  1. I lol'd irl at this article about the scams... if they're stupid enough to fall for those childish ones then they DESERVE to get scammed. There are far more elaborate scams out there that bank you steady mills and you have no idea of them. Which to be honest is a good thing since you believe scammers are such idiots anyway. Have fun with your false sense of belief though, good luck.
  2. Yes to IRL friend AND RS friend. Who gives a [cabbage], give me whats mine.
  3. Who gives a crap. Unless you are getting scammed for MILLIONS then its pointelss going on about it. If you're stupid enough to get scammed, get over it... I've been there before, so have 95% of the people that play this game. Learn, adapt or just stop playing runescape altogether.
  4. "Morality (from the Latin moralitas "manner, character, proper behavior") is a sense of behavioral conduct that differentiates intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are good (or right) and bad (or wrong)." Everyone has different moral codes. For example, In Runescape, we follow Jagex's rules so that we don't get banned. Now to get back on topic, to bless someone's gravestone or loot their stuff is not included in Jagex's rules, therefore its up to the individual at hand to deal with it on his own accord, and I can tell you now that 90% of the community would loot, to say otherwise would be delusional. As for someone's "feelings"... those I do not care about because those feelings reflect differently on every person. However, most of those feelings (in runescape) are portrayed as egotistical in nature, so why should I treat someone "nice" when all they want in return is something for themselves. More so, if one put so much time and effort into Runescape, one day sooner or later they are bound to regret that decision when they quit this game. So by looting their stuff, all I am doing is potentially speeding that process ;) End of story.
  5. Well call me a pessimist but I rather NOT care about the "feelings" of someone behind a screen, halfway around the world, playing a GAME. I think you sir have been playing runescape a bit too long and don't see the difference between reality and a virtual environment.
  6. Best post. Life is hard... there are no quick fixes, why should runescape be any different? "You can please some of the people all of the time. You can please most of the people some of the time. But you cannot please everyone all of the time." Therefore, toughen up... build an extra tough exterior and deal with it. Because it's a game, and people play it to escape from the unfair bleakness of real life? Again, as I replied to someone else... Just because you CAN be an [wagon] doesn't mean you SHOULD. People like you are why these forums are turning to garbage. Hey hey now buddy... no need to turn it into a personal attack. Just because you are a dreamer doesn't mean I have to be one as well! I only stated basic facts that are out there for everyone to see. Personally, I gave up on the whole "be nice" ideology a long time ago, and so should you. It only holds you back from fulfilling your true potential. Not to mention 99% of the people out there (in runescape and real life) are only out for themselves and nobody else.
  7. This event is so childish/geeky. Then again... most the things Jagex put out are inclined that way. They should just scrap the 'R15' rule on playing runescape, who are they kidding? I am willing to bet that t least a third of this "community" is under that age.

  9. Has nothing to do with capitalism. It has to do with avarice and a lack of morals. Yea right... capitalism is seeking out your own wants and needs over anyone elses. Its not my fault I'm an oportunist. Not to mention since Runescape is a GAME. I know this might be hard to comprehend but since Runescape is NOT real life, then the "morals" that apply in it are a lot more insignificant than the morals that represent real life.
  10. I'd always loot it, always! Capitalism is a [bleep] and runescape is its sister.
  11. Bit of a storm in a teacup if you ask me. Some noobs will get scammed once (or twice maybe) but that's about it. Give it a week or two and they will learn how not to get scammed. Not to mention that whenever you change something in a trade a big EXCLAMATION sign appears, so that makes it even harder to scam noobs.
