  1. Why don't you just talk to them yourselves instead of them coming to you? Also, if I was a girl the most massive turn off I could think of is having a man with blue hair.
  2. I don't know why you want to identify with the wacko culture anyway? Seems a bit superficial to me.
  3. I was in the student council in primary school and was in it all through secondary school. In England I'm pretty sure that it's a legal requirement or is something that the LEA's compel schools to do. Basically, the school council in my school gave us a choice of whether we wanted a new bench or a new drinking fountain. The drinking fountain had to be filled up using the school council budget. Anything that the school couldn't afford was taken out of the school council. Ugh, absolute waste of time. The two school councils that I have been in (from Primary and Secondary) were just a sort of tradition in the same vein as the current monarchy but without anything nice except for spending half a lunch time speaking about pipedream things. I remember that the first time I wanted to get into the school council I put up massive A2 posters everywhere telling people to vote for me whereas other people just put up hand-drawn A4 pieces of paper. I offered people freddo chocolate bars (which my mother bought cases of) and offered to hand them out to anybody who voted for me. When the school told me that I wasn't allowed to do this I just handed them out to everybody who said they were going to vote for me. And also, a 'council' is one of the worst ways to make decisions especially across a board of children. It just turns into one person giving a good idea, the entire council agreeing with that idea and then somebody else doing the same idea and have them completely forget about the last idea. There's no sort of consensus, it's just the loudest (or the chairman) wins. Also, TF2 trading can be super intense. Somebody offered to buy the nine-pipe problem off of me which according to the spreadsheet online that determines prices costs 2-4 ref. I decided that I wanted 3 refined. I wanted to be paid in metal and not strange weapons (standard weapons which have kill counters on them) which I would have to sell. He was offering 2 refined, 1 reclaimed and then a strange (which can be up to 2 reclaimed metals depending on its type but it takes a long time to find a trade and it's just not worth the effort) so I asked for 3 refined metal (3 rec = ref) but he was insistent that he gives me a strange instead of 2 reclaimed metal. I offered that he give me 3 refined, 2 reclaimed and one strange and I just refused to accept any other offers. Anyway, he accepted the trade and I got what I wanted (2 refined, 2 reclaimed, 1 strange) and the he added me as a friend and said this to me. What's buddy night, Leiana? It sounds similar to something that my primary school had.
  4. Smoking cigars is pretty memorable.
  5. I'm guessing that it's something to do with homestuck.
  6. Dyeing hair is so unoriginal, maybe a face tattoo :P Also, I've never seen a good hair dye. They always appear obviously dyed and make the hair look like plastic. Maybe a new haircut? If you dye your hair then I'm going to suggest a glorious Norwegian blond.
  7. Tiger Pendant of the Jade Regent 3,400 GP 5,000 GP assorted gems Rod of Wonder - 12,000 GP Mithral Chain Shirt 1100 GP Leaving 6500 GP which can be payed after the falchions and other unnecessary items are sold. Garmund, would you be willing to spare two skeletons for me?
  8. I'm not really desperate to keep onto Timmy. If anybody else wants to keep him they can. He shouldn't really be used for combat since he's such a low level but if we're going to take him on then I'll suggest alchemist. Otherwise we can just give him a wand of cure light wounds (1500gp or free if we steal one) and keep him as a good luck charm. Anybody got any input on the golems? I've decided to take Golem Constructor as my level 7 feat but I think I can still change before the session starts. Taking craft construct requires two prerequisite feats that aren't going to be useful, one of which I don't plan to take but I do plan to take craft wondrous item. Is it worth taking one useless feat to open up all the possibilities for golems?
  9. I don't understand the system. Some of the things you said that you didn't want to do, did you select these and realise that you've made a mistake or are they random selections? It seems strange to redo courses that you've already passed or courses that you're not happy about doing.
  10. Timmy: Attacks decrease damage dice by 1 step Edit: added young template
  11. Name: Clinton Wades Clinton Wades is an ex-politician adept at diplomacy, negotiations and general knowledge of parliament. He was born in west London to a privileged family and subsequently took a position in the House of Lords. Although Wade’s life has given him an inordinate wealth and an extravagant lifestyle he has a hunger for adventure and magic. Wade’s position as a politician has made him adept at social dealings; he is skilled with persuasion and diplomacy. His natural charm makes it hard for people to disagree with him, to think that he’s a liar or to wish harm upon him. His position in parliament has given him a keen eye for spotting certain aspects of people. Aspects: Charming Personality Aspect 1: Investor in the Ideas of Edwin Chadwick. You don't pay alot of attention to it, only that his plans involve making people less sick Second aspect: Rich as sin: You, as a Lord, have more money than you really know what to do with. You own a country house and a City House off of Hannover Square Finally, Aspect 3: Premature Ageing: You have lived fast most of your life, as a child you were out in your Father's house, shooting and buring groundskeepers, and the occassional fox that got in the way of your guns. When your father died you inherited his fortune and did your best to blow it on Opium, Girls, Guys and Groundskeepers, but a significant amount remains...Now, at only age 27, you are half deaf, half blind, and have all the spryness of an iron ingot. Added Skills: 1.0 Graveriser 10.0 Bluff 5.0 Diplomacy 5.9 Persuasion 3.0 Barrister 1.0 Climbing 1.0 Swimming Feats: (4/4) Affinity with the Law - Because of Wade’s lordship and charisma the law is far more likely to support him. Even when it is obvious that he committed a crime the police are always more likely to side. Endurance – A life of opium smoking and drinking have given him a great deal of endurance. He can take much more of a beating than a standard person. Dagger Proficiency Executioner – Can perform a stealth execution. It is hard to detect that the person is dead or been killed.
