  1. Give me a good reason why you would do that in 10 seconds, Icu, or there's no way in hell I'm assassinating the leader of China for you.
  2. What, ICU? Also, when was the last budget reset?
  3. I'm in Greenland now, right? Hlaupari patrols are set up around all non-HRE human-friendly coast. All ships (excluding Icelandic and Holy Roman Empire ships) are turned away from Iceland-claimed coast, and firebombed if hostile or refusing to be redirected to the HRE section. Retech, can you give me an estimated cost on Hlaupari carrier ships for patrolling Greenland, as well as the requireed number of Hlaupari? Oh, and the cost of the ships needed to bring the Hlaupari and settlers to Greenland, as well as how many settlers chose to come?
  4. Yeeeeah, well, good luck with that. Sodom is the most potentially dangerous faction in the game.
  5. ... I wouldn't mess with Sodom. They're probably best avoided, if I remember correctly.
  6. {censor} you. Tyrian is awesome, it has a crapload of levels, lots of weapons, 2/3rds of the weapons are upgradable and quite a few have alternate firing modes, it has amazing artistic graphics (yah, I know, not as good as modern realistic graphics, but the artist put work into them and they're quite amazing), and it has the most memorable soundtrack I've ever heard, unfortunately said soundtrack is confined now to youtube and decade-old computers due to incompatability with modern sound systems. It is most certainly not boring.
  7. Sere, I felt the need to take a break for a little while. They can give someone else my plot and my stuff, but I would like to keep my HF somewhere in the village where people will know it's mine.
  8. Cutting edge? The award for pure awesomeness goes to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrqXuQh5LOM
  9. Anything else that isn't barren, I scout/colonize. If you count me as having gone this year with Rocco's expedition. Not sure.
  10. Oh, fudge. The enterprise is out. Not to mention, I didn't send my PM in time... Edit, mayhaps?
  11. Princes? Princesses? Bah, Iceland has no nobles. Excluding the Orrustagud, only generals and elite Hlaupari come close to noble status. We're a capitalist... not sure, would it be despotism? People are relatively free to make their own way, for the sake of bettering Iceland. If you can make a profit, you will. If not, try something else. And all able-minded individuals have potential for a job in the military, even if it's not in combat.
  12. Agreed. And yes, an alliance sounds good.
  13. 6,000,000 for the schools, 300,000 default per year spending, 1,000,000 per year if I want to hire 1,000. I can only hire 1,000 per year, since there are only so many graduates.
  14. Kay then, you still need to choose a class.
  15. They focus on finding out information, then switching arnament as necessary Dusty. They have speed when necessary.
  16. The spending on Hlaupari primarily goes into the military schools, the supplies of which are distributed as necessary. Retech can alter costs as he wishes. Besides, my Hlaupari are legitimately flexible troops, and their new rapid crossbows and firebombs cement their shock troop position. You saw what they did to the Mongols, obviously Retech gave them the expected usefulness.
  17. Too far away. And World's End has plenty of WWWs.
  18. *Ahem* New arsenal additions ICU?
  19. Wiki quote "Shock troops": The units which contain assault troops are typically organized for mobility, with the intention that they will penetrate through enemy defenses and attack into the enemy's vulnerable rear areas. EDIT: Semi-ninja'd
  20. I know. But there's ICU, Iey, Trol, and Edelweiss got extra stuff for some reason... I think we should keep it to the rules for Doom.
  21. Why are we making our own classes?
  22. My 12,000 Hlaupari are withdrawn from Europe, and General Kyrrd is instructed to gather information on Ireland, given 10,000 Hlaupari to use at his jurisdiction. Dissent is spread against the current government, files are created on the nobles and how likely they would be to betray their current government for bribes, and pro-Icelandic propaganda is discreetly spread. The immediate primary objective is to gather information on the estimated defensive force that could be marshalled in case of a direct invasion. @Rocco: Hlaupari function as scouts, spies, assassins, shock troops, and general stealth soldiers. Their primary weapons are used as grappling hooks in addition to beating the crud out of polearm troops and cavalry, and they have a number of recent and useful additions to their arsenals. Your Lochabres probably beat my Hlaupari in terms of pure force, but Hlaupari are highly adept at tactics and strategy. If my Hlaupari managed to punch your formation in the right places and prevent full-force retaliation, or take you by surprise, they would probably do a lot of damage.
  23. STARGATE?! Excuse me?! The Dusavi'daek is a concept of my own. I pride myself with distinct and interesting interconnecting storylines and original names. I pride myself even more with not stuffing the backstories down your throats. And that race fits in perfectly well to that game, they aren't even a futuristic race. At least, not in this iteration.
  24. Also, why does this remind me of the village World's End?
  25. You can tame boars now. =)
