I haven't left Lumbridge since RS3 was released. Help me please. ;_;

The thing about long distance relationships is there is a reaaaaaaally long time in between seeing your girlfriend/boyfriend. Before you go, "HURR DURR NO KIDDING" just let it sink in. If you're trying it out, really trying it, give it more than one break and one visit. The reality of what you try to do often doesn't set in until after the first departure, where you're waiting all over again, in my experience.

Concern about the 200m in all skills thread
Kimberly replied to Gemeos2's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I would say - this time speaking as a mod - that the 200m is being moderated to the same level the rest of General Discussion is with the way it is now. The only reason why you see more mod actions there as opposed to any other thread in GD is because it's so massive. If there's an argument for less enforcement, I would think it'd have to be an argument that made sense applying to the entire board as a whole. On that front suggestions are always welcome. I figured this would be a better alternative than just hiding the post and completely ignoring user concern, no? If just left in the 200m thread, we would drive it off topic again discussing moderation policy and block out anyone who wanted to legitimately discuss the top 20, seasonal high scores, any NIS setups that might be relevant to training, etc. That sort of thing has happened before (with a different subject of course) on the 200m thread and I would hope to avoid it if we could, especially since discussions like these are supposed to take place on the Forum Updates & Suggestions board. -
Concern about the 200m in all skills thread
Kimberly replied to Gemeos2's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I split this off into its own thread so it can be given the attention it deserves, though the irony of the situation doesn't escape me. But as moderators work to protect the interests of the community, it seems fitting that the community take the opportunity to state if those interests have changed or if they're not being met. ---- I will be honest and post my opinion as an individual - not a member of the moderation staff. The topic was set for death the moment Suomi reached 200m all and nothing short of a new skill release could revive it. Only because there are some great and passionate people in the efficiency community is the thread still tracking the progress of the top 20. The topic's scope never really was anything more than tracking those top players. Efficiency and metagaming play an important part of that tracking, which gives the thread considerable life that almost no other discussion has on the boards. What's mostly moderated seems to be the bickering back and forth that usually gets regulars to go, "can we please stop rehashing x again for the umpteenth time?" Hardly seems right to calculate that into how well a thread is doing if they just argue the same thing over and over. At least by splitting it off into another topic, they can do that elsewhere. And if the drama is really missed, well, it's not really gone -- you just have to go to another thread for it. That's my two cents on the matter. Again, just my individual opinion as a member of the community, not as a moderator or a representative of the staff. -
You can laugh at the irony if you'd like, but if you have concerns with how the 200M in all skills thread is being moderated please post them here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/320335-concern-about-the-200m-in-all-skills-thread/#entry5432073

Maxed Players Banned (500m - 2.1bil total xp)

AHK can sometimes be flagged if it's not randomized, no? I took it to mean that he was using AHK but not that he was using 'illegal' scripts. -
So, Zamorak hit the gym to get a nice washboard stomach and the dress to compliment it and Saradomin decided to not be a blue hippy went for a trim and a fancier suit. THEY GROW INTO MURDEROUS, DEPRAVED MEGALOMANIACS SO FAST <3

If it's a dell you should be able to take the support tag and go on their website and download them to some portable storage maybe?

Whelp, it seems the login servers went offline. In a way this is good, I needed to do other things anyway. I couldn't break away from the game though. Nevermind, it's back up. For a few brief, beautiful moments it actually looked like a battlefield. Hardly anyone had logged back on and there were npcs everywhere. I saw death all around me and heard the clash of fighting...quite a bit delayed thanks to whatever synching problems are taking place right now with sound, but still...pretty cool.

I find it harder in good conscious to tell people I see on like, reddit, to try the f2p version first to see if they like the game. Remember when that used to be the go-to advice for new players? F2P is cool if you know what you're getting into, don't get me wrong...but it really can't hold a candle to P2P. So much of F2P's content is old and it shows. Now, everything seems old to us; we've seen and done all there is to do on F2P. But when I say old, I mean stiffly animated characters, bland dialogue, and only brief glimpses of lore. Instead of, "try these quests and see if you like them" it's become 'try the tutorial and buy membership if you like it.' I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing. In some ways, who wants to be told they need to sink dozens of hours into the f2p version to see if they should keep playing or buy p2p? In other ways, if people try something like Black Knight's Fortress and then play the Ariane quest on f2p, will they be too startled by the difference in quality to continue? Worse, if I tell them that monotonous style isn't entirely extinguished from p2p yet? What then? It's a tough call. There's still SO MUCH that needs to be addressed that I don't want to be the one who has to pick and choose what gets updated and what has to wait due to budget limitations...