  12. I think it's very possible that the kobolds also believe the illusion that the black kobold is a dragon. Kobolds effectively worship dragons so that's likely the reason as to why he's the leader. The illusion just needs to be dispelled.
  13. I can get it. I can almost reach it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DHIqUkmj-o But in all seriousness I think that if myself and one or two others are willing to sneak in and take the kobold we could have a go at taking the whole treasure hoard. I'm going to get arcane mark so that next time this situation arises I can merely touch the most valuable item and then use instant summons (at later levels) to just start having it either teleport to me or find the location of it.
  14. Anybody got any suggestions for a 4th level spell? I'm already taking Phantom Chariot and am a bit tied for options. I was thinking of either: Enervation Black Tentacles Lesser Geas Obsidian flow (3d6 and entangle)
  15. Setting: Don't care as long as it's predating guns. Magic: Yes, Shunned I thought that Infernal magic was quite good. Gameplay Same as with Mather (below) Towns: The County Fate Points: Hybrid Skill System Realism no preference.
  16. I'm for the FATE system. If not then it would be nice to allow some traits upon character creation that provide permanent bonuses.
  17. I'm considering getting the three item crafting feats instead of the one golem constructor. Although I don't really think constructs are going to need much versatility it will certainly be helpful to have a few low-cost golems such as the iron cobras and then something to really aspire to such as the adamantine golems. Craft wondrous item seems useful as well, has anybody else taken it? Craft magical arms and armour seems like it will be wasted, I can't really use any of it myself and although it will be useful for my followers and everybody else it feels like such a wasted feat, is the feat worth it for construct creation. Because of planar binding I can double my crafting time and fabricate is instantaneous but I'm not about whether it can craft wondrous items. Everybody having wings of flying seems appealing. Also, I won't be able to make constructs as quickly which will be a bit disappointing. I'm sure that I'll find a non-typical use for the arms and armour or one that I can do without the proficiencies but really it's more of a question of whether the enchanted armour and swords will be helpful or whether it's just a wasted feat. Also remember that the feat means that we get Clockwork Leviathans. Thoughts?
  18. Originally, the -mancy suffix referred to divination via an object, so alomancy (salt) was trying to predict the future by using salt and the control over salt. Also, just because the Greek name it doesn't mean you need to call it XYZ magic, there are loads of suitable options depending on the setting. Adding the -mancy suffix implies total control over something in the same way superheroes do. It's not really something that wizard's or adventurers have unless they were born with it, they're comic-book superpowers. I posted my suggestion earlier but it was a shadowed by the argument. Getting rid of very niche and limited magic (-mancy) would probably make magic a lot more fun overall.
  19. It would make sense to get rid of elemental control which means that you're forced to specialise in a certain elements to get anywhere and means that there's a whole collection of magic-types that are just weaker than the rest. Elemental control could be replaced with the type of control, so conjuration, manipulation, dispelling, animation which would be self-sufficient manipulation, can manipulate with half the power of conjuration except permanent. There would be sub-skills for all of the types of magic, for example being adept at the manipulation of fire. Also, egypt seems a good idea place for a setting.
  20. Fallout is the only game that did it :P The technology would be similar to how it would be in the standard future except aesthetically different (rayguns and such). The whole story could be based around how the constant desire for energy tore the society apart. The space station could be a society on the brink of chaos due to energy demands and your job is to secure long-term energy solutions for the modern society.
  21. Retro-Futuristic or how the future was imagined in the sixties. You could maybe take some inspiration from bioshock. http://science-fiction.ambient-mixer.com/derelict-ship
  22. I need to level up my own character as well. I've added a +1 to my HP from the favoured class bonus and updated my daily spells. Are there any differences to my class features (fort save, ref save and such)? Also, Doctors don't refer to phobias with the phobia suffix normally.
  23. Read: commoners who can't defend themselves.
  24. I don't have rope trick yet and also no longer have the rod of extend. When I do get it I'll just need to cast the spell twice. I can then return at level 12 with some golems.
  25. The other plan was to spend a short period in Absalom.
