Keepers of Misthalin

My clan has some role play elements. I thought I'd share a piece I wrote to introduce one of the big competitions we do. This was to pump up our clan members about the upcoming competition. I really had fun writing it. Feel free to share your thoughts. :D I included the video for you to that I made to go along with it. It was this note that revealed the four other families to Ava. She now knew which families to seek to bring the Keepers back together, and she now understood what the Keepers protected: Misthalin's Shadowed Secrets. Ava saw a ladder that lead her directly up to where she entered the stronghold. She returned to the castle and woke King Roald. She instructed him to spread the news among Misthalin that all decedents, or possible decedents of the familes: Rodard, Banryn, Tasshin, Athum, and Emath should immediately contact her. Her wounded arm, ruined armor, and tear stained face was enough for the King and he sent his guards to carry to messages immediately. He knew whatever secrets Ava uncovered were hers alone, for now, to bear. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The elders are back again and the Seal is under our protection. Which family will earn the right to protect this sacred Seal?

Oo fancy! How do apply for the Conclave? ;o And obfuscator, it'd really be awesome if you guys would consider it! I KNOW all the recruiters would really appreciate it.

We have a site :) With a gallery, event calendar, and whatnot. The intro page is a flash animation that features an awesome poem a clanmate wrote (gives that ancient loreish feel and whatnot), then transitions to an interactive page that links you to different parts of the site. That's just the splash page. The home page features news, a shoutbox, a twitter feed, and other stuffs. Websites are so great for info. Forums are cool, but they're messy. Websites you place info strategically, mainly to attract new recruits. Most of my forums are member only, so you can't event see them until you join. http://keepersclan.com

We pretty much accept anyone who fills out the application thoughtfully. If they put random crap in the application just to make it go through (you have to fill out all the questions for it to work), we'll ask them to fill it out. We also have a question asking about rs bans and mutes and such. We're a pg rated clan, so if the person was RECENTLY banned or muted, we probably won't accept. If it was a year or more ago though, we just make sure they've changed their ways :P All in all we're a laid back group anyway. To achieve full member though, you need to have been a member of the clan two weeks and attended an event. We make people prove their activity before we accept them as full members. We make them fill out ANOTHER app to become a full member. Most people cbb to do this sort of thing. And we cbb to have them around ;o

You'd need to define it more. Some people would be interested in a GWD fc, but overall monster hunting, including the lower bosses like KBD and Mole and such, they may not want to bother with. You need to set a clearer definition for your group.

As a recruiter, I've noticed there's quite a few people who post on super old topics. In the Looking for Clan section, this doesn't particularly make sense. People post to find a clan and typically find one within the month (maybe two max). I'd just like to suggest that topics older than two or three months get put in an archive (or deleted I suppose?). Since these forums don't count post count anyway, deletion shouldn't really affect much. There's posts dated back all the way to 2009. I think it'd help to keep the Looking for Clan forum current. It'd help us recruiters quite a bit and keep the forum tidier. Thanks! Ava <3 EDIT: It doesn't seem like you guys archive anything.. ever. Is that true? If so, why not?

Yeah, still having the problem. Totally weird.

Having quite the problem with the website not loading. It loads the blue background and the top logo, and after a while, the ad on the top right side loads. I let it sit for quite a while, but the actual forum content won't load. I have to hit the refresh button about 3-4 times before it actually goes. This is happening on multiple computers for me. An odd problem.. I'm not having issues with any other sites. Any advice?
