F2P discrimination getting out of hand.
Not really that stupid of a rant, a bit misguided, yes. F2P does get discriminated against by more people than you realize. Several of my friends are f2p and even they (as long time players) get very irritated by the treatment they are receiving. BUT, p2p also gets a bum rap too. Have you ever, as a member, hopped to a f2p world only to get trade spammed before you can even click on the red box that says "Click here to play"? That's what's ridiculous. Anyway, Limp, I love your last line, I may have to siggy that... He stole that plank + nails thing from me.

Farcasters and Safers
Its a fight both people have a chance of winning, in a safer fight one player either runs or telies, pretty much guarenteed, if you actually pked you would know this. Btw, pretty much anyone who is lame to far cast puts protect melee on the second you pull a dds out or break out of the freeze.

Farcasters and Safers
yes because eating would just be so stupid to do, why would I want to heal myself and not die. Ya, I would like to die and lose all my stuff. Why the hell would you wait till 30hp to be eating? I eat at 50hp on NPCS let alone real players who can hit much harder than they can. So many ignorant posts in this thread but ill just adress this one. The reason safing is stupid is becouse niether player really has a chance for a kill, when you eat up you lose combat rounds which essentially is worse then being low hp but still not 1 hittable. Look at it this way: I attack you, you get to 35 hp and eat back up to 85 or whatever, whilst you eat, i get in 2 more hits, you have to keep eating untill i stop hitting. Your down 3-5 food without dealing 1 damage becouse your terrified of dieing, if your that scared DONT PK, you will just waste my food and yours. As for farcasting: Go ahead and do it, but the moment it starts i will put protect mage on and walk out of the wilderness, i dont care who you are, sooner or later you will splash and i will get away, whereas if you would fight like a man i would bother to hang arround.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
No, all you would need is, good connections, a good attitude, proven accuracy in your reports, a high experience lvl and a clean record.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
Your from england, why butcher your own language?. Player mods have a valid place in this game, i just think they should up the experience needed to become one.

How can it be deserved, what could he have done that thousands of other players havnt done that have played longer and have more experience. He reported rule breakers. He helped the comunity. There. How many players do that? Not many. I barelly see any players with me at yew trees. Theres 144 worlds and a meriad of time zones and a meriad of yew tree locations. Theres also, runecrafting autoers, fishing autoers, mining autoers, auto buyers ... You think that no body reports them?, every body i know reports them.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
Theres no time requirement, and 6 months is NOT a long time and certainly not long enough to decide some one should be made a player moderator.

There isnt a time requirement. And you dont have a pm system on private servers.

rsc pkin thoose where the days ;)
It wasnt easier as such, but if you had the skill to catch, and a good server connection it was easy to get the 3 rounds, but then you also needed the stats to 3 hit, or the skills to eat faster then your opponant and catch them again before they can eat to full, its a lot harder then it sounds.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
There was pics and videos of him on the account, pic of his pm from jagex and much more. It was his second account, with his first having been banned for bug abuse. (Waterfall bug). It was a controlled test to see if it was possible to become a player moderator by kissing up to jagex on the official forums and reporting every one who broke a jagex rule, not matter how slight. and total play time on the char was 58 days, under 2 months.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
A player on a cheating website made an acc with becoming a player mod in mind, he sucked up on the official forums reported any one he saw breaking a rule and was made a player mod within 2 months on a lvl 36 account with no skill over lvl 60, he had no interaction with any player mods.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
To further elaborate, in both instances i did talked with it over with a jmod and apologized. I do not regret it because if another similar situation occurs I would have to be quick to use the ignore function or else the temptation may be fulfilled once more. If jagex enforces a 100% accuracy with mute reports then therefore muting the two players disqualifies me and then I accept the consequences of my actions even if I get demodded. I'm not p2p, I've always been f2p and I can ensure you that with the majority of younger players being f2p the tendency of abusive behavior is higher than in p2p. If i'm being verbally abused chances are the offending player would be abusive to others. By temporarily muting them it may save other players some grief and perhaps encourage the offending player to see the error in his behavior though most would probably be like "ZOMG, damn pmod, damn jagex for picking such ***** pmods." If abusive behavior can be clearly identified I sure it would be added as a rule. Jagex's code of conduct states that they wish all players to treat others with the respect they wish to be treated with. By my example if I'm abusive then I accept being muted too. I may not be happy about it but it's my own fault. Therefore I will refrain from being abusive to prevent my freedom being taken away again. Lastly my previous post was meant for the author of the topic. If they were verbally abusive towards you i can understand it, thats not really power abuse, the mute button is there to deal with abusive players.

