  1. You only get your name permanently reserved once anyways. Well, unless you maxed, got name #1 saved, then became a pmod and got name #2 saved. Unless the saving of the second one made the first get removed, idk. :P
  2. Some noob reported his previous name lol
  3. Most top players are top players because they don't waste that much time slacking off lol. Odin was pretty fast with ZMI, averaging atleast 55k Xp/hr. From before 50m Xp or so, however, he did do a lot of abyss. Your calcs may roughly be close to reality, but only because he did a lot slower method in his earlier times. Also, 69k is only the current theoretical max rate, not the rate back when he trained it. I fully expect Suomi to be the first and to hold it for several years before anyone else gets it. The only thing to make that not happen would be for Suomi to quit, but he's still motivated so that's not likely to happen any time soon. He's working on Woodcutting and making money atm. Besides skilling, all I know is that I remember he used to do some daily RS "chores" right before bed. I'm not sure specifically what they are though or if he still does them. I believe he still manages his kingdom. Nothing of the other things you mentioned as far as I know of. Drumgun's really the minigame [bleep], tbh. He's spent enough time in Castle Wars in the past to completely max all 99s over again and he also has done a lot of Soul Wars in recent times.
  4. They're used to bypass the 50% Xp penalty
  5. Lvl 3 skillers are most often used with a pure F2p'er. 4 lvl 3's + 126 = fast f2p dg xp/hr
  6. Real merching is not manipulating prices. Suomi makes more money from donations than you think and doing your stated method would still incur risks. Idr mentioning anything about bug abuse either. He refuses to merch because there are risks involved and his donation method has similar profits, if only over a longer period of time. If other people want to do a more meaningful donation, donate him an actively rising partyhat for GE price.
  7. Largest thread with actual content* Atm he's wcing teaks w/ alching and working on dg, after magic is 200m I suppose he'll still continue both back and forth. Dungeoneering should max out first, then wcing, then possibly fming, but if not, hunter next.
  8. Out of curiosity, is this the largest thread on the Tip It forums? Almost 116 pages :P
  9. I write kinda weird when I'm tired, but I don't really see Serpenttine as a big threat, because he doesn't seem to put in the same amount of time compared to other players. he puts in the time and is good but i dont see him training random skills all the way to 200m :P he does whatever he wants :) He does put that time into it, he just started way later as most top players of nowaday did. Don't forget that Serpenttine only has 12.770.932 xp and a totallvl 1471 of at 24 april 2008 So all he achieved allready he did from a normal player to what he is today in only a tiny bit over 2.5 years! I won't say he's my doomed favorite for rank one any time soon, but from all the 1B- xpers of this moment I do think he will become the rank 1 in 2 years yes (altho some 2B+ persons of this moment will probably still be ahead of him in 2 years). I'm curious about the xp future of this underdog ;). Serp has no real post-max stats other than dg and a lil fishing lol. Paperbag's broke atm lol Figures, he is running out of buyables. Rofl. He can only buy range, mage, and smithing now. And I suppose the seeds for 200m farming and the seconds for 200m summoning. By broke, I mean he only has like 20-30m. Doing Frost Dragons now.
  10. Paperbag's broke atm lol
  11. Actually no. Suomi Ohi = Skiller 703(Jamie). He's from the UK and his name is only a reference to S U O M I. We're all good friends. :P Also, in the screenshot above this post, that's me on the right underneath the <3333333's. :)
  12. [/hide] I was just wondering in terms of efficiency and getting all 200mil's, when going for 200mil fishing xp would it be better to go heavy rod fishing all the way, or stop at around 182Mil and leave the rest to be done while doing dungeoneering/effigies. If you stop at 182mil and get the rest from effigies/dung, you wont have to waste time on actually fishing but you do lose out on some agility and str xp. If you heavy rod fishing from 182mil fishing xp to 200mil you and earn on average 71k fishing xp an hour you'll spend 254 hours on fishing but you'll recieve 1.6mil worth of agility and strength xp which will save you 23 hours of agility if you can average 72k agility xp per hour at adv barb course and 20 hours of strength xp assuming you average 80k str xp at cave crawlers meaning that that 172mil-200mil fishing xp by heavy rod fishing will save 51 hours of time whereas using effigies on fishing will save 254 hours of time. Anyway i was just curious since i'm going for 200mil fishing xp myself. Doing it by heavy rod fishing all the way since i'm not interested in getting 200mil xp in all stats, or not yet, maybe i'll change my mind about it later on whether i should stop at 172mil fishing xp or not =P Editted Btw, i wrote 172mil instead of 182mil lol, so re calc'd too. Actually, Fishing is around 80k-100k Xp/hr if done properly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M0x8J4Txf4 Description: [hide][[ Credit for this method goes to Jebrim (the1jebrim channel). ]] This is getting a fish once every 3 ticks. Normal fishing is getting a fish once every 5 ticks. This seems like the best method and a flawless hour at 99 fishing is over 80k fishing xp (I am fishing at around 84k xp/hr in the vid even though I had two interruptions, wasn't using a lobster, and I'm only 96 fishing). You also get 10k+ cook xp per hour since you are constantly cutting a fish. Once you get the hang of the method, the only thing stopping your rhythm will be 2 things: 1. Trout sometimes don't give roe, so occasionally you won't have anything to eat. This happens in my vid at 11 seconds. 