This is a real problem. The fact is, and remains, that there are people who are going to hurl racist and sexist insults in the game. You'd prefer to simply close your eyes and pretend it's not happening. That's not a solution that's ignoring the elephant in the room. You're not part of the solution you're not offering a solution you're only compounding the problem with your ignorance. The solution is obvious. Ignore them and report them, that's all that you can do. I don't know you, so I don't know if you know anything about the subject, but there is no way that JaGex can implement a racist and sexist filter, it's impossible. Certain racist words like the n word obviously, but if you get offended by comments like "Go make me a sammich" or "Get back in the kitchen" then you're out of luck if you expect anything from JaGex. It is simply implausible for something like that to happen. Just do your best by reporting them and ignoring them, that's all that you can do.

I fail to see how this is even a topic to be honest. You don't like swearing? Turn the filter on. You don't like racism and sexism? You add those players to your ignore list, report them, and move on.(Also, avoiding being a hypocrite would help wonderfully with that part!) It is a game, plain and simple. It is no different than real life situations. There are people in the world who are racist and sexist, and no matter what you do they will stay that way. If you get upset about that, there's validity to your complaints and numerous legal ways to deal with that. This is a game. If you handle situations with immature kids on a computer game the same way you do with people in real life, then it's no wonder that you attract unwanted attention. Just ignore those people and everything's better! Hard to understand I know. And also, since when did general discussion become personal life story telling time?

A type of player who considers himself intelligent (and in extreme cases gifted) which started playing as anyone else, and eventually reached the debatable conclusion that anyone else is ret***ed. Characterized by near-perfect grammar and spelling, cynical behaviour and sarcastic sense of humour (at this point I will mention that I type in British English), these types are wondering hopefully across Runescape in hope of finding an intelligent match, not realizing that they are in fact, total d**ks and that their heads are way too far up their a**es. A relatively rare type of player, for the simple reason that these lot keep their chats either set to Friends or entirely turned off. Me in a nutshell.

When I play I have everything except clan chat on friends. I don't like seeing unnecessary text and what not. Plus I don't give a crap if anyone thinks that I'm lame or arrogant. This is no different than the kids on XBL who try to say using M16 or shotguns in CoD is lame or pathetic. It's how I want to play, so who cares?

Really just to see what people think my stats are like. Yeah it took forever to get just those, but I also have done every quest. I personally wish they were better but people are telling me that they are pretty good. I just wanted feedback to see where to go with them next.

Is it really that hard to just scroll past a picture where you see the price check menu and obvious pk drops?
