The End of the Beginning
Kyla smiled warmly at Akari. "There is no need to worry. The Overseer no longer thinks you exist. Once the eyes of your soul have been opened, your being becomes immune to all forms of tracking." Noticing the shock in the young girl's eyes, Kyla smile only strengthened. "Yes, young one. You are safe now. As for the information you seek about me, it will reveal itself to you in its own time." Standing up, she walked over to one of the paintings with a dragon nestled on the ledge of a waterfall. From the golden frame of the picture, her hands pulled ribbon-like strands of gold from the frame, which showed no sign of disipating, and formed two small cups. Putting the tips of the cups to the waterfall's edge, the painted dragon's eyes started to glow a cyan blue to match its scales. Water then proceeded to pour from the painting into the cups. "Fancy a drink?" Kyla asked, watching Akari's reaction with a grin on her face.

The End of the Beginning
Kyla's eyebrow raises in obvious curiosity. "Plans? Would you care to elaborate, young one?" Freeing an arm she offers it to help the girl up. "I must also apologise. I didn't get your name." Making her way to her chair Kyla motions for the girl to have a seat before sitting down herself. The three chairs set in a semi-circle around the hearth were made of a smooth wood, difficult to see which kind in the soft glow of a dying fire. Kyla waved her hand at the hearth gently, newborn flames flickering to life. The lightened room revealed enormous paintings spanning the walls on each side. They seemed to show humans and dragons living in harmony. The idealistic artwork was framed in a dim gold which had lost its luster over the years. "Come, child. We have much to discuss."

The End of the Beginning
(lol, I'm not arguing with you. You're one of the people who are actually trying to RP, though it does seem like you are putting a game twist to your posts)
-
The End of the Beginning
(Earth, this is free form. Nex. you can post a 5 word reply in-character and still form a decently sized paragraph.)
-
The End of the Beginning
On another note, two/three line posts will NOT be tolerated when in-character. If you are going to RPing, put some effort into it. This is coming from both Vixion and myself. We are tired of those not taking this at least partially serious ruining distracting those of us who are actually trying to RP. Vixion: Honestly, it isn't needed if it doesn't have substance.

The End of the Beginning
Smiling at the young girl, Kyla rose to her feet, dragonling snuggled to her chest the way a mother would hold a son or daughter. "It is okay, child. Do not despair. Only the sight of an infant dragonling will reveal the true monsters of the world." Kyla walked over to the girl, lifting the teen's chin to gaze into her eyes and show that there was no cruel intent within them. "It is natural to feel saddened at what the human race has done to that which they don't understand. Dragons, a rather peaceful race, never meant any harm to us. The fear of the unknown lead the king into an irrational extermination crusade. The poor creatures did not even fight back. They tried to be peaceful, to show they meant no harm. The ignorance of man!" Kyla's eyes flared with hatred and rage, her body was surrounded with a crimson glow. "By the time they decided pacifism wouldn't work it was too late. There weren't enough dragons left to fight the Overseer's personal forces."

The End of the Beginning
(6. Kyla is a SECOND character I made, so Nighleena has nothing to do with the dragonling 7. Only actual characters are in the clearing now) If anyone loses track of whats going on ask me as I read every post (I'm quite pleased with some of the creativity being used too ^-^)

The End of the Beginning
(I'm introducing a new character I will be using. Remember it's an RP in an odd time setting.) IMPORTANT: This is NOT to be considered a "game".

The End of the Beginning
(Back on track) The baby dragonling purred with affection as his mistress stroked his back with her silken touch. Little streams of smoke flowed from his nostrils in a deep satisfaction as he stretched out his spine to maximise the sensation. The dragonling's silk-like skin was a luscious, rosebud red, its eyes a gleaming gold aura of wonder. It would be years yet before the dragonling grew to shed his satin coat for the scaley armor he would bare as an adult. The woman caressing the exquisite creature was glorious in her own way as well. Hair falling down over shoulders like an elegant blanket of shadow, the gloss of the black strands eminated the volume of her hair in the dim-lit room. Her eyes, a furious blue, dwelled on the dragonling in irony. Kyla picked up the infant of the species she used to hunt down and eliminate. Her eyes welled with tears to those blind years of misunderstanding, to those years where she would do what she was ordered without question or doubt.

The End of the Beginning
Eyes closed and in deep thought, Nighleena dug into her mind, trying to decide to finish off her mark and collect the bounty, or wait a little while longer. She heard the commotion going on in the distance and decided it wasn't worth worrying about at the moment. Nighleena concluded that she needed more information in order to proceed. Standing back up she concealed the marbel in her pouch once more. The doubts that have been consuming her mind have sent it reeling into a spiral of confusion, eating away at her judgement. 'There is no possible explanation for this' she thought to her self, face set in anger. Unlatching her Kusari-gama from her belt she headed north, back towards the city, and back to the royal palace. Nighleena had some recon to do in the Overseer's garden.

The End of the Beginning
(Earth I wasn't directing my statement towards you. Nex, if that happens, Vixion and I will request the thread be locked, as the rules are being bent. This is a final warning. I apologize to those who actually know how to RP.)

Dungeoneering
Hrm, so for someone like me, with the option of two magicks and nothing else, I can't exactly fight him without magick...ooo that gives me an idea /grin

The End of the Beginning
(Vixion, it's freeform. They don't have to wait for us. Just they can't involve us in anything without us being here. On another note, the number of people surviving "impossible to escape attacks" needs to stop. As well as the "impossible to escape attacks" themselves.)

The End of the Beginning
(As my ability to post during the afternoon is hindered I won't be able to post much, though I'll try to post if I'm on when a number of others are. Weekends I'll be able to with ease though.)

The End of the Beginning
Stretching her limbs after clinging to a few branches for an hour, Nighleena sets herself down on the ground gently, then pulling the dim marble out of her pouch, she flicks her wrist in a circular motion and the small globe shimmers to life, shining a bright white. Now all that had to be done was wait for Earth to notice the glow flowing from the marbel Nighleena had given him.