2. Sometimes you won't get a fish, even at 99 fishing with a lobster (this happens at 23 seconds). Mousekeys isn't required either I've never used them for this method, in fact they seem to make things harder An example: 0.0 seconds : You eat the roe/caviar and a fish appears (now use knife on fish and re click spot) 0.6 seconds: You begin fishing and another roe/caviar appears in invent (now wait for 1.2 seconds, hover mouse over "eat") 1.8 seconds: You eat the roe/caviar and a fish appears Theoretically this could be 100k xp/hr or more. You get a chance to catch a fish every 3 ticks, so that's around 1975 chances per hour including tick lag/server lag. If you caught a fish every chance (and averaging at 60 xp per fish: 50 for trout, 70 for salmon, 80 for sturgeon, you catch trout most frequently) that's 118k xp/hr. But you won't catch a fish every chance obviously, and sometimes you will have to catch a fish after 5 ticks because you won't have roe to eat. Even so I don't think 100k/hr would be too hard.[/hide]
  13. The other top agilitizers should totally change their names to Jebrim. no thanks Hai Revan <3
  14. Finishing up 300m atm. After I hit 300m, I'll be going to train at Skullball. 1bil xp is only the more well known, overall goal. I'm actually aiming to do atleast 1k hours at every course in the game on my way there. huh? QFC: 154-155-640-61677253 (Edit: Btw, what's up with posting RSOF page links? It keeps placing [Please use Quickfind Code] in the middle of the link, even on my profile page.)
  15. Finishing up 300m atm.
  16. Idk about you, but I've consistently made 10m out of merching 200m in only 5mins total merching. That's a hell of a lot more than your 10m/hr rate lol.
  17. I just spent time editting the previous post I made, reread it. :P
  18. This might be very well possible actually. Maple shortbows have a speed tick of 7, and have a max hit of about 180 or so. Rune scims have a max of about 250, with a speed tick of 6. Maple shortbow: 33.3 hits in a minute, resulting in 6k dmg/min Rune scimitar: 25 hits in a minute, resulting in 6.25k dmg/min This assumes all monsters have 0 def in f2p, hitting max each time. However this is unrealistic, especially with scimitar's max. So it may be extremely possible ranged has more dps than melee with monsters. The "speed ticks" that you are referring to is the diagram on the knowledgebase. Their real tick times in-game are in fact the empty spaces after all the bars. Scimitars hit every 4 ticks and shortbows hit every 3 ticks. There are about 99 ticks/minute(not 100), resulting in 33 shortbow hits and 24.75 hits. Obviously you seem to have taken into account the info from the KB, but apparently didn't mention it in your calculations(some people may be misled by the info provided). Regardless, the rates are still roughly the same and place the 2 very close. One thing to take into account is that you can start hitting something with Ranged before you arrive at the target to hit with melee. With Ranged, you can expect to always be in combat in every possible tick. With melee, and limited training spots in F2p, that is not usually the case. If you're max combat, you would likely kill everything near you quickly in F2p, thus having to run further out from your spot to find more to kill. Furthermore, anything with a higher max hit in general will have a slightly lower rate than calculated due to occasionally "overkilling" the target, dealing less damage on that killing blow due to the creature lacking the life points. When calculating Damage/Time(DPS is a WoW term and should not be applied to the 600ms+ tick system of RS), you should take the average damage/hit, which would be half the max hit minus any losses from both running(ignoring the first 4 ticks you'd normally have to wait after an attack anyways) and losses from overkilling. Seeing as your calculations were just estimates of the Max hit, and with the Damage/Time(perhaps we should use DPT - Damage per tick) ratio as close as it is between the two from just those calcs, I think more accurate information on the max hit would be needed. Perhaps ranged is also best in F2p to help get kills when dealing with competition. Ranged is faster to get an Ice Giant with a noob running around trying to take their kills compared to having to compete against them with a melee weapon as well.
  19. And deleted his entire friendlist. Concerning ranging in f2p, you're automatically assuming a rune scimmy will be faster than a maple bow at 99 Str/Range. Just because melee is overpowered in p2p, doesn't mean it's the same in f2p. It may very well be possible that ranging is faster Xp/hr in f2p.
  20. F2p range in the ice dungeon south of Falador. They also get free Prayer Xp from the big bones the giants drop.
  21. hes a great player lol but theres a lot more for him to do before he can arguably #1 sorry Telmo does have a lot of cash stored, though.
  22. YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST AGILITY????