Seems like ignoring/adding players as well as rightclick reporting them are adding their suffixes and prefixes, so they don't work right. On a day where my ignore/report options are getting abused like a drug addict abuses meth, of all days...

They're even harder to kill when swift navigation is crucial to success in high-risk situations.

God damn it, I spent the past few hours fiddling with it so I didn't look like an ass when I finally posted and I still miss something. Thank you. @_@ Sorry...

I have merged the "NIS and World Events discussion" into the update topic since it didn't make sense to have two separate topics discussing the same thing. PM me if you have any questions.

Things I would like to see, but I know I never will/will wait a while: The ability to assign the function keys to a tab cluster rather than the menu bar - vital for quick switching on smaller monitors that can't "afford" to have all the separate windows spaced out for easier licking The ability to make the menu bar and ability bar vertical instead of horizontal (GOD [bleep]ING DAMN ITSDFDSJFDSAJAGSDJGJDJAG) Bank transparency independent of HUD transparency OR shadow boxes for item slots similar to the backpack interface Clicking off of the bank interface to exit&move again (JESUS CHRISTAJSGREKWADSFGADSGKARSDAGA) or ESC to close the bank interface Local Chat: Hide to mimic Public Chat: Hide setting (I'm a moron.) When title bars are set to minimize when locked, have them snap to the nearest edges and ACTUALLY make the window smaller (aka the whole reason why people asked for minimized title barSDFSFKSFGKGWAKFASDKJGSAJSJGSAAGAGSW) Click through transparent windows like chatbox and torn-away screens (OBGEDSGDGASEFGAGASrsaDSAgJAFSDJFSJ) Really everything can be adjusted to with time, but I'm really absolutely livid that we can no longer change through things quickly with the function keys. The action bar can only fit so much when a good ability rotation already fills up over half of the available slots. The Quick inventory helps, but the quick switching would help more. As for the Battle of Lumbridge, the opening cutscene was neat...and then I saw they're just standing their shooting laser beams out of their frikin heads hands. Even if they were doing that for a week, that's pretty...weird. A battle of fierce deities and they're depending on humans to recharge their powercells, just staring longingly at each other over power beams in the meantime... Even on the battlefield, it doesn't really feel like a battle. The presence of two gods, large enough to be seen from almost the other end of Misthalin, and we've still got people in Ardougne calmly pilfering sweets from the stalls. >__> Don't get me wrong. The music is great, the cutscene was great, the events are spaced out long enough for everyone to get a chance at them, it's structured well, but it's not without its share of oddities. This seems like the sort of event that will be AWESOME to read about afterwards, but annoying to get through. I admire that during the downtime, you have opportunities to unlock rewards. I enjoy the fact that the battle is having an impact on Lumbridge and the NPCs around it are responding to it. (C'mon Duke, you only have 160k saved for a freaking emergency? I made 160k today buying chocolate. Step up your game.) I am delighted by the fact that we're going to have some hard choices to make down the line. I loved that when I first surveyed the battlefield, ScapeMelancholy was playing softly in the background as I saw the area I first started in demolished by a frightful struggle. So yeah, those are my first impressions.

So wait are you guys mad about his approach to his lifestyle, or the choice he made for his lifestyle? Child support is an issue regardless if you're married and alimony is settled with prenups beforehand. Planning finances and life goals isn't an issue unique to monogamy, either, nor is becoming completely infatuated with the idea of something rather than the reality.

Even I thought you were a bit besotted when you talked about treating her like a princess. Everyone likes to feel special, but when it seems like a woman craves gifts or lavish lifestyles instead of cherishing and appreciating what she gets that always strikes warning bells in my head. Dunno about anyone else.

I thought we were past the part of making definitive blanket statements regardless of the lifestyle people chose to pursue.
