  1. There wasn't much of a mention of mines back in the Napoleanic era, was there? I'm sure France could've just mined the entire border and have Wellington's army smash like waves against rocks. I think 20% casualty rates is pretty effective, compared to Dusty's estimate of "not very effective." Not to mention it drove away an army.
  2. I still don't see how cossacks, which are light calvary, are blocked by line infantry, which are heavy infantry. Clippity cloppity normally goes faster than crunch crunch.
  3. Hey Grim, isn't it reset day today? After doing the math, I realized that I still wouldn't have enough money to deploy my entire army. That's the fail part about having a huge army. Slightly over 14 million to deploy, yikes. ------ Actually, there is something I can do. The cossacks are authorized to begin raiding Prussia.
  4. I was under the impression that we were trying to figure out a way to allow you to leave gracefully. As my forces had already withdrawn, I doubt that I will be able to get my forces to France in time. Trol, you'll have to deal with the Prussian forces in France by yourself this time. Unfortunately, my budget is strained as it is, and I won't be able to deploy my army if I want to continue my research with the same level of funding. Sorry Doom, but you're on your own for this fight. Well, hopefully you have Trol. If the war is still going on in 1791, I'll get involved. That's only a week from now. ;)
  5. Russia mobilises its armies, in preparation for the struggle. Archi, whyyyyyyyyy? Not withdrawing doesn't mean attacking. :(
  6. The Polish lancers had already withdrawn. They're part of the Polish armies already. (As evidenced by the fact that I added them to my armies, rather than as "expeditionary force")

  8. Okay, here's my army. Imperial Russian Army of Saint Petersburg 10,000 Line Infantry 3,000 Skirmishers 2,000 Hussars 3,000 Lancers 2,000 Fusiliers 1,000 Dragoons 12 Cannons Imperial Russian Army of Moscow 10,000 Line Infantry 3,000 Skirmishers 2,000 Hussars 3,000 Lancers 2,000 Fusiliers 1,000 Dragoons 10 Cannons Imperial Russian Army of Poland 10,000 Line Infantry 3,000 Skirmishers 2,000 Hussars 3,000 Lancers 2,000 Fusiliers 1,000 Dragoons 10 Cannons Polish Provincial Army of Poland 10,000 Line Infantry 3,000 Skirmishers 2,000 Hussars 3,000 Lancers 2,000 Fusiliers 1,000 Dragoons 10 Cannons Cossack Provincial Army of Ukraine 2,000 Cossack Carbiners 2,000 Cossacks (Sabre) 6,000 Raiding Cossacks (Sabre) Old Russian Imperial Reserve 2,500 Cuirassiers 4,000 Imperial Guard ---- For the Swedish rebellion, is the Swedish army that existed when the game began fighting against them? If so, I think I remember a situation before when the nobles were rebelling... Hmmmmmmmmm. Could we have the numbers for the army? (Like number of each kind of soldier)
  9. Guten Morgan.
  10. Well if Dusty makes it a rule and we start posting our armies, then I will post my army.
  11. All I will say is, larger than yours. :P
  12. I've already subtracted research, and I always keep a fund for two deployments. :P Cuirassiers?
  13. I'd rather keep my skin intact and not be the strongest person in class, to be honest. :)
  14. Russia notes that with the reformation and the uproot of the nobles, it is possible that is not true anymore. Finally, Russia has ten more cannon.
  15. Live in space.
  16. Empress Catherine the Great scoffs at the size of Britain's puny army. (On the forum)
  17. Also, does anyone know when the last update happened and when the next one will happen? They've been a bit erratic recently. :)
  18. We're back! The tavern is back!
  19. Ah, that makes more sense.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hAleep6uBI&feature=related The Russian Imperial army has finished re-organising into several fighting units (that is, I finally spent time organizing it rather than just adding more troops each budget reset), in order to better facilitate combat operations as multiple armies, rather than just one big blob. They shall be controlled by a central command, and work in tandem. Their names do not indicate where they are stationed, only where they were raised. Imperial Russian Army of Saint Petersburg Imperial Russian Army of Moscow Imperial Russian Army of Poland Polish Provincial Army of Poland Cossack Provincial Army of Ukraine Old Russian Imperial Reserve
  21. Distract the people by blaming the nobles for lying to you, in order for you to send troops into France. "There were no WMDs!" Then kick them out of the country. Eaaaaaasy. Thanks, but what do you mean, four fronts? If you mean nations, I only count three. If you mean actual fronts, I don't know how Denmark or Austro-Hungary are involved. :o Also, that was a bit late, but it's still good. It would've had an even larger effect if it was suddenly announced in fliers all over France and a painting of a grand royal court with our leaders shaking hands and stuff.
  22. Well only the aristocrats are going to be driven out or possibly killed, and we all know they're not people. -sarcasm- Considering all the stuff about protecting liberty and stuff, I'm sure Doom would refrain from killing civilians.

Race: Lichtens Humanoid amphibians evolved from sentient kelp, deep within a vast ocean of an aquatic world. The water was crystal clear, allowing sunlight to penetrate several thousand feet into the water, allowing hardy kelp to develop on the ocean floor. They had lost their ability to photosynthesize since they evolved into herbivores, but their aquamarine color with green highlights remains as a legacy to their past. However, they inherited one special property from the resilient kelp which was not found in any other known species. Amazing skin. It provided them against protection from the harmful pathogens in the water, coupled with the powerful and protective filters on their lungs/gills, and extremely strong stomach acids. Their throats were also lined with the skin. It also became stronger over time, as artificial selection (skin quality was THE determative factor in attractiveness) favored resilient skin. The kelp became their main industry, using it for houses and even treated kelp for spaceships. No other material on the planet could be as versatile, leading to a complete disregard for metals and other chemicals until the present day. The species also exhibited strong sexual dimorphism. The males were complete idiots, but fought with natural and instinctual tactics. They also performed the menial labor, like digging or building. The females were the brains of the species, and had a cognitive capacity twice that of an average human in the 21st century. They were great lovers of art, and performed the intellectual duties. Advantages: HAZMAT skin - Natural resistance to all attacks, though rather low for physical injury in comparison and completely immune to biological hazards (see disadvantages) Mindless Males - Proletariat has little chance of revolting, and such a revolt is unlikely to go anywhere fast without a leader Bio-ships - Only requires a certain kind of world to produce a ship, instead of special metals. Materials are naturally resiliant like the skin, though obviously tougher. Naturally regrows slowly when out of combat Plant legacy - Can get nutrients by lying on the ground and absorbing nutrients and minerals through their skin (allowing it to survive in barren planets, though in the same temperature band) Kelp architecture - Developments and buildings are 50% cheaper, in a narrow band of planet types (that supports kelp)_ Disadvantages: HAZMAT skin - After living in such a powerful protective shell, the species has a very weak immune system. Basically death follows large scale skin penetration (that the skin can't regenerate within a matter of minutes) Mindless Males - 90% percent of the population are imbeciles. Though not mislead by other species, even ones that look like Lichtens (due to plant pheremones in the skin), they can be coerced by a strong female Lichten leader Bio-ships - Lack of technology into regular shipbuilding makes all materials except for Earth-somethingiam unusable Kelp dependance - Developments and buildings are 50% more expensive in other planet types (for the cost of shipping kelp in) OR can be built from standard materials at standard price, with a happiness penalty
  24. Okay. Could you agree that the Prussian troops are there to keep the French citizens safe, and not to persecute revolutionaries? Is that a fair agreement?
  25. So you like the Phantom of the Opera? In elementary school, I could sing all the parts. :P
