  1. so in a month, either 30 or 31 days, you played 24 hours total. That's less than an hour a day. Pathetic stats. 0/10.
  2. Nachalo Jard, you are a genius and I think that your idea is a fantastic solution.
  3. appreciate it, glad we are on the same page, ha. I plan to enjoy it to 99, and maybe even 200M eventually, we'll see! ;) and you're right, most people aren't worth the trouble; but after a long day at work, in a stressful enviornment (a resturaunt) sometimes comments get to me more than they should -- even though it's just a video game.
  4. Fine, so do it! You obviously didn't even read what I wrote -- I said it was different if you enjoy it, as opposed to just doing it to get a cape because you think it will get you "respect". You do it because you find it "easy to do", yet consider it an accomplishment? Sorry, no, that doesn't make sense. And even comparing doing something constructive and helpful to blowing hours on mindless repetitive tasks in a video game is pretty bizarre. it is easy for myself to complete the task of getting 99, personally. It's easy, but it's still an accomplishment to me, and by easy I mean simple, and not too mentally demanding. Though nothing in RuneScape really is. I apologize for my poor wording in my earlier post. As for the comparison I made, I mean in the same 'sense.' Not calliber of the action. I get a good feeling from training the skill, just as you or I would get a good feeling from helping those less fortunate than ourselves, hopefully that's easier to understand.
  5. everyone has a different definition of what an accomplishment is to a person, and for the record, I do enjoy fletching. You may think it's boring to withdraw items over and over again, but after working 5-6 days a week 8 hours a day, something simple and somewhat relaxing such as fletching is enjoyable to me. I also have ADHD, which makes it hard for me to concentrate on one task for prolonged periods of time, with Fletching and many thongs within the game, I find it easy to do. A 99 is an accomplishment to me, in the same sense volunteering at a homeless shelter is to you. If that makes sense.
  6. I know it doesn't make me a noob, lol. Just gets on my nerves after a while. And there's no reason for it. And thank you for a constructive post. I was surprised I wasn't flamed instantly with "Fletching is noob, gtfo." this is the rants forum after all.
  7. I gotta agree with Saru on this one. And you can't say that you wanted us to look at your stats. Both the topic title and description say nothing about rating your stats. And you don't tell us to rate them in your initial post. You just say you aren't halfway to any 99's and you talk to friends. This topic is pointless. So, as my good friend saru put it. Cool.
  8. I don't understand why having Fletching my soon-to-be first 99 skill makes me a noob for getting an easy 99. It makes no sense. It's still a 99, regardless. And if getting flamed for it wasn't bad enough, I get flamed by people who don't even have a 99. How is that not being an idiot? You can flame me for actually getting one but yet you don't have one, nor are you close. Don't get me wrong, I know Fletching isn't the most respectabale 99, but it's still a 99 one must get if one plans on maxing; what does it matter if it's the first on that road? I just spent 18M on the supplies for ONLY 95-99. I've dumped probably double or even triple the people that flame me's overall net worth. Yet they get the right to complain that I choose to spend my time getting a nice cape and a satisfying 99? I don't think so. Granted, not everyone is this way, but many of them are. I've had enough, thank God Ardougne North bank is peaceful and quiet, not as many flamers... [/rant]
  9. Because even though the GP from monsters can add up to a few hundred thousand after a while, it still doesn't make more than the "high levelled" player can make in less time, doing something other than picking up those stacks of 200 gold.
  10. [M] - Members quest. "A Farewell To Guthix" perhaps? That is if the G stands for Guthix. Or maybe we're all just reading too far into something that might just be nothing.
  11. I played classic for a short time, when it was available but other than that I'm not an original classic player, but I've played for a good 7-8 or so, on and off. I'm down for a chat, if you ever want to. I work a lot, but whenever I'm on, send me a message if you want.
  12. What makes u say tht? perhaps the fact that he goes by the old HP system? What other reasoning would he have to say that?
  13. Xenia is a nice old lady with an arrow in her arm and healing capabilities as well as a person with a need for strane demonic statues. :)
  14. They already are two seperate games. P2P is far more complex and rich in content than F2P. F2P is the RS for dummies version Having said that Jagex should really do more to help new players entering members I had friends to show me the ropes or else I would have been lost and would have quit members Wait wait...you believe RS is complex? Oh sweet jesus. Monkey, you took the words right out of my mouth. RS is not terribly complex. At all...
  15. This was the first quest I have ever done without using a guide. I feel quite good about it, I feel I accomplished something in my RuneScape career now. Jagex did a nice job with this, and honestly, I'm glad it was a F2P quest, especially one for the low levels and/or new players. All of the F2P community should be happy with it, and not whine about not having a higher level dungeons.
  16. Very nice. Getting any 99's in F2P is quite the achievement. 10/10.
  17. Nice. That's something I hope to eventually get, 10/10.
  18. I doubt it's that you're 'a dying breed' per se. I just think that the people playing RuneScape, or at least the majority of them are simply impatient and want what they want, when they want it. They don't want to waste time training a boring skill when they can just buy the items or goods produced directly by it with no hassle in between, it's quite simple. It's just preference in playing style.
