Most people on here realize that. But it is also another sort of thing that happens is people discuss setting records, which only require max attention in short bursts. And we like to talk about max possible xp/h just for entertainment while we wait for langer's awesome weekly updates. Gives us something to do, and keeps this thread on the front page ;) For most long term calculations, I think the general numbers are more like 60k/h rc, 65k/h agility, or stuff like that which is below the theoretical max. What would the smartest way for con be? Oak dungeon doors, Mahog Tables? Something else entirely? Demonic thrones :twisted:? (costs like 4bil, but only takes like a day I think, lol) @Arcane, I think the thing with zombie implings is you might possibly spend more time looting the jars then you would turning in the bones. So looting time included (and it should be) it slows down the xp rate by a bunch and still costs quite a bit. @ Zombie Impling Jars "500 Zombie Impling Jars cost - 5.85m Average per 500 is 14 Long bones and 18 Curved bones - 68k construction XP + 50k gp Trade price of normal bones looted - 3.8m Loss for 500 Jars - 2.1m" "I don't think this is as fast as it appears. I don't think you take into account the time it takes to empty the jars. It looks like you empty 1 inv of jars per 10 seconds, and with 22 jars per inv it would take 3.8 mins to empty 500 jars. Running the bones from the bank to Barlak takes around 1.5 mins per 28 bones. However since you average 32 bones per 500 jars, it would take 1.7 mins going at the same rate. That brings the total time to 5.5 mins per 68k xp, which is equivalent to 742k xp/h" Both quotes taken from this They are impractical and slower unless you plan to break record, in which case they are great because you can bank them and get 3m/h running the bones. @ Mahogany Tables "The fastest possible experience per hour is probably around 900k. The most I have done is 849k, and typically I got 700-800k. A friend of mine has gotten over 860k experience in one hour." That was taken directly from Zarfot's construction video. He later came out with a second one where he used mouse keys and he said that was faster, he didn't say by how much, just that it was faster. So if you can average 750k with the mouse and probably 775k-800k with mouse keys it is probably safe to assume that 750k is a good number to use for all estimates. @ The debate about the xp/h rates. The number of hours left for all of the top players are not actuate at all. But that is not the point. They are not trying to actually show you how many hours left each player has to 200m all skills. They are more a system of ranking how close each player is to 200m all skills by taking in to account both total xp and what skills that xp is in. As for why we use the optimal rates for all of our calculations. They are valuable information to know, much more so than the average humanly xp/h rate. When you know the optimal rate you do planning for records if that is what you plan to do. If you are just planning on going for a 200m you are still going to want to the know the optimal method so that you can as close as possible give that you are in fact human. It is easy to extrapolate down from an optimal xp rate by multiplying by .85 or .9 to get a more reasonable human pace, but you can't do that with an average rate because you don't know much faster is optimal. Optimal xp rates are used to provide information and that is all. They are not a suggestion of what everyone should be doing, but merely a suggestion of what they could possibly do and a number to project down from. @ Paperbag's hatred of slayer. If you hate slayer and would rather just camp the same monster, and that you seem to be quite good at merchanting seeing that you have a lot of buyables done, you should cannon cave crawlers for all of cmb. It will result in 200m melee, hp, range, slayer, rc, and summoning; plus a huge amount of xp in the effigy investigating skills all in about 7000 hours. I found this to be the second most efficient method, second to doing slayer with effigies on slayer, then camping cave crawlers. However, Thai Tong found it to actually by much faster than doing any slayer at all. If this is true all of the people saying that slayer is efficient would actually be wrong. It would seem that actually not doing any slayer or RC is the most efficient method to 200m all skills. Goodfight EffigyScape. Edit: Personally I think I would shoot myself if I sat at cave crawlers for 7k hours, I think I would need slayer to break up the monotony, but who knows it may be your thing.[/hide] Banking in Castle Wars and using Dorgesh-Kaan telespheres might possibly be a faster method of handing them in than running back and forth to the Dorg bank. I personally used this for banking for energy pots back in the old Dorg Agility days. yeah check that out ^ As well if its not faster for some reason xensure can you do the calcs for the laps being 10 seconds faster then shown in that vid he did a decent amoutn of pausing and excessively slow clicking I think 10 seconds faster would be a reasonable normal lap from what was shown on there

If anything id guess to hurry up and finish dungeoneering as everyday it dies a little bit more in someway shape or form so sooner he finishes it the better xp/h hes getting/ less time spent dg ing if he does now instead of later basically id guess

Well, not people who gained the majority of their money by being gen rank in a 'merch' clan atleast, it seems! :P @Aribiter: Ari, do you have a main or something? Because if not, I don't really think you should be scolding other players about how much exp/h a certain skill method is, unless we're talking about dung or rc (judging on your stats on Aribiterspar). People like to make up numbers, so please test for yourself first instead of using hear-say as an argument. @Paperbag: Right on, mate :) As for spreadsheet...updates will mess it up, trust me lol. All of them have been against me so far (To answer Andmartel, my 200m skills have been devalued alot since I got them). +, I'm sure arcane also applied the superheating method on me while I would be missing out on the mage exp for example, hence low position. Nor is it meaningful to talk about farming on an xp/hr basis without considering you can only grow so many things per day. But, please get 200mil in everything but farming then show us how its done like on the spreadsheet. the xp/h sheet has some errors says cooking is 925k/h with rocktail;s? lol wines are about 720k/h and pie baking about 460k if jugs of water are still bought out mining 80k not 70k herblore 730k not 690k agility 72k not 85k although im not sure about the B.A horn calcs so if some1 can clarify ? *pssst xensure* hunter 250k not 140k dungeoneering not quite sure but doubt its 325k hunter is 300k and fishing is like 85k Also, for Summoning, Drumgun was doing 1.1m Xp/hr off crimsons. 1.2 is probably possible. hunter 250k ish after including time to do all the other crap you have to do but yeah when you actually train it it'll be closer to 300k.

