I'd be a little surprised if you fast colonised all of Australia without any random event like I got. Plus if you do that you wont have the money to defend against an attack XD.

I realised attacking with a large force is silly after the Indian thing, but then you go do it again XD.

I offer the Russian nobles hospitality in Britain, they're offered provinces all over the world, and treated as a respectable noble rather than what the Russians treated them as. The hell I just realised my avatar was removed.... I spent ages resiszing it and checking it to make sure it fit in the specs, that's just [developmentally delayed]ed.

Uhhh, perhaps, though fighting over there would be hard for a Brit, so I might train up an army that is good at fighting over there.

I do not mind people taking parts of America, as long as it isn't too much. After it is done I'll probably go for a few chunks of Africa, and if any is left Australia as it would be a bit silly of me to let someone get control of an entire continent, it might cause problems later.

Well I'm not scared of Rocco, but I am currently fighting Indians and probably soon the Americans, well that is if Dungeonal will attack. So I would of colonised Australia if it wasn't for the Indian random event.

The way I was going to mod this was by playing as the enemy whenever you had battles, and overlooking battles between players. I'd also keep a stream of news coming in as there were wars going on at the time. I think what really is pushing people away is the setting, people just don't seem to enjoy modern set games and love fantasy set games, such as zombies, historic, space and such.

Well I didn't want to write up backstory and everything already if people weren't interested, if I got more volunteers I'd write up a backstory to the world and the scenario the world is in.

I guess you could use missiles if you wanted, it'd be expensive. Also using missiles on the enemy normally means a missile attack from the enemy, and the country you work for wont permit you to use the missiles, as they don't want missiles fired upon them. Though they wont disagree if it was a last resort. To be honest you're all just thinking of wild game breaking suggestions... Every game has its own flaws. I mean in Dungeoneering, you could just train by yourself and become absurdly powerful, hegemony, if you just turtle for a while as everyone fights and then wait when everyone is in the middle of fighting to attack, you will probably win, but that doesn't stop people from using it. I mean right now in Dusty's hegemony, France is in the middle of a revolution, I could attack Doom, and probably catch both sides off guard, but I wont cause it makes the game boring if someone uses game breaking tactics. So I fail to see why stating all the obvious ways to win matters :/.

Yeah, that could happen. But firstly, you'd keep your HQ in a secret location, secondly, you'd have security, well I hope you would. As I stated before it is about being ahead of your opponent.

There is no "best" squad really. If people used hand cannons, then the enemy would use snipers. If the enemy use snipers, you'd use anti snipers or just simply carpet bomb the area. If you feel you're at risk of an enemy bombing run, you'd set up AA. It's basically knowing the enemy and being one step ahead. Using outrageous tactics will get you known too much, and will earn you enemies, using smart tactics which don't give you away will keep you secret and strong. Also using outrageous tactics is overly expensive and explosives don't pay for themselves. To avoid me getting annoyed with the game and quitting on it, I will probably set it rather slow paced, with each day either being a month. Budget resets don't matter too much, as if you aren't reckless you wont have to pay for too much, but there will be a lot of fun missions.

Ehhhhh? You can.... You're given descriptions instead of visual. So like "Your scout reports that the base is rather small in size, probably housing around 30 troops. The north-side is a small sized barracks, while to the east is the vehicle depot, to the west is the target range, and to the south is the main entrance to the fort. If you had a satellite, you could probably save some money and change that scouting/sniper team into just a elite sniper team. You will control your units still, but it'd be a little difficult, also why wouldn't you have a satellite? You'd just be asking to be defeated without one, though UAV can do what a satellite does and it's a lot cheaper, just easier to shoot down, and any area with AA will just have the UAV shot-down and your mission possibly compromised.

Isn't micromanaging controlling your units directly, which is exactly what this game is about? I just read the wikipedia article :S.

Well it is easy to get a map, just need a satellite, which you could get on an advanced start. They don't cost a large amount of money and they save you a lot. But if you don't have a satellite you're screwed really.

Double post I know but this is sort of an announcement. It seems that not many people are actually UP to playing this game, and I think it is to do with the complexity of the game, or really how complex it looks. So I have decided, that I can make a weapon list, it wont be too large and it will make the game easier to understand for anyone who looks at it. If anyone is interested in grapsing the battle system before the game actually begins I will happily run a tutorial battle to allow people to understand the battle system. It will be a mission of your choice, and it could be a stealth mission or a large battle, or just any scenario you feel you want to learn about. Sooooo any questions? Anyone interested?

Yeah but that is the point of the punishment. It will get the child thinking about easier ways to do it and exercise his brains. Pretty smart imo.

I am, I'm not rushing into to kill them off, as they'll pwn me if I attack. I'm staying defending, and when they attack I try flank with another force.
