Generally not when people are going to CT for slayer tasks. Personally if you see a vex, that's as clear an indication as any that someone is there. No different than any other crappy abyss/ct pker.

They were? I always got the impression that they were indeed neutral, what with how the Myreque storyline played out and his guthixian advisor.

I made this after watching the last video from Birgirpall. Since he's your fellow countryman, I figured you might be slightly interested:- 4551 replies

Falador is much farther away and wouldn't get there as fast. Al Kharid could be there almost immediately, and charges appropriately. Made sense to me, though I can understand if people think that might be just trying to "explain away" the problem. And anyway, the Gods aren't really interested in Lumbridge itself, rather the energy beneath it. It's the soldiers endangering the lives of their citizens I think that would be the larger problem.

I'm quite surprised since this seems to be a fairly common issue. Even going out of the battleground area, sound still stops abruptly, or gets stuck, or otherwise breaks. You must have been very lucky, then. That seems a pretty bland way of looking at the situation. So many game features can be trivialized with that mindset. Example: orchestrated music isn't a "revolutionary concept" and it's kind of boring because of it. Hopefully we can both agree it's how those things are done that matter most. The bugs I experienced in the first few days with the dorky action bar failures at bad times and the horribly desynched audio hasn't taken away from my appreciation of the brilliant music and the useful customization for NIS. I will say though that in the first few days after RS3's release, I shared your opinion. Over time, I found that changing as I loved fiddling around with different interfaces, keybinds...things that I wouldn't have been able to do without NIS. I guess we're just different. *resists the urge to sing Ebony and Ivory* -
So it seems like loyalty shop clothing are definitely being converted to cosmetic overrides. I guess I should instead say: it seems like there's more evidence leaning towards loyalty clothes becoming cosmetic overrides, unless this Jmod is mistaken.

I was already in a relationship by the time I started posting there, so I dunno. It has helped me get a glimpse on different relationships, which might help me should anything ever happen in my current one. -
Personal choices would be prey to the exact same issues, though. What ends up being the point, then? As for when I thought they were increased early on?

What matters most on average to people is getting clothing/exp. It's a very self-centered focus in runescape. Generally if we can't see how it benefits us, we don't care. The mods in charge of the event have a very difficult task on their hands of balancing that truth with some optimistic opportunities for those who take the event with a small degree of seriousness. Though I'm sure that they're experienced with walking that line all the time. After the last increase to the droprate and semi-instanced areas, I think they've hit on a sweet spot. It's slow still intentionally so you can't breeze through it in a day, but a large improvement from what it was before. Now instead of taking nearly the entire time of casual play throughout the event's 10 weeks to get frags, you'll need a fraction of that. Quite nice actually.

Surely they had to see that coming though. If it was just 4 weeks of "nothing" for the duke, that'd be rather boring. There might be options that GAIN us money in the next few weeks, like increasing taxes or putting fees on some service in Lumbridge or something. They've put lots of thought into arranging this world event so that there was always something "special" going on for each aspect of the event. I just can't believe they'd let the Duke's Decisions part die. I've prepared for this. I'm a level 5 luteplayer. I shall single handedly save Lumbridge's financial woes with my sick skills.

Should bugs be part of the grade? I think it's fair at least to apply the same critical eye over every area. Arceus cites the infamous glitch with the action bar as one of the contributing factors of the NIS' low rating, yet the music gets a resounding A even though the music frequently glitched and fell out of synch, leaving you feeling like you've watched a horror film. It completely disrupted the otherwise beautiful atmosphere they created when you heard BZZZPTTPPZZZPPCHHHH every two seconds, or an audio track froze, or your axe swings didn't match up with its paired sound effects. Part of the audio's chugging was due to the high volume of people on those early days, which was one of the reasons why the introduction was rated slightly lower as well. The biggest problem for the NIS was that a lot of old members had to "unlearn" what they took for granted. Function keys, click through interfaces, menu placement. If you were completely new to the game, this wouldn't have been as large a problem. And no matter if you were a veteran or as green as they come, if you spent some time going through each little button on the menu bar, you'd get a solid grasp on what shifted around. Most of it makes logical sense and once you start utilizing your hotkeys, things flow a lot better. All in all, it works out like many other games out there today. I personally think that's a great strength. There's comfort in the familiar. It's almost somewhat of a standard. Thanks to that fact it reduces that overwhelming "oh god what do i do" for new players, which can only help player retention. I feel like the positives of this system -- shoved to one cramped paragraph praising it after a detailed rant about finding where the action bar was -- was downright criminal. The system might still have it's flaws, but the update was just short of revolutionary for ease of play and adaptation. Maybe it's easy to shed any feelings of awe over this change because with a few presets, it's almost like nothing changed at all. But the level of customization we have now is truly awesome. In the misc section, it raised some really good points. This seemed like a prime opportunity to fix some old niggling issues such as the autocasting. Sadly it was thrown to the wayside. We also lost those features that you mentioned, like split chat. However, we did gain esc to close interfaces and a few other neat things like drag and drop. It wasn't a complete wash, but it definitely deserved the C rating given. And I especially agree with encouraging new and old players to try it out. -
To be honest, I'm kind of surprised people didn't select raising a militia. This is a war that could ravage the world and every hand is needed. Turn the defenseless liabilities into at least some people who could have a (slim) chance of surviving the coming days. Hell, it was cheaper, too. Ah well. I would personally choose requesting reinforcements from Al Kharid or Varrock, leaning towards Varrock since they're truly neutral whereas Al Kharid would follow the will of the Desert Pantheon when they arrive on the scene. Varrock is not that much farther away after all.

If Ana left at this point we might as well just unsub lol. Hope it's not true! I feel bad for asking and in no way mean this negatively but what did she do on staff?
-
I really like that they're working on improving the efficiency of the minimap. It's still a bit sluggish to update on things but it's nothing unbearable, and only when I have it larger than the "standard" size.

YES FINALLY We're not going to leave a shattered elder artifact just lying on a dolmen for any joe schmoe to pick up. Thank god. Wasn't the last Joe Schmoe to walk into the complex obliterated by it's automated defenses? You mean the defenses we disabled/defeated as we progressed, in the rooms completely past where the sword was? The defenses being the automatons, which no longer have Cres to direct them to defense, they just wander in the central chamber? I suppose so.

That's pretty foolish. If you actually take a moment to engage them on their opinions, most can explain why and how they come to their conclusions. If you just take it at face value, that's just asking for trouble.