Yes it does, thanks for confirming the fact that there is a problem with the current system when scumbags like you get nominated.

God Sword tradable?
If it was made non tradable thats just one less thing you can pk, making it not even worth the sharks and pots used to get a pk. People could go out with, fire cape, str ammy, fighter torso and god sword, and attack people, if they get a lucky ko they get everything the other player was wearing, if they die they lose nothing, tele edge run back out and pick it up.
-
God Sword tradable?
it currently is like that. people have written guides on soloing bandos, etc. However, not all bosses are solo'able (sara in particular) and JaGex wanted the GWD to be for teams. When i mean solo bosses I mean where teams are just not the best way to kill a monster or even possible (solo combat ;)) Based off what you said I'm thinking that the God sword should be untradable... Are you stupid? in almost all cases you need a team to kill it, so 4-6 people should get nothing and one person gets everything?. I dont think anything should be untradable, all untradable items do is ruin the wilderness.

Duel arena suggestions
I like it, i also suggest they remove the places in obstacles that mages are the only people who can attack from.

World 16 Airs Trade Spam. - Simple Solution.
The whole point of this thread is because when you set chat to trade, they spam it. Did you even read the post? And Thanks Dork. Takes a lot of spam to fill a chat window with nothing but trades in it, but if this happens to you then yes your suggestion is good

How jagex should have selected player mods.
There would be a limit of 2 nominations per person, and the people chosen arnt just going to give it to anyone. In your ever-so-perfect-plan, they wouldn't pick bad people. But your plan is far from perfect, none of the mods are perfect(even the best ones), and none of the people they would consider picking are perfect. I don't know when you decided you could speak for a good majority of people and say for them "I won't pick bad people to be moderators!" But honestly, you need to get a grip on reality. This plan has a very high chance of failure. Somewhere down the line, people who don't deserve to be mods will get recommended. Power corrupts. Also, as I and many others have said before, people who don't deserve player mod status are going to get it before those who do just because they somehow have a connection with an existing moderator. Jagex has the best system I can think of currently, and I think they should be the only ones doing the mod picking. Yes, they're not perfect, but I would trust them over a handful of player moderators who are picking from what would be a power-hungry crowd. And you said they need to be well-respected, well-known, and high level. That automatically eliminates any low levels, and there are some great low level moderators out there. Combat level does not equal maturity. And neither does total level. And while that may mean they have a lot of experience in the game, that does not by any means make them a mature player either. Some of the most immature people I've met are very high in combat level. I and other people have said these statements so many times it is getting redundant. And from what I've read, you have shown no backup argument(correct me if you have). If you're going to debate, you have to debate all the points. You can't just throw our best arguments against you out the window and act like they don't exist. Secondly, Jagex would never accept this. I can't imagine what an uproar you would cause on the Runescape Forums if you posted this there. And I'm not recommending you to either. You will get all the same replies that you have gotten here, and even more so will be from current moderators. I can't even remember if that many people have even agreed with your methods in this thread. And your idea wouldn't be any more welcome over there if you keep up your pointless flaming. You keep picking at single things but its the whole together that makes it work. A high lvl mature player mod would have the game experience to be a good moderator, and having played a lot of hours over a longer time period would know more mature players who would be a good nomination. He has a good reputation and is unlikely to want to ruin that, and he has a lot to lose if he does infact break the rules. I flame you becouse you make stupid points, like saying im trying to speak for all of runescape, where did i say that.. this is MY oppinion, no one elses. Low lvl player mods have a lot less to lose and in some cases as i have shown here have very shady pasts.

Is scamming scammers acceptable?
Good can come of it, for example if i scammed irulepoker out of 182m i could give it back to metalheart who he stole it from, thus good comes from scamming.

How jagex should have selected player mods.
I didnt say select famous high lvls at random, I said pick people who are mature and respected by the community, like leesters for example, or oddfaery, or s1acker, i could name 100 off the top of my head. Can you see these people nominating the wrong people couse they think its funny? I cant.
