Nexaduro

Varius asks the duty trader if he can make him thermal goggles and/or nightvision goggles. If the thermal goggles are within his financial range, Varius buys them.

Nexaduro temporarily separates the golem from it's bindings to the bar, then has it pick him up and run towards the giant golem. When Nexaduro gets within view, he begins forming giant pointed boulders, and hurling them with sound and wind magic at the distant golem while his golem continues running towards it.

Nexaduro attempts to fix the golem's hand, then cause it to resonate in tune with the sword to prevent damage to it. He then attempts to create a magic trigger field surrounding the area around the door of the bar which would cause the golem to apprehend (not kill) thieves, and (using sound magic) cause it to tell patrons to deposit weapons outside in a large crate Nexaduro creates out of stone near the doorway and enjoy their stay.

Oh. I attempt to create a single, significantly sized stone golem outside the fortess to wait near the road. I create a large, stone, resonance-enchanted (to cut more easily) broadsword for it to use. I give it a variable expression, and attempt to imbue it with speech and intelligence. If I can't make it intelligent, then I simply animate it. I give it a friendly expression if not a variable one.

"... I'm not sure I like that..." Nexaduro attempts to build two humanlike stone golems with halberds, imbue them with sound magic to create a loud siren if anyone apparently hostile approaches, and set them on either side of the gate. Nexaduro also attempts to fashion a cup of stone, then fill it with wine using whatever magic you would need to summon/make wine.

Alas for the Hegemony, I hardly knew ye. I think we should jettison it into space. Then again, wouldn't want to attract amphibious aliens...

Nexaduro walks into the main room. "Hello there. Ares, I presume? Or do I mistake you? Either way, I assume you came here for business of some sort."

Nexaduro creates a small hallway beyond the door behind the bar. Off to either side he creates a door. Beyond the left door he creates a small freezer room with shelves, with an ice cantrip to keep it cool. Beyond the right door, he creates a larger freezer room with the same cantrip and no shelves.

It will be fun. Besides, free accomodations are a good thing. And, it will be a bit difficult to burn. My ultimate plan is to allow those who don't have enough money for the services to pay with a slight, temporary drain on their lifeforce. I can, over a significant time, charge life crystals. I go back to my fortress and create a 1-story room directly inside the gate, with a bar and several more tables and chairs. I try to enchant it with a light and fire cantrip to make it warm and bright enough to be comfortable. The room is midsized, about the size of a regular bar, and has a door behind the bar opening to the rest of the fortress.

First, I try to shift my cloak's bonus from sound to earth magic. The I travel to the nearest road and create a large marker stone stating that the Terrasten Inn will soon be open, and that anyone willing to trade food & beverages or mining work for enchantments, assistance, and/or accomodations should follow the path. I then create a smooth stone road to my fortress.

Kimako, I think that sounds like a good deal. Also, I can probably get a biosuit for myself and maybe Ross. One of my knives still has blood on it hehe =b

Dangit, Retech! You don't just do things like that... I was going to bring it there! I did do the most damage, after all. And was the most prepared. And told you what it was. And didn't I finish it off? Meh.

I pick up my knives, loot the corpses of the patrol (wait to split the loot till tomorrow?), and drag the body back to base, asking what my reward is. I store the body of the bloodsucker in my room, then go to sleep.

Variuss looks into his scope to determine the creature's location. If it is not moving, He walks up and knifes it repeatedy. If it is, he reloads and shoots it with his MP5 again. When it dies, he picks up his throwing knives and asks for Enigma and Kimako's help to drag the creature back to base. He also loots the corpses found earlier and asks the group how to split the loot.

Varius reloads his MP5, then continues unloading clips into the bloodsucker. Enigma presumably shoots with his pistol as well. Also, I didn't go to the ground to climb another tree, I tried to go from tree to tree and branch to branch. If that wasn't possible, based on one of my earlier posts, I thought you would assume I just shoot it.

Just to make sure you notice: How'd it get into the tree...? I start throwing knives at the sounds made by the creature. I keep my two hunting knives in my arm sheaths, and slash the bloodsucker's face if it attacks again.

I continue my barrage, reloading and then emptying my clip at it's head once more. If it is about to kill a teammate, I jump down and slash at it's face with my two hunting knives.

I reaload, then move carefully and quietly to another tree, then scan the area around Enigma and Kimako, as well as the base of the trees near me and the nearby branches. Anything I see, I unload an MP5 clip into (barring, of course, my teammates =P).

You won't see it, Kimako. All you have to judge by is sound. And grenades are the way to go if you want to survive. Don't blow yourself up, though.

If Kimako doesn't post, assume she follows our lead. Bowl a grenade towards it and empty AK-47 clip into it.
