  1. Do not use hex mode. Black=1, white=0 . Use 15 sets of numbers. That should be enough for you to get it. Cannot get number 10!
  2. Don't total them up. Binary stands for 2 things, numbers and letters. Have a guess. Hope this helps. Im unto stage 10, I know what to do, I just can't work out the last bit!
  3. Onto stage 9 after trying 8 for about 5 minutes! Woohoo! Thanks to the guy who PM'ed me about 6, you have a strange name so I canot remember it, but thanks! Edit: Ditto for stage 9. Onto stage 10.
  4. No it's not, it has nothing to do with that! It is lateral thinking. Number 5 would require photoshop, but only if you completely dense that you didn't know what you need to know (difficult to put across without giving the answer away!)
  5. ^^ Ditto. Lil' help on number 6 please!
  6. We don't need a diary of your attempts! Look at the colour difference, once you have figured that out, it really isn't that hard.
  7. OK, got through 1, 2 and 3, anyone give a hint or clue on stage 4!?
  8. Wow mike, nice help you gave there! How far have you got on it?
  9. BUMP! Prize check! The F2P prize fund has been raised to 150k! Even more money up for grabs. This is shaping up to be a fantastic event
  10. You obviously do not understand the concept of what I am trying to say. Rares are not money. If Jagex made all rares untradeable tomorrow, and you owned 2 blue party hats, would that make you rich? I think most peopls answer would be 'no'. If you buy yourself a blue party hat, are you rich? Whilst most people's answer would be 'yes', I would argue not. You have just paid out 230 million for a hat, you are now significantly shorter of cash than you were before. You do not have as much cash, therefore you cannot buy as much as you could before. Therefore, you are 'poorer'. 'Ah-hah!' you may cry, 'But you can sell your party hat!'. True, then you would be able to buy other items, but then you would not have the party hat. If your money is tied up in a rare, the money you have available t you to spend is reduced. Of course, it depends what your definition of being rich is, but my definition goes something like 'The amount of cash you have to available to spend indicates how rich you are'. Now, in the real world, I would not agree with this statement, as if you bought land, or an investment, that would all go towards increasing your worth, but in RS, that is my definition of wealth. This is because RS is incredibly unpredicatble, the market is not as stable or as steady. It is also not governed by laws. Agree or disagree, but Rares are not money. I will not go any deeper into this, because 1.) I can't be bothered, and 2.) I don't think many people will b interested/understand.
  11. This would put billions into circulation and cause massive inflation. Are rares worth anything? No. In essence, nothing is worth anything unless you have a buyer and you are willing to sell. But even then, the hats are only worth what the buyer is willing to pay. Many people make the mistake that Rares=Money. That is not the case. If there was some catastrophic drop in the raes market, would millions of coins go out of circulation? Of course not, they would simply be spent on other things. A party hat is really only worth its high-alch value, nothing more. If you begin to pay out millions for each hat, you would increase the amount of money in the RS economy massively. If that happens, EVERYTHING in runescape, every little item will appreciate in 'value' overnight, or to put it another way, people will charge more for each item. Therefore, people with savings would be distraught, as they can now buy less with their money than they used to be able to. It has happened in History when the German government, the Weimar Republic began printing money by the shed load to pay off their reparations to the French, Italians, Belgians and many other countries that they owed money to. This triggered a massive hyperinflation, where the money being printed was worth only the amount that you would pay for a pice of paper of that size and weight. Hence, a loaf of bread in 1921 Germany would cost you 4 million Marks. If you paid out for rares, a similar thing would happen, altough not on quite such a drastic scale. Basically, it wouldn't work. And anyway, as Bubsa said, rares really are not a problem. It gives the rich something to spend their money on. If they didn't, prices of everything would slowly begin to rise, at the same rate as the amount of coins in the game. By keeping millions tied up in the rares market (note, not tied up in rares, keeping it tied up in the rares market means keeping money aside, specifically with the intention of spending it on a rare), puts a lot of money out of contention and circulation. This keeps prices steady. I hope at least 1 person bothers to read this all the way through!
  12. Amen. *Nominates this post to be Tip.It times article for next week*
  13. Cut the spam. Spam taken care of. ~misterxman 1 thing I have to add: I dont know what you are smoking, but since when was 120 gp 3% of 1200!? 3 % of the hi alch value of Steel plates is 36gp. Other than that, it sounds good. I aint gunna need it as I can hi-alch myself, but its good that you are providing a service for lower magic level people.
  14. Damit, can't make it. Looks awesome though guys, good luck with it. Hope all goes well.
  15. As the primary planner of this event, I would just like to express my utter disapointment at a few irresponsible and immature players. Events like this take planning. A lot of planning. However, obviously, every outcome cannot be predicted or accounted for, especially when certain disrespectful players decide to take it upon themselves to crash it. On behalf of all those who turned up expecting a good fight, and on behalf of the whole H1P, I would like to thank the minority that destroyed this party, for wasting my time and the time of the team, for wasting the time of all the people who turned up. Thank you very much. There is one consoling factor. The fact that these people have exposed themselves now for being complete idiots, and so we can ban them from all future events to make sure this does not happen again. The prize money will now be used in other events. I apologise to everybody who turned out to this event. I'm sorry that you were disappointed. I sincerely hope that the actions of this handful of people does not influence your view of H1P, and I hope that you continue to come to our events. Once again, I'm sorry that this event turned out the way it did.
  16. Just over an hour to go! Hope you all have a great time, sorry I'm not able to attend, but I shall leave you in the safe (hah!) hands of Blipo and the rest of the team. Happy owning!
  17. A new board has just been openned, right in time for our contest! Chek out The Tailor Shop for all your costuming needs! Nice one Tip.It! EDIT: Link fixed
  18. Then Blipo decides who wins. We do not see this happening though. The mayhem begins in a few hours!
  19. I would assume that the answer to your question, judging by this statement, would be 'yes'. Thanks for the bump.
  20. ST patricks Day, celebrated by the Irish, like St Georges day for the English and St Davids day for the Welsh. Bunno what scotland is. Anyways, I don't think they will do anything, it is too small a holiday, celebrated by too few people for them to see it as relevant.
  21. Answer: No Moral of the story: Don't run out of runes.
  22. People that use any spells other than Water strike will be disqualified and forcefully removed  So don't try it. No, you do not have to be a H1P member to attend this at all, we are about organising events for the general public to attend. Bring as many people as you can!! Yes, it is on a F2P world. Yes, mind bombs and generally anything that you ingest may be consumed (i.e. you are allowed food, drinks, potions, anything of that nature) Be aware of course that the only potion you can use in F2P is a strength potion, which of course is no good, as you are using magic
