I think they've made a very weak decision actually. If they were really going to take action against the people who host those gambles, then they wouldn't have to change the easter ring and those other items. They are only making gambling harder, instead of dealing with the people who abuse "fun" items. All they had to do is temp-ban all those hosts for a couple weeks. Once the punishment is big enough for people to reconsider gambling, all the items could just be brought back in the original state. Jagex has chosen the easiest solution, they punish everyone instead of finding out who actually should be punished.

You just cant get more EXP and you get a stupid message in your chat that you've reached the cap. You can still use the skill though :)

Does Construction also say 5/80? You can get it up with xp lamps, not sure if it's a bug :3

Regarding the hiscores, I think the total level without the P2P levels should be used in the future. If someone decides to keep those P2P skills at level 1, it shouldn't have concequences on the person's rank. It's not hard in any way to obtain those level 5's, so I think it's more a player's choice to get them.

I hope you can't use Gilded Altar in F2P. That would make Prayer so easy while it's one of the hardest skills now (obtaining the money atleast). Jagex already made Runecrafting easy with Runespan and look at the amount of players who got 99 RC with it. It used to require alot of effort and I used to be really proud on my level, but now it's just not special anymore. Making Prayer simple too would just decrease the value of maxing it.

In my opinion, if someone wants to cheat to get on the pure F2P hiscore list, I just hope they're happy with their rank based on lies. It has always been hard to tell if someone has been Member or not. Even if the person has all P2P skills at level 1, there is still a chance that player has been P2P. Level 1 or level 5 doesn't make much of a difference. Howmany P2P players do you know with high F2P skills but all P2P skills under level 5? If someone has been P2P on purpose they probably have trained at least one skill above level 5, because otherwise they're simply too noob to get high enough skills for our list anyway. :P

EOC just made PvP worse than it was. Pre-EOC there was a reason to team up -> it increased your chances on kills. With the EOC, pretty much every PKer has single-mode toggled on so there is no point to team up. It isn't just EOC that killed PvP, it's the people and money as well. I remember PvP worlds being crowded because there were few of them and it was enjoyable. Many players were there, because there was still alot to win and to lose. Most people were poor and winning some rune items felt awesome. The people who PKed for money went to the Duel Arena and started staking their cashpiles and rares or just went skilling/bossing, because those ways turned out to be much more efficient. Most people remember the EP-thing as "bad", but atleast you had the chance to win a Corrupt drop/statue which felt totally awesome. Now you can't really win more than 300K. RuneScape has simply become a skilling-game. In the old days, people wanted money to raise some skills or to buy armour to PK with. Nowadays people just make money to be able to make more money and get 200M XP in skills. However, the biggest problem is the lack of new players. The low leveled players I see usually have main accounts, are bots, or old players who only returned for a few minites. The new players don't know PKing and choose the safest way to make money. The EOC is still very rough, but Jagex announced that they were busy with some PK and warring updates. I think it's better to wait and see what they will do.

I'm surprised people bind "real" ammo, I still got Cosmics bound for the gatestones. And didn't the blastbox dissapear after the EOC update? I haven't found one since. :unsure: Besides, I have the feeling Ranged is very underpowered compared with Magic and Melee.

I hope atleast one of them is F2P and a little bit more complex than nowadays skills. I hope for an engineering or astronomy theme :)

Currently online: 10700 F2P players and 66000 P2P players.

They should rather make the game more attractive for F2P players instead of taking worlds away because the population shrinks. If I'd start playing now and have to fight with 30 bots in each world for a log or ore, I'd be gone within an hour.
