  1. OH [bleep] YOU CHANGE THAT AVATAR RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME I- *Ahem* I just finished that show. I do not like Kyubey. It's good, but a TOTAL mindscrew at times and more depressing than a good few Cosmic Horror Stories that I'm familiar with. But anyways, are there any recommendations for a good UPBEAT anime to help me recover? Like, something moving, something that might make you cry, but something that will make you happy and inspired in the end. Like Gurren Lagann.
  2. Eh, different people appreciate different things. I liked it partly because of its resemblance to the ending of Mistborn. Madoka dun pulled a Sazed! You gotta admit, Homura blowing the living [cabbage] out of Walpurgisnacht and everything else in a several-mile radius was pretty epic, even though it didn't do much good. And her memorial weapon-switch after Madoka changed things was certainly a nice touch. And when you think about it, what happened in the end... It was pretty much the only way to avoid the certain and immediate destruction of humanity. Not only that, but Madoka managed to end a whole LOT of suffering before it began.
  3. I'm watching the Road Warrior, as well as post-timeskip Gurren Lagann. Feeling of cold emptiness and obsession over the heat-death of the Universe, brought about by watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica, is beginning to fade.
  4. Do you ever just get tired? I mean, like your very soul just wants to lay down and wait for something, anything, worthwhile. I knew I shouldn't have watched that [bleep]ing 'Call of Cthulhu' of an anime. Stupid Kyubey.
  5. Nexaduro. I am inclined towards non-strategy games, though I have been convinced otherwise. I am a highly unsuccessful GM with a record of abandoned games. In my hand is the bottle I like to call 'Necessity', into which I pour the liquid that is 'Memories' and which has seen christened many a ship of 'Regret.' ... Nah that's not right, I'll just go with A Streetcar Named Desire!
  6. Late, Halo. Kinda spoiled the joke, and a small bit of the show for those who might want to watch it. <_<
  7. Wow. The ending really is fantastic.
  8. Mami, not Miami. :P As of Episode 11, the bit that got me most was [hide]a tie between the various ends of the groundhog-loop scenario that Homura caused and Kyoko's final battle.[/hide]
  9. Holy [cabbage]. I can't tell if Incubator is the Big Good or the Big Bad of this f'd-up series.
  10. <_< Okay then. Give me one good reason why we shouldn't care. I never stop caring, that's just who I am.
  11. Oh Lynx, don't be so dramatic. You're silly sometimes but we all care about you. :)
  12. Oh that's not that disgusting, except a couple of scenes (both of which I holy [cabbage]ted at, so it's very good) It's meant to be a deconsturction of the magic girl genre, showing how it would really be like to be one, and as I have been told, sailor moon was quite like it, in the disgusting factor. It was a really good series, so good choice. I didn't mean disgusting, I meant... Well, disturing, which IS different though I suppose not by much. What scenes did you 'holy [cabbage]' at? Inkyu's reveal was the one that got to me.
  13. Erm...? What is?
  14. Sorry, I'm leaving that until I actually beat Portal.
  15. Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's an afront to reality itself. I suppose it's not that bad, I mean I've never watched Bokurano or NGE, but it's a strong enough mindscrew/genre deconstruction that TVTropes guided me to it while I was looking into said shows. It's one of those shows like Sailor Moon or whatever, TVTropes calls it the 'Magical Girl' genre. If Sailor Moon was a Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror Story instead of a children's show. The thing's already giving me migraines and I probably won't sleep well tonight.
  16. Mm. This show shouldn't exist. It's an afront to reality itself. I can't keep from watching.
  17. If I ain't even Fluffy or Zoe, then who am I?
  18. Ok. NO NOT OK THIS IS NOT OK OH GOD WHY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCppu-a0twY
  19. So, guess I found one of the most horrific animes ever made.
  20. ... One of the main characters just had her head bitten off. Yeah this is definitly a genre deconstruction.
  21. Not a mod anymore because of [redacted]. ;) In honesty, I just didn't like the job. Not in my nature to take the necessary actions..
  22. This is such a mindscrew it's not even funny. Doctor Seany, this power must be utilized! It has such potential! I propose we send it to the poast-war R&D department!
  23. Oh god one of them brought a bat This does not bode well this does not bodewell thisdoesnotbodewell... Scared. So scared.
  24. I'm scared now. I'm just... scared. This thing.... Help me, please help me.
  25. Urk, ok this thing is already setting down weird paths. Cutesy, funny, serious, funny, cutesy, paranoia-inducing, frightening, cutesy? I'm not even ten minutes in.
