  1. Wouldn't it be better for Tezz (or anyone really) to use bonus xp until at least it goes down to 2 multiplier before training a skill which is stuck at 1.1x? I mean, it's three hours taken away from training summoning, but it's not a slow skill anyway, so using 2.7x-2x could save that time elsewhere. Just a thought. Actually it'd be best to finish up the first 10 hours before doing Summoning. That should be obvious and I'm pretty sure Tezz would see that too. -.- Yes, although he's doing worse hours than he was hoping for because of family distractions irl. That day record should've been double what it is now. He's actually been reading this thread lately, so I'll let him post about it. :P Here's his Cooking video:
  2. I'm running an Agility skillwar in my clan over the weekend :P
  3. Is he never going on vacation for 2 weeks/having an unsuspected event? Maybe even a funeral or something else. I don't know? Nothing that could delay him? But if you say so then he might squeeze 200m summoning + the cash making for it in 2011 also. You said 5,2m a week, that's 742k a day. I wouldn't say that my 600k a day is so terrible then... Actually 5.2m was an estimate and a bad one too. Suomi finished off a full Slayer week and is hitting 6m Xp/week atm. While that is "only" about 800k-900k xp/day, over time those differences add up. I expect to see Suomi with a full 26m+ month and possibly higher if he becomes faster at Slayer. Concerning real life distractions, he's been pretty consistent in his training for a long time. For example, when he did Agility, he maintained 30m-35m Xp/month consistently, never once dropping below 30m, even with a rare day off from RS.
  4. 600k Xp/day is a terrible estimate on Suomi's gains. Expect him to remain consistent at his current pace. Wait about 30-40 more hours and you'll see what his week will be. Atm it's looking towards probably 5.2m Xp/week or so.
  5. Fletching on its own without doing any other skills is in itself an Xp waste. In the least, you could fletch while doing Agility without losing any Xp/hr from Agility, nevermind other skills like Wcing.
  6. The upcoming Smithing update looks like [cabbage] :(
  7. Expect to see a new uberly epic Cooking/Overall Week record soon by a good friend/clanmate of mine! :D
  8. Agreed, Jd seems to want to keep his distance from Drumgun for the time being though. Actually Jd claims to not care at all lol About Dungeoneering, Paper, why don't you just solo it? People freak out over the Xp/hr rate, but almost nobody actuallys know exactly how much it is. Just do c6 meds all the way and make sure you have some plate armor. Armor > ssh in solo. I personally was getting about 50k-60k Xp/hr at any time on any floor in my late 70s. Ice floors are faster but less Xp and as you go deeper, the slower and more Xp floors keep the balance so that you're always getting roughly the same Xp/hr rate. At levels 100+, Dg solo is likely still well over 100k Xp/hr(probably 150k+), which alone makes it a viable option for training. Or maybe I'm the only one who sees it that way, considering I think that anything faster than Agility is absurdly fast. :P @Maka Drumgun is definitely NOT going for all 200m's so your arguments make absolutely no sense lol.
  9. Concerning rank 1, I think you'd be surprised about how many top players actually care about taking it. I believe Telmo, Elvis, and Jdel are far more interested in making noobs THINK they're competing heavily for #1 just for the "lulz" than they are in actually being #1. With that said, whoever takes #1 will probably end up having it as an extra side result of just their normal day-to-day training, rather than it being a specific goal.
  10. You're still completely ignoring the fact that most of Summoning is essentially free Xp gained while training other skills(Slayer). Anyone who does 200m Slayer will basically get 200m Summoning for free(time-wise) with only very little extra work and a lot of money required. The amount of specific time put into solely Summoning while slaying that is LOST from training potential other skills is negligible. With the exception of the price, Summoning requires the one of the least amount of work out of almost any skill. You must remember that when people train a specific skill, they are losing time out of other potential skills that they could have used that time for training. By your calculations, though, you aren't taking into account that they are still training other skills Slayer(and cb's and effigies) with relatively little Xp/hr loss from Slayer(if any). Your 25k-30k Xp/hr rate is like trying to calculate Farming at X Xp divided by 14 hours(or w/e the time is) while you train other skills for 14 hours. That obviously would not give an accurate display of the work required, simply because it only takes a couple minutes to do a farm run. You are losing out of potential Xp in other skills for only a couple minutes, not 14+ hours. The same applies to Summoning, you are making the time/effort required specifically for Summoning seem a lot less than it really is. About your reply to Chilly, I talked to her for the first time yesterday and she was quite nice. Perhaps she simply didn't want to waste Xp/hr and be inefficient by just sitting around chatting in the bank while not gaining Xp? We're talking about skills seperately, not about their combined exp. If a person is only interested in summoning and not in attack and slayer for example, then it's only gonna be the summon exp/h speed etc that matters, not the rest. From your point of view, slayer shouldn't be in the list for hardest skill either then (and it was x pages ago, which is what I'm talking about) since you also gain tons of exp in other skills when you train slayer. Summoning is the hardest SKILL. Meaning we're talking about each skill seperately. Edit: 'Hey' instead of 'ktnxbai' would've been more efficient, since it takes less letters to type. Love you Jeb <333 If you did pure Summ, didn't somebody just say it was 90k Xp/hr? Lol Seriously, though, Runecrafting is the obvious hardest skill if you exclude effigies on it.

  12. Runetrack has [cabbage]ty records as you have to start at a specific time. If you don't, your day record will be far lower than it really is. Compare this to Runetracker, which can be done at any time since it has a sliding clock. Basically if you're watching the day records, it is tracking from the earliest datapoint it has within the past 24 hours at any given time. Btw, my name is Jebrim II, not Jebrim Li. On the tracker, it shows it as Jebrim Ii due to the auto-capitalizing feature leftover back from the pre-displayname times.
