  1. ^Yay someone agrees with me I am getting rather tired of explaining everything. It doesn't matter if you have time in minutes or hours since you are raising both B/B max to the power of 60 for all tasks which only amplifies the results, comparin A7/300 to B13/300 is the same as A^7 and B^13 I thought about this for a couple days before finalising the formula. If you use a random number for them it does not work. For exmaple slay/100000 + summoning/ 0.1 creates an unfair domination of summoning. Also if all slayer rates were in the order of 10^6 and summoning rates were in the order of 10^3 adding them together with the same denominator would not work because slayer would dominate that is why you have to relate them to their counterparts, relating slayer to the xp rate of aquanites might work aswell but max rates have more of a reason to work so i used them. Now for B/average B Do you know how indexes work? if the task is bad B is below average, being below average then B/av B is below 1 and the opposite is true for a good task. This makes the freq x length work, this is crucial to the formula working and is a clever solution to the fact that long good tasks are good but long bad tasks are bad meaning there is not a direct relationship between length and efficiency. Maybe I didn't explain that in enough detail. For good tasks a high [freq x length] is good therefore when you put a number greater than 1 to the power of freq x length the higher the power the higher the result. This works the same for a bad task below 1 where a high [freq x length] is bad, when you put a number below 1 to the power of a larger number it becomes smaller and small is worse.
  2. They wont think it is a bad task since a good task's efficiency will ALWAYS stay above 1 no matter what the length and freq are whereas a bad task will ALWAYS be below 1.
  3. Frequency and length most certainately have to do with how good a task is. If a bad task takes a long time it is worse than a bad task that doesn't last long because you are getting bad xp for longer. Similarly if a good task is assigned often it is better than a good task that is assigned very rarely because you are getting good xp more often. A task taking twice as long has the same effect as a task being twice as likely to be assigned except that assignment rate effects slayer points got/spent which I think is unimportant in the greater scheme of things. Yes I take the max rate I will NOT include profit because it isn't important for what I wanted to use it for. Like I said earlier the formula is adaptable and you can add boredom, afkness and profit (read back if you don't know how to measure boredom). Adding them does result in a meaningful number. It combines the comparisons it has with the other (max) tasks in an equal way, note that multiplying them together does not work because then Jad and mages would have a 0 base efficiency. Also if you cared about slayer 3 times more than effigies and summoning the formula would be like B = 3x (slayer) + (summoning) + (effigies)

Ok while I copy some of the figures here is the formula used for you to ponder on (xp rate)/(dagganoth xp rate) + (summoning rate)/(waterfiends summoning rate) + (effigy rate)/(black demons effigy rate) If that figure is the base efficiency (B) then (B/average B)frequency x length Where a larger result is a better task

Its actually worth it not to use adze for these so you get more logs to split log also is where foot( givememyarm ) got that method from [/hide]But the gain in wc xp is negated by the loss in firemaking xp, especially since splitting the logs doesn't fill up urns. That method is max 130k/hr? And I think splitting and re clicking doesn't stop you woodcutting similar to fletching bolts. splitting logs is 42.5xp (don't think lumberjack effects it). 1 log is 147 firemaking xp, firemaking is 450k/hr If adze is better then 147/450 > 42.5/130 0.3267> 0.3269 which is false. So unless you get faster wc or slower fm dragon axe is a tiny bit better (actually saves less than a second worth of training each time lol) I appreciate it but the list just doesn't make much sense to me at the moment. Really appreciate all the calculations and tasks lists that are posted here even though I don't always say it, keep it up! Also was wondering if people would be interested to hear about my runescape history and how I started going for 200M in all skills. Would explain why I started asking for donations too, it would be very long post though and I don't really like talking about myself. Never been good writer either, especially in English. Would probably post it after Bonus XP weekend because been really busy with Slayer lately and have to write a bit at a time haha :P And don't really know if its something that people would like to read. Anyways post what you think and I will think about it :P I'd like to read that. Paperbag's history was a really good I'm sure yours would be too.

