I've only tried three different drinks: Spiced Rum and cocacola Yuengling Lager (oh god this was god awful) Vodka and sprite I don't really like any of them enough to enjoy drinking them just for the sake of the drink.

If people are explicitly told they can skip the tutorial, most will and it won't help player retention either. The tutorial reaches a compromise by leaving it up to the player by how its structured: we must choose to start the next chapter, we see Ozan specifically mention going to Draynor during the opening sequence, we're taught about world map usage, etc. It's set up to allow the player to explore or stick with an on-rails tutorial using the trail system.

Well but it is broken up into chunks. There's nothing stopping you from doing other things and coming back to the Troll Warzone tutorial. That's why they've got separate chapters. Did they change that when they made it f2p, or what?

Who knows if that's still the case.

...People really hate the tutorial we have now? It explains everything, directs you to skill guides, and gives you a good preface to each skill while being a part of the actual game lore. If people don't like the trail system it exibits, it's really no different than the flashing arrow we had on the minimap directing us through tutorial island. I really don't understand how people can hate the tutorial we have now when it's such an improvement on what we had before, both with function and immersion.

I highly doubt we'll see things like that anymore due to the nature of the toolbelt. The concept art certainly doesn't look like it has a hatchet end to it.

I doubt they'd do something like that until the end of the year at least. A bxpw right after a new skill release would be a kick in the teeth.

E: If anyone wonders how the tiramisu went, I dipped the ladyfingers too long in espresso and didn't let it set long enough in the fridge. I nailed the ladyfingers though, perfect texture, and once the tiramisu actually had a chance to properly set it wasn't that bad. Wish I had actual rum or amaretto next time though rather than crappy extracts. Didn't taste the same.