  13. Chilly fell asleep and couldn't do an allnighter lol
  14. Now 1st on everything she's using to open effigies except cooking. Could be an impressive day of xp gains Wut? She's not 1st in the Agility records!
  15. I was merely noting the definition uses between Zarfot and the main RS population vs what all developers of java use. Obviously 0.6 seconds = 600ms, but in developing, they note things based off of milliseconds. Concerning how often a tick occurs, there is no single static time. IT VARIES. I personally think this is due to the length in between each tick being designed as 600ms, but the processing time(the tick itself) required takes up a few milliseconds with the system designating not starting the count to the next tick until the current tick(processing) is completed. This last bit is just theory, however, and has not actually been confirmed by Jagex. It is my explanation based on my observations of the system.
  16. .6 seconds and i gueess zarfot discovered it? Zarfot figured it out on his own, but he wasn't the first to know about it. He did, however, popularize his theory on how the RuneScape clock worked and due to that, most people refer to a tick using his "0.6 seconds" definition, instead of the technical 600ms definition used by developers. Furthermore, a tick is really just a single point in time. The 0.6 seconds/600ms that people refer to is actually the delay time in between each tick, not the length of a tick itself. Most people don't seem to understand the difference.
  17. Ok if you are doing barb fishing and you have say level 10,000 fishing (ie. you never miss a fish, ever.) You will get a fish every 5 ticks. Now if you eat something in between each fish you can increase that rate to a fish every 3 ticks. This is can be done by the cut and eat method. This is where you cut each fish so that you get caviar/roe, then you eat that, thus giving you the next fish in 3 ticks instead of 5. Occasionally when you cut the fish you won't get any caviar/roe when this happens you won't have anything to eat meaning that you will get the next fish in 5 ticks. This is where the purple sweeties come in. They are the only stackable and tradable food. You eat one of these when you don't get caviar/roe so that you can continuously get a fish every 3 ticks. Now we don't have level 10,000 fishing, we have 99 (at least for these calculations.) With 99 fishing you get a fish almost every 3 ticks, but sometimes you miss the opportunity to get a fish on that last tick. Because even at level 99 you still "fail" occasionally. (Just like falling during agility, or burning a fish while cooking) so then you have a wait another 5 ticks to get another fish, only 3 ticks if you eat sweetie. (Just like when you didn't get the caviar/roe; expect now you didn't get xp, but you still had to eat.) So this discussion is about trying to figure out about how many times you fail to get caviar/roe and how many times you fail to get a fish per hour. This will tell us how approximately how many purple sweeties we need to eat per hour thus giving us the cost of the optimal method to get 200m fishing. This will also tell us approximately how much xp per hour we will get thus giving us the time spent fishing to 200m. In other news suomi has gained 6m cons xp today, looks he will finally get max total relatively soon. I couldn't have explained it better myself
  18. It referred to both costs and the times/hr that you're eating sweets. I won't know specific rates until Foot gets around to testing how many sweets he'd use per hour. He won't test it until he has some more cash.
  19. =o cool thanks. I caught and banked 1000 fish, the average fishing xp is 65, average agility/str is still 11 now I'll check how often you don't get roe/caviar. EDIT: You get food 84% of the time. So from 99-200m you would need 460k sweets. Lol! they are 10k each now so that would be 4.6B. But it save 330 hours so you only need to be able to make 14m/hr. And for purely sweets to be better you need to be able to make 44m/hr I don't know if that's possible with merching now. You're also completely neglecting to calculate in the times when you don't get a fish after 3 ticks. There's a small chance that you will fail to get one(I am NOT referring to caviar/roe) and will be forced to wait another 5 ticks unless you ate again, in which case it'd be only another 3 ticks. Also, @all the guys speculating about suomi, he's currently intending on using his effigies on slayer and saving his extra melee xp for moneymaking. He'll be doing 200m rc all the way through right now unless he decides to change his mind again. He has been considering doing 200m slayer now as well.
  20. @Thai There are currently 2 things slowing you down with the eating/cutting method. The first is not getting a caviar/roe, where your next fish will then occur after 5 ticks. The next is there's always a chance that you won't get a fish immediately after 3 ticks. If you fail to get a fish, it won't try to give it to you for another 5 ticks(8 total). By having the purple sweets, you can reduce it to 6 ticks by eating. The sweets will also replace the caviar/roe if you don't get it. So while it won't be 124k Xp/hr due to the chance of not actually getting a fish at 3 ticks, it should still be 100k+ Xp/hr with the addition of the sweets. The urns will also increase the Xp/hr a bit.
  21. You mean eat the sweets only on occasions where you don't get the caviar/roe, thus having some gp loss, but not a massive one? In theory that should work, I'll talk to Foot about it.
  22. Can't blame me for getting it wrong. no one told me the new xp rate. What about purple sweets for 129k/hr :P Eating/Cutting combined(rather than split in dukky's original method) is essentially the same as using with purple sweets with the exception of times where you don't receive a roe/caviar, which brings you back to 5 ticks for the next fish. There is also a certain ratio of the 3 fish that is not taken into account with the calculation made by dukky. It might be an equal 33% chance, or it very well might be that certain fish will be caught more commonly than others, giving different Xp gains and thus any calculation towards fish/hr cannot be based off of Xp gained, but rather the actual counting of each fish. Also don't forget to calculate in time lost for banking if you're going to use the urns.
  23. Another option for prayer is to camp at the place with the best drop rate or your favorite monsters(abyssal demons) while using the prayer urns to get immediate Xp without banking.
  24. Flipping is imitating market makers to an extent. It creates liquidity(the ease to sell) in the market. If people never merched, it'd be very hard to sell anything quickly. This is basic economics that works in the rl, not some random made-up [cabbage] lol.
