And while you're at it, say a word or make any sudden movements around the mods for mutes and bans!

I predict that if bbc responds to your post, it will involve you being flamed for a few spelling errors/typos rather than a counterpoint to your argument.

SS is allowed to be used, as it does not embed or interact with the actual gaming screen, which is left intact, and the only possible interaction that exists is the scroll up feature on F2P which hides the advertisement, which still means nothing, considering Jagex still gets payed the same for that advertisement. if ss still blocks advertisments thats probably the main reason ss is blocked.. what a stupid point you made... It doesn't. Quit making assumptions based off a two-year-old obsolete version of SS you used for two weeks. thats what he told me, why dont you tell me about this illegal program so i know more about it? Why don't you just quit using assumptions to support your argument? Where did he tell you that it blocks advertisements?

I don't think they can detect SS users. Though if they can I guess it's the same way they monitor autoers.

Andrew stated that AIM and MSN aren't illegal. Yet, they give no ingame advantages or warnings and they are still allowed.

ok??? and that stops it from being 3rd party how??????? use it and get banned, and i NEVER said owened, show me where i said it? The fact is before today 3rd party clients were allowed, and the people weren't "rulebreakers." And according to the quote (though the code is wrong and the quotes are incorrect) you said "owened." not all 3rd partys were allowed they made it more clearer now, We have updated Rule 7 and Rule 9 to clarify some long standing grey areas, and to cover some recent threats. Please take the time to re-read both rules and make sure you fully understand them. if they use it again they will be rule breakers and im pretty sure on ss you cant see the front page. i did use ss about two years ago... uninstalled it two weeks after, i just felt like in any update he could put a virus or two in it, people getting hacked all the time because they download the program from a different site, this is why its illegal now, people get hacked easily, how are you supposed to tell which site is the real one, they obviously know that a friend on rs will tell you the real site, and your breaking another rule now, advertising website. this is why it has to be illegal, EVEN IF IT IS SAFE, people can download it from the wrong site, because there is no official site since its a 3rd party program, its illegal anyway now Zybez/Runescape Community is the official site. The creator of SS acknowledging it as the official site is enough proof that it is official.

For some reason I imagine the clan chat thing will have each channel moderated by an overprotective profanity filter and J-mods.

People aren't losing their accounts over SS, they're losing their accounts to scammers in the IRC channels, which is the idiotic players' fault. Not Jagex's, not SS's, but the players'. Yet Jagex being the kind hearted fellow that they are have tried to do something to stop these "idiotic player's" from losing their accounts trying to make the game pleasenter and get less emails to their customer support about hacked accounts, yet they get little of the respect they deserve Jagex does enough to try to stop the idiots who get scammed. Stronghold of Security, weekly in-game message, news reminders, etc. They don't deserve respect for choosing to anger hundreds of thousands of players over a few ignorant cry-babies.

I don't think hundreds of thousands of players decided to register for RS today and download SS and use it when it is illegal now.

It's not the convenient world-switching interface that makes SS so popular. It's the convenient statistics look-up, automatic cropped screenshots, screenshot uploader, calculators, links to safe help sites, etc.

Yeah, two days into the year they piss off hundreds of thousands of players. High five! wrong. two days into the year they piss off hundreds of thousands of rule breakers. High five! You said yourself that the point of the rule was to prevent macro'ers and people from getting keylogged or having an unfair advantage. Hundreds of thousands of players use SS legitimately and don't use its chat feature to deceive others. SS doesn't give an unfair advantage either.

jagex lied about the winter trees or theres a typo...
Your tree exists all year round once you obtain it - you misinterpreted what they meant

This is bull. To the people claiming SS gives an unfair advantage, it doesn't. It doesn't make world switching any faster - if you manage to reach a world you still have to go through the "you have only just left another world..." message. Plus, getting into world 2 is a pain in the [wagon] on SS, I use the notepad code to get in instead. I'm not gonna use their crappy RS client until they improve it. Ban me just like the other dozens of thousands of people who use SS.