Agility is 70k/hr. Farming is like 500k/day with 0 life, unlimited gp, and a passion for vinesweeper. Your not even close try again lol. Construction with long bones to 200mil isn't happening try 500k-600k with mahogany tables. Hunter is 220k with dragon jadinkos. Dungeoneering isnt 320k/hr, but what it is very subjective an anything over 225k is highly questionable. Slayer 40k/hr doubtful, 30k if you cannon and use lunar contact to move about quickly, never pick up a drop, and have lackies bring you supplies on a regular basis. That being said dapledo is front runner for the 0 life 200mil everything award. Grats. Jagex should employ you as the mascot for runescape. [No need for namecalling is there? Atleast 1 person who understands! Thanks, lol. Langers only applicable point to me being inefficient would be the way to make money. A few years ago, people weren't all that open about their merchanting tips. I was still unknown, and only had friends in the Castle Wars circuit. There were 1 or 2 merchers in there, but they didn't want to share their 'secret' to make good money. Now unlike me, other 'top skillers' that you see today were all relatively famous at the time already. For example, I bet you all my money that Lan, Aasiwat, Kingduffy etc etc were 1 of the first people to know that waterfiends were the fastest way to gain charms (or rock lobs). They had resources (connections) already (same goes for Zarfot who is famous mainly via youtube). I had to build something up, all on my own, yet I made it purely on effort and determination. It was the most efficient way to gain money at the time considering circumstances. Oh, and as for merching now, the margins have gotten way too small for it to be a serious way to gain 20b geepees. I'm not arrogant, but I'm very much a 'give credit where credit is due' kind of person, and I do seek adequate appericiation for my efforts, as motivation to keep going. I know there are fanboys of other top players out there who like to the competition for their favourite player, but it would be nice if atleast the objective people (of whom I thought would be on this thread) would consider things correctly instead of calling me inefficient. You should be calling me unlucky instead. Lrc came out while I was nearly 200m magic already. No one did the superheating method before that, because back then, training on granite and smithing addy/rune plates was the most efficient way to train those skills. What was I to do? give up all my plannings and goals while I was close to 200m magic already, just because of an update? Please. The only tiny thing that you could call me inefficient for is that I train wc on ivy's instead of teaks. Then again, so does Aasiwat, yet he gets called an efficient player earlier in the thread. Not saying that he isn't, just don't go labelling me as an inefficient player either then. In my eyes, people who call me inefficient are either trolling fanboys/jealous people or have no idea what they're talking about. @Pere: Yes, did about 500m combat exp on abby demons. Did the remainder on armoured zombies, because I had gained enough money to complete my goal. :) @Arbiter: A few years ago, absolutely no one had 200m in all skills as a goal. The only reason why a few consider now is because Rs has gotten so f'ing easy that it's actually viable for them to do. You think these people planned it all out ages ago? Hahaha. What most people are doing now is basically giving credit to the people who couldn't be bothered a few years ago - that's why they haven't trained some skills like slayer to 200m yet and have them still 'open'. If I had the chance to, of course I would consider my options and would have probably done things differently. Infact, I would also be interested in 200m all skills in that case. But I had a goal, a big one, and I took it on. That does not make me ineffecient - that makes me 1 of the best players (if not best), training almost inch perfect for over a year, 18+ hours a day. Just been really unlucky with updates ontop of that - which has now degraded to a very good, but not extraordinary level, also making some of my choises seem like stupid ones. Can't predict updates though, and no, few would have expected for combat to get the majority of Jagex's attention, since there are alot of less bearable skills on Rs that desperately need attention. But hey guess what Jagex did, they gave us effigies in attempt to fix that problem. But how do you gain effigies? BY TRAINING COMBAT. @Xen: I'm satisfied with my 53m ranged week record, so won't be beating that :P + I promised my gf I'd mix things up a bit and do a few things with her, since I don't need the entire month (full 31 days) to get the month ranged record/200m xp since I started from 51m. lol wat where did I say that they had it all planned out ages ago..etc All i was saying was the basic definition of the word efficiency pertaining to 200m xp all stats is doing the current methods available in the order to which it would achieve the goal in the least amount of time, wether or not somebody cares about efficiency or w/e is up to them i was just givin the definition lol of what it is dont get mad at websters dictionary cause it has a word you dont like.

I really hate people like this lol. Hes 2.3b xp therefore hes almost 1/2 way to 5b ffs not everyskill is the same xp/h, I dont have anything against jdela infact hes quite nice ive talked to em a few times in Zarfots cc but there are people with less xp than him atm who are far closer to 5b xp time wise also most the top players havent been playing at all or playing seriously at all for that whole 10 years just as an example to clarify what i mean, I ade my account in 04 and got like 70m total xp till june of 2010 then doubled my xp with just rc in the next 6 months because i started taking the game seriously and actually playing for xp, lots of people spend their beggining time not really doing anything I know a couple people between 1 to 2.4b xp who have only had their account for like 5 years
