Hmm. my Tairn is just going to use black magick to charm everyone with an accuracy incantation, and advise if we go to the burrow that the geomancers cover the entrance AND the cave with us between so if its just a lava vent, we wont get burned.

I'm going to intervene here. As I had mentioned on the previous page, this is a medieval setting. I created the whole Vixion got bumped in the head as both an excuse for those references as well as to end any other present day references which may arise. Mather, Hex, read over the rules, and the outline. Give your posts some substance as well. To just shoot a squirrel as your post isn't RPing. If you're going to fight another character, you need reason. This isn't a 'game' It's a story in which everyone is involved. Keep up the nonsense any further posts you make will be disregarded.

Anything below 23 is spot on perfect for an RP, below 17 is the novel type character requirement. So Ross, having a 14 is fine. And yeah things that trigger those bumps in the score are fine if you're in the safe range afterward. Means your character was well thought out :) . For RPing skip parts 2&3 btw. EDIT: Here's the part where I kick myself in the butt for not making one of my characters non revolving around Vixion's characters...-_-

(Nah, Ryu has a higher score than a 20 for sure. Nighleena's a bit ruthless if you've been reading how her attitude works. I've known what a Kusari-gama was since before I played the game. Game just made me want to throw it into Nighleena's arsenal...oh, it was Maj'la'Tairn who had just under 20....tested Kyla, got a 9. lol) EDIT: and Nighleena's an 8...lol

(Having mary sue tendencies (score of 16-25ish which i think is two ranked groups) is perfectly fine. Just try to stay below 30 lol. The 15- is more required for novel characters. I mean, Kyla has an infant dragonling AND is bonded to Heartflux (another dragon), yet her score was still under 20 i think. Nighleena's was really low O_o )

Yeah, Balthier and Fran as a combo was probably my favorite pairing. Since all the characters seemed to be paired together (Vaan+Penelo, Ashe+Basch, Balthier+Fran). My main party is Fran (81) Balthier (76) Ashe (74). Then secondary is Basch (66) Penelo (62) Vaan (53). Sometimes if fights were going easy I'd replace Vaan with Fran to get the other 2 levels with Fran tanking. So thats why There are 2 level gaps in my parties. (Main Party level gap isn't as bad as Vaan's lol.) I do llove the show Vaan puts on with his quickenings though :)

(The drunk man and the talking baby dragon, oh the possibilities xD. Oh and Nex, with the whole mixed time...well I personally don't reference it, neither does anyone else. Vixion's the only one using those references, so we'll just pretend he hit his head really hard and had a temporary magick power that created those futuristic things inside his mind, and they conjured up into his house ^-^. Hope that sets your side story back on track :) )

Interesting guide, heh. I might try that when after I get my main party to 99. That way I still spent some time personally training one party. The guide didnt tell me how to solve that annoying puzzle though. It's probably something small I'm missing, lol.

In a raspy growl Nighleena shrieked at Vixiin, grabbing the Emberweed from him. "Kill that damned mutt before the paralysis wears off! It will only last for a few more seconds on someone of his magickal prowess!" Wrapping the Emberweed around one of her daggers which she was able to reach, given the couch no longer blocked her blades from being drawn, Nighleena stabbed the wrapped dagger into her ankle. A blood curtling scream escaped her lips, but the bones mended around the blade. Slowly, she pulled it out, fighting off the urge to fall over and faint. The remaining bone healed as the blade slid out of her ankle, followed by the wound closing itself altogether as if nothing had ever been harmed there. Cinders fell from the blade, the Emberweed was no more. Nighleena's conscious slipped into a deep slumber, the marbel rolling out into the middle of the floor.

Her position on the couch made a majority of her weapons impossible to draw out in defense. Pressing against the couch Nighleena counted the impressions she felt on her hip. 'Seven left,' she thought to herself. Not having much of an option she rolled off the couch, sending two kunai coated with a paralysing ointment straight at Tuck. Fresh pain bolted up her leg causing her to shriek once more. Not checking to see if the dog had been hit Nighleena whipped out the little black marbel. Going through the motions she activated it and the white glow inside swirled to life. "I need help, NOW!! I'll activate the tracking mechanic!" (Funny thing Earth happens to be incapacitated, since he has the other marbel. lol)

(After the Emberweed I'm gonna try to lead the story so Vix and Nigh are with others again.) If the dog was expecting shock on her face he didn't get it. Instead Nighleena recognized the dog immediately. "What are you doing here? More recon for your brother?" The sharp edge in her voice cut the air in harsh whispers. Slowly and unnoticed she loosened a pouch on her belt by acting to fidget to get comfortable. The glint in Nighleena's eyes was cautious as she watched the dog, calculating how she would fight in her crippled state...if it came to that. Muttering under her breath, "What the hell is a cell phone?" The confused expression nothing but a show yo throw off the dog.

(Its awkward, I know. but some people will feel like you controlled their character by something as small as you did. I just don't want another argument to break out. I personally don't mind it, just playing safe till I get a read on how everyone RPs.)

Earth was the one rushing into the arrow. He could have chosen to not get hit as Tech slightly bent the mentioned rule, but Earth chose to take it like a man xD

Knowing she'd been found out Nighleena sat up, careful not to strain her ankle. "I don't know what you're talking about, but if you really want to care for me, make yourself useful and fetch some Emberweed for me. If you don't know where to get it, hopefully you know how to find the foot of the volcano a few miles off. It should be at the base of the mountain side. Wear gloves, you'll need them." The orders were spiteful but desperate. Her eyes gleamed with a reserved hostility, angry, but hesitant.

(In regard to the time period, no one knows exactly, worlds have collided, etc..anyway, Nex, if your story involved a very specific time period, well idk how to respond to that. As it seems your characters have the power to altar the future, that's still allowed, you can create a mess for everyone else to clean up. ^-^ As for the Mary Sue quiz, thats the exact one I use. :) )

Yeah, I rather despise mary sues. Took an online quiz for some of my previous RP characters.. None were mary sues except for one lol. A few had mary sue tendencies, but wasn't a serious issue if being used as RP characters. Lately my characters have been "You have room to spice up the character with extra w/e" Cuz i was getting really low scores (lower=non mary sue), so trying to make Kyla my 'spiced up' character. lol. My opinion on anything that exists, if its not the "Big Bad Guy" and is near invincible its not worth involving into the story. Grim, I like what you have going with the runes (etched on stone?)

Well, I'm just using elemental magick as the stepping stone to learn greater magicks (aka the average sorcerer must master elements to move on). As this is freeform you don't have to go through that process. So if you want to use a rune (stone?) magick thats up to you to decide its power. But nothing is capable of being immune to some sort of weakness. So that if you choose to be evil, you can't just slaughter the good RP'ers. But it's your choice for how 'powerful' it is.

Well, as for the Mary Sue-like tendency of the dragons, I'll go into more detail. Most dragons that hold any real power are pretty much extinct, save for a mere handful (5-7). Most dragons that are encountered live like a tribe. No real magickal powers, maybe a minor perk here and there, but even a single soldier can kill one with normal weapons. They're small compared to dragons in other stories. If its bred for a rider it can only support one human's weight. Even the dragons that are bred don't have much in the terms of power. On another note, element magicks are considered a lesser magick in this RP (I should've stated that in my outline lol).

It will stay as a RP, but if I feel something is unfair to another person, then I'll ask that your post be editted. EDIT: As for the dragons...they aren't all good or bad(You met ferals in that cave for instance). I just prefer a certain defining feature determines its species and capability. Color is usually the best option in a multi-way RP.

And finally the biggest thing to discuss, Shall we keep this as a RP or into a more game-like structure?
