Two things I didn't see; The Full Metal Panic manga has been awesome and near the end-bits of Sigma really tragic; I'm not sure if the anime is as good, but it may be worth checking out. You should also watch the sequel series to ATLA, The Legend of Korra, if you haven't. It's shorter, a bit more mature, and maybe a bit angsty, but the fight scenes are absolutely gorgeous and there's this one bit of the last episode... SO MANY FEELS Also I really liked Ouran Host Club. I believe it's regarded as the most universally accessible Shoujo series, so I'm probably not the only one. No tragedy though.

Alternate title: Everything Wrong with -Monogatari I remember looking forwards to Nisemonogatari before it came out... But it wasn't even close to the first season. They even sexualize Shinobu, goddammit, not to mention she talks. Shinobu talking is like Samus taking off her armor; it may be a canonical given, but showing it is just plain wrong. I am distraught.

I always thought the porn was an ancillary sort of thing, to get money from the stereotypical anime market. It's actually kind of an interesting idea to fund something that otherwise would be strapped for the cash production can require. Maybe a different incentive would be better, though. I think the anime produers are doing this because without anime stepping in, H-games and visual novels probably won't have a market o_O I'm not saying it's a bad thing for anime to be based off VN's. In fact I find it better as such. Anime is also how I have gotten into light novels for a while. I never knew they existed. Watching Hyouka now. Seems to be a pretty good mystery slice of life anime so far. By the way, am I the only one who prefers JC Staff's works to KyoAni's? Shaft and Gainax FTW
