent, one of them just rolled a 1) With some well-placed pistol shots, you manage to single-handedly kill the remaining zombies. You loot the bodies, and manage to find 300c, but they have no weapons or ammo. The Duty squad members call in for reinforcements. -5 9mm rounds +0.5 handgun prof. Running out of food and w-[static]. Someone help us, [gunshot], [cabbage]! James just killed him-[transmission fades out]". You open fire on the zombies, and manage to kill 3 of them, but completely miss two of them. You squad members also open fire. One of them sprays bullets all over the place, but misses the zombies. The other one hurls a M67 grenade at the group, killing 7 zombies, as limbs and appendages begins raining down. +0.4 handgun prof -5 9mm rounds Varius: You reach Kimako. Karl: You begin scanning the anomaly, but it suddenly explodes into a blinding flash. Stephen: You come across a small UN security patrol. Stephen: You take a few more shots at the remaining loners. You hit the wounded one a second time in the chest, and he falls over, and slowly dies from blood loss. You hit the last one in the arm, but only do minor damage. Your two renegade friends, however, unload their Armsel Strikers on the remaining loner, killing him. You loot the loners in a hurry, as reinforcements will be arriving soon. You find 10 rounds for the AK-47, along with anoter 200c on the loners. Their weapons are all garbage, and are hardly worth anything. You run back with the renegades to the base, where you are rewarded with a cut of the pay (800c), and a M67 grenade. +0.1 salvage +0.2 AR prof. Earth: You run up to the other dog, and manage to slit its throat before it recovers. You open the bag, which contains 700c and a PDA! +0.2 melee prof. Karl: The professor tells you, "This artifact is quite useful! It absorbs minor amounts of radiation. Most people simply call it a 'bubble' ." You ask about any other jobs, and the professor replies, "We lost contact with a merc squad right when the blowout started. We need you to search for them, and hopefully find them alive." He marks their last known location on your PDA. Kimako: The men tell you that there was a radioactive blowout, which are very dangerous. You go back outside with the men, and notice that the bodies are not there anymore! Varius: The trader tells you that he will accept your remaining 240c for the woodland cammo. However, he has never heard of the faction of which you speak, and says that you are better off looking for yourself. The commander tells you that he has no jobs for you at the moment, but that you are free to do as you like.

You miss the second one, and it lunges at you, but misses, and falls over. +0.3 handgun prof. -2 9mm rounds Karl: You show the professor the artifact, along with the readings. He says, "These readings are good enough. I see that you have also taken some readings on the vortex anomaly? Well done!" He notices the artifact in your hands, and grabs it. He begins studying it, muttering something. One of his assistants comes up to you, and hands you 800c for the two jobs that you completed. Enigma: You report to the commander with your findings. He seems quite pleased with you, and hands you a basic bulletproof vest (+1 ballistics protection, +1 melee protection). You go to the bunker and fall asleep. Varius: The commander tells you that Kimako was sent with a squad of two men to the boneyard to capture it. However, he hasn't heard from them since the blowout. The commander hands you a red-dot scope for your MP5 (+1 accuracy) as a reward. The trader tells you that he can sell you a woodland cammo outfit (300c), which can go over standard armor. You practice some stealth moves, and gain some knowledge. +0.2 stealth Stephen: The loners ask the renegade, "Do you have the goods?" The renegade pulls out two RPG-7s, and then motions the man to brings the money. The loner takes out a suitcase filled with 3,000c, and brings it up to the renegade. After taking the suitcase, the renegade begins to pull out the RPGs, but then suddenly pulls a sawed-off double barrel shotgun out of his trench-coat, and shoots the loner point-blank in the chest! The other renegade fires 4 rounds from his Armsel Striker, killing the other loner. You can hear several men outside, one of them calling a distress signal. You hide behind a window, and open fire on the loners, hitting one in the chest, moderately wounding him. You miss the second one, but hit the last one in the leg, causing him to fall over. The renegades grab the goods and prepare to attack. +0.3 AR expertise

Karl: You look outside from one of the bunker windows. There is some sort of aurora in the sky, and the ground continues to rumble. You see a dog running around in a panic, until it drops dead, blood running out from it's eyes and ears. Suddenly, the blowout stops, and the aurora disappears. It begins to rain. The professor states, "I didn't expect another blowout so soon. We don't know what the source of it is, but everyone assumes that it is coming from the center of the zone." Stephen: You wait until the blowout is finished, and then go with the two renegades to watch the arms deal. They meet two loners in an old shed, and begin working out the deal. Earth: You don't think that would be a good idea, so you wait until the blowout finishes. You exit the cave, and it is raining. You hear growling coming from inside the cave, growing louder and lounder. Varius/Enigma: The guards tell you that they are in the Freedom faction. As the blowout finishes, you hastily run out, and make it back to the Duty barracks, without any incident. You (Varius) realize that you kept your weapons with you.