  12. You can get the task time by xp/hr divided by xp/kill which is kills/hr then divide kills/task by kills/hr
  13. Ok I realised that the xp rate for spectres I had was wrong. That puts them into 5th best. Do you want to see the formula? And the spreadsheet? I am certain that the formula is correct.
  14. Once again the person above posted while I was writing this. They are from the best tasks to the worst with the ones at the bottom being the best to cancel. Best all round would have a good chance of being high up but 1 with a very high slayer rate and effigy rate with no charms dropped could be just as high up. There is no bias to summoning, would you like to see the formula? Those are probably below jungles because of frequency and/or time spent on the task. I don't think you can account for that in any formula but if you needed mage xp and there were 2 tasks that gave good mage xp you could see which to skip. Yes black demons are very well rounded.
  15. The 2 people above posted while I was writing this. Oh right its every 50th task. Well then that's 28.8 points per task. The formula is very adaptable, you can change it to include profit, afkness and boredom if you rate afk and boredom on a scale of 1-10. As well as that you can also make slayer twice as important as summoning. Comparing spectres and aqua. Aqua have higher xp rate, aqua have double the effigy drop rate, spectres have double the summoning xp rate. They are both a below average task and aqua are assigned more often and they take about the same time to do. I didn't test tzarr because Zarfot did jad tasks I assumed that was better Jungles are a bit below average slayer rate, just below average effigies and way below average summoning. They are very rarely assigned and take an average amount of time to complete.

Thankyou very much :D thats 102 tasks btw ;) The best tasks for someone who cares equally about effigies, charms and slayer are: Black demon Bloodveld Dark beasts Dagganoth Nechs Ice strykes Waterfiends Steel dragons Hellhound Black dragon Aberrant spectres Mithril dragons Iron dragons Dust devils Suqath Skeletal Wyvern Blue dragons Fire giants Jungle strykes Gargoyles Greater demon Kalphite Terror dog Aquanite Abby demons Desert strykes Living rocks Warped tortoise Jad Spiritual mages Some of the positions in the list might seem strange. The 1 thing that is wrong is that gold charms are used because the summoning rates in Zarfot's guide use gold charms which puts hellhouds higher up. As a reward for getting the data I will get the summoning rates excluding gold charms if you want. I'm not sure yet how many of the tasks you can afford to skip while still getting enough points but if it is possbile to not do the worst 13 tasks its best to block the ones that are assigned most. Remember that Kuradel gives 27 points per task when you include the bonus 10th and 100th tasks.
  17. I imagine the competition will be quite fierce - a reason to do things like thieving, agility and construction imo. Yes it was very frustrating when I chinned 91-94 on bonus xp there were a lot of people sharing spots. 1 world I logged into had 3 chinners and a burster. Its even worse when they don't know how the bones cause spawns. Better to train another skill until the first 24 hours is up then try find spots.

  19. I honestly wouldn't be surprised that he eventually takes rank 1 if he comes back. IMO he's the best and most efficient skiller that ever played RS. Like an upgraded N0valyfe lol. He has 400 ish days playtime with 2,35B XP... That's just... well insane lol. Lolwat that is insane. But playing 3 times as much beats being twice as efficient, I wouldn't be surprised if another player who plays an insane amount would keep number 1 from him. Wow Jeb you gonna be training agility?
  20. I buy baskets of apples/tomatoes(5) and sacks of potatoes/cabbage (10) That's 30 items when you make them into (9), (8)... ect And if thats not enough I buy everything out of the chest in lummy basement.

  22. suomi is training farming now everyday and getting ~1.8m exp per week, so it will take him about 2-2.5 years to get it to 200m. that means he will get it before he maxes his other skills. and no one has ever done 200m farming exp in 6-12 months, since max rates are 2m/week. Unless you play vinesweeper :o Or farm every single other thing and hoard spirit tree seeds lol
  23. Viv how are those tasks going? I actually can't wait for the data :D I have 2 spreadsheets; 1 for the player who cares about slayer, summoning and effigies (can easily be changed to slay+summoning or slay+effigy) and a 2nd one for the player who only cares about slayer and uses effigies on slayer (I made this 1 for you because I thought this was what your attitude to slayer is like). Still need those xp rates and the slayer xp from the kalphites that are killed, idk which ones are in the spot used. EDIT: Don't need the rates anymore I got them from a reliable source :smile:
  24. I guess it will need a lot more testing. Is it easy to tank demons wearing bandos with a uniron/bunyip summoned? I am actually thinking of the friend tanking, if they are fletching a bunyip would be better. It doesn't look like you are attacking much with melee so maybe you can telegrab stuff when you aren't using melee.
  25. Damn Jagex are too smart! Except really stupid when it comes to making effigy drop rates :P Looks like you don't get much melee xp so I can see you maxing slay, rc, agil, fish all before finishing melee which could be worse than crawlers since you are getting diminishing value for your effigies as you get closer to maxing melee. (I hope that makes sense) With the friend method if you are giving them p pots you don't have much space for picking up ashes. Also once this method gets better known I can see it being very crowded unless ashes go down a lot. If it does get crowded I'm sure crawlers would be better. We'll have to see :)