Earth: You manage to find a cave, but can hear growling coming from deeper inside. The ground is shaking wildly now, and you can barely stand up. Kimako: You figure you don't have enough time to get back to the barracks, so you run to the compound at the boneyard with the other men. The sky starts turning a blue-green color, and strange lights resembling the aurora begin to form. One of the men falls over from the shaking, but you are all safely inside the building. Karl: You are inside the bunker, so you figure that you don't need your MP5 out. The ground is wildly shaking now, and a few ecologists and mercs come running in the bunker. Enigma/Varius: You both end up running directly into the Freedom camp, and take cover in the barracks with the rest of them. They don't seem happy to see you, but they let you in. Stephen: You are already inside the warehouse, so you are safe enough. Through the violent shaking the leader (barely) makes out your next mission. "Once this radioactive blowout is finished, I need you to oversee an arms deal between my boys and some loners. If any funny business comes up, kill the loners without hesitation."

Kimako: Before you can examine the bodies, the ground starts to shake slightly. The two guards with you start running towards the compound, yelling for you to follow. Your geiger counter starts slightly ticking. Earth: You finish the last zombie off, and take the bag. Before you can loot the bodies, your geiger counter starts ticking, and the ground begins to rumble. Enigma/Varius: The outpost is surrounded by wooden palisade walls, and the main entrance is the only way in. The guard tower doesn't have a view of the backside, however. You continue to examine, but are interrupted by your geiger counters, which begin to tick. The ground then starts shaking violently, and you notice that the guards are all running towards the barracks. Karl: As you show the professor the artifact, the ground begins to shake. Everybody suddenly begins to panic, and you see ecologists and mercs running into the bunker. The professor gets on an intercom, and shouts, "Everybody find cover, I repeat, everybody find cover!" Stephen: You purchase an AK-47 (average quality, good condition, 30 round clip), along with 60 rounds for trading in the shotguns. You approach the renegade leader, who says he has a mission for you. Before you can talk, the ground starts rumbling, and the renegade leader runs and slams down a button. An air raid siren goes off, and you can hear a voice echoing throughout the valley, warning people to take cover.

Earth: In a frenzy, you run up to the two zombified loners, stabbing one of them, but missing with the pistol. He falls over, and starts squirming on the ground. You manage to hit the other one point blank in the head, killing it instantly. The bag is sitting there, almost mocking you. Varius: You spot 10 men, all with bulletproof vests, and AK-47s. There is a tower with a heavy mg as well. Nobody spots you. +0.1 stealth Enigma: (yea, I did that, just forgot to post it) You hide with Varius, and spot a barracks, along with a main entrance to the outpost. It is fortified with several sandbag-blockades. +0.1 stealth Kimako: You make it to the boneyard with two other Duty members, armed with SCAR assult rifles. You spot 10 dead bodies on the ground. Stephen: The renegade leader says, "It means that we get a big payday, these things sell for loads on the black market." He hands you 1000c, along with a M-40 Gas mask (+2 chemical, moderate radioactive dust protection). You check the trader, who has: RPG launcher: 2000c RPG: 200c each Basic bulletproof armor: 600c (+1 ballistics protection, +1 melee protection) AK-47: 1000c 7.62MM rounds (for AK-47): 50c for 5 rounds. 9mm rounds (for 9mm handgun and MP5): 50c for 10 rounds. Kimako: The leader says that he doesn't trust you enough to allow you into Duty. However, he says that he has an assignment for you. "Not far from here is an old boneyard, with plenty of scrap metal, along with a small compound. There use to be some loners there, but recent reports stated that they went missing. Will you help us?" Earth: You come across no factions, but two loners, and a small bag. They seem...strange, and keep mumbling phrases that don't make sense. Hakon: You fire at the final zombie, getting a headshot! Dog proceeds to tear the final zombie to shreds. You loot the camp, gaining a silencer, 18 9mm rounds, and a medkit. The rest of the equipment seems rusted, and barely working. +0.3 handgun prof. -1 9mm round Varius: You spend 160c for the two silencers and 100c for the two throwing knives. The trader says he doesn't have any scopes for the MP5, and that the main HQ is bound to have better equipment. You set off for the forest outpost, and arrive at the start of the forest. The outpost is a bit deeper in. You camouflage yourself. +0.2 stealth Enigma: You follow Varius to the start of the forest. Stephen: You come to the conclusion that the monolith were responsible for the attack. You think you might have killed the attacking forces earlier, so you return to the renegade base. There, the repairman offers to repair your Mp5, since it is too complex for you to do yourself. The renegade leader comes up to you, putting his hand on your shoulder. He says, "Did you retrieve the artifact?" Karl: You reach where the white light is constant, and an artifact starts fading into focus. You pick it up, and it appears to be some slimy, green mass. The chemicals continue eating at your feet.

Stephen: You come across two dead renegades. They have several bulletholes in them, and you figure that they were killed by the monolith patrol. You loot them, finding a crystal tear artifact on one of them. His weapon is missing, and you figure that the killers made off with his other equipment. The second one is dead underneath some bushes. You manage to loot buckshot (20), and a SPAS-12 shotgun (average quality, poor condition, 9 round capacity) although it needs repair. +0.2 salvage Hakon: You hit one of the zombies, doing minor damage. The trader offers you 10 rounds for 50 credits. (the MP5 uses semi-auto and full auto, haven't worked out burst yet) You have 76 rounds left. Hakon: You hit one in the leg, causing him to limp. Dog then moves in, and begins biting at the zombified loner, doing minor damange. The other one shoots, and hits you in the arm, doing minor damage. +0.1 handgun prof.
