  1. Why not just have everyone dress in the same clothes: i.e. "dragon skirt", "granite body", "dragon boots", "d-med helm", "whip" and "obsidian shield", and then have them all scurry around the Runefest site as one large group -- budding into lines ahead of other people, waiting 30 seconds, then rushing to another spot and budding into THAT line ahead of people, and then waiting another 30 seconds and scurrying to another spot, etc. If they find a tree they can all pretend to cut it down. Of course, if they could organize 100 people to do it altogether at the same time, it'd be even more poignant, but even a group of 5 or 6 people together would be large enough to be noticed if they behaved badly enough. Frankly, I think that would be precisely the kind of public embarrassment that Jagex deserves to have displayed at their much-heralded public event. :shame: I lol'd Too much work and wardrobe coordination. I still want to advertise for gold in front of the place.
  2. You're preaching to the wrong crowd. Loyal players, or just players in general, haven't quit. That's just your warped perception (As I've touched on before), believing they have.. And now Jiblix? As if it's breaking news. You've stated multiple times that you've quit, but you're still here preaching on a daily basis. You've no idea what can be done by them, there's no need to "Save the game", it's not "lost". Yes there are bots and the like, but most of us aren't shoving it down peoples throats. Seriously, find something better to do, please. I think there are two versions of "quit." Actually stop playing the game and stop paying for members. I personally have "quit" as in I quit giving them my money. I think a large chunk of their loyal fanbase has too. I'd love to see a graph of how many accounts that have been around for 5+ years have members now vs members a year ago. I'd wager that a large number less.
  3. We'd do it outside. We'd cut at the trees around the venue with fake axes and then run as a group to another tree. And I had an situation with the police security at the airport. Essentially, he grabbed me in a sexual manner and I punched him in the face. Got held, wanted to charge me with assault and stuff. So eventually we compromised and I left and couldn't come back for 2 years. All because some idiot decided he wanted to grab my boob. <_<
  4. Why won't they let you in? You a Mexican or something? lmao no need to get all...lol. he probably meant the trouble of getting a passport - acutally paying for the flight etc. Actually no, I tried to go there a year ago. Had an "incident" with some of your local airport security. Anyways, had to come back home and can't go back for 2 years. (1 year now) Ezzy was near inconsolable.
  5. Yes, the one time when all their players are there with them with no barriers and no dodging questions is not the time to talk to players about what the players want to talk about. That sounds just like Jagex.
  6. Never have quit, but quit giving them money. It only seemed to encoruage them.
  7. If not for the fact that England won't let me in their country I would seriously do it. I'd get the gold selling LED sign and everything. Then get a bunch of people together to bot. And I think it would be easier to just do some woodcutting and then go back and forth from tree to tree.
  8. Really? By whom are they restricted? Where can I find their restrictive rules of conduct? Oh, what's that? I can't? Then I can't assume they have them. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I have to assume they do not. Restrictive by the definition of the position. Performing those duties requires times and it's most likely to be time that you'd spend playing. That's how it can be restrictive. Not to mention Jib mentioned people coming into the game to ask him to leave the game to help manage the forums. So how about you not jump at people trying to agree with you? <_<
  9. But that's not true. Maybe it is your percieved view on the matter, but the fact is that mods and regular players have the exact same rules to follow. Mods aren't "above the rest of the community". This is very true also taking into account that Mods must spend their playing time to fulfill their mod duties. And because they're mods, they're expected to not openly criticize anything Jagex does. In fact, they're more regimented and restricted than the average player.
  10. Well, they both have the same size boobs AKA none. You haven't seen 7.1 don't you? XD That scene with her kissing Harry. :P ONTOPIC: Loyalty crap, meh... Yeah, she's a very pretty girl. Very pretty and very flat chested.
  11. If I had the time to go to runefest, I'd be totally down for this - what an awesome idea in general. Plus the LED signs - preferably flashing in different colors sellin gold - so awesome. It stinks because the bot thing would need like 15-20 people to really make it work. However goldselling with the LED signs would only need about 3. Someone seriously get on this. <3:
  12. Oh, so they shouldn't have done it for fear of being viewed as a Jackass company, because it's immoral in your mind? Are you serious? You've no idea about the ins and outs of Moderators. There isn't a written rule about criticizing Jagex. There's an unwritten rule about it, sure - but written? It's one of those grey areas that could go either way. It doesn't look good when someone that you put in a position of authority - no matter how small - makes you look bad. But against the rules? Hardly. The game may have changed since I left the team back in May, but making volunteers sign away their right to rant about a part of the game they don't like is so pedantic, I can't even fathom the thought. If you're part of your schools staff and post a video on Youtube, criticizing your school, I'm pretty sure it would cause trouble with your workplace, be it voluntary or not. Let's just say the film was about how 90% of the students are on crack and nobody is doing diddly-squat about it. This is where it gets messy, because you're shoehorning something voluntary like a PMod into a role that you get salary for. In the case of an employee showing footage of how bad their workplace is, it could be interpreted in any manner of ways - one way would be defamation, the other could be corporate espionage (if it showed anything sensitive), or it could be trespassing (if you didn't have clearance to be in the area you filmed). It's not considered defamation of character if any of the statements are based in fact, and retaliating against an employee, while legal, is frowned upon and results in damages. Volunteers can't enjoy similar provisions. If you retaliate against a volunteer, it makes you look like a jackass, but you're not breaking any law. I think that's the situation here, as Jagex was well within their provision to demod Jiblix. But that doesn't make them look any better. yeah, but kind of dumb. He didn't say anything everyone didn't know. They just made an example out of him. Jiblix: Blowing the whistle on stuff everyone already knew about.
  13. If you're part of your schools staff and post a video on Youtube, criticizing your school, I'm pretty sure it would cause trouble with your workplace, be it voluntary or not. Let's just say the film was about how 90% of the students are on crack and nobody is doing diddly-squat about it. It would depend on how far you went in the video. Jiblix didn't exactly go very far and say anything over the top. He let the game speak for itself.
  14. This all reminds me of a little story of my childhood. I was a mildly troubled child. Shocker I know, but let's move on. Anyway, in fifth grade I had some issues with my teacher. I thought she was terrible and should go back to teaching 1st grade like she did the year before. And the year after I may add. Anyway, one night my family went to Burger King. My school was having some event there and I honestly didn't know it was going on. Well, I'm eating by myself while my younger brother and the principal of the school came up. He said he didn't want any problems with me and anything I did there he could punish me at school over. My reply I remember very well, but this is as close as I can get to verbatim: "No, it can't. This is a Burger King. You're the principal at Rio Vista. Here you're just a guy and you have no power over what I do here. Now leave me alone and let me eat my fries in peace." Basically, Runescape is the school, Jagex is the principal, Burger King is Youtube, and Jiblix is me. What I did there and what he did at YT has should have no bearing on what happens at another location.
  15. Actually, that's exactly right. He certainly didn't tell any to vote *for* them and he didn't tell them to vote *against* them. He said don't *vote for* them. Pedantic I know. :P
  16. Maybe the people going to Runefest should do the bot thing outside of it?
  17. Well, they both have the same size boobs AKA none.
  18. There's ways and means to do things. Going public and criticising on the net, viewable by all, when you're representing the organisation isn't a good idea. Even if I despised the company I worked for I wouldn't go public on ANY website about them. Not worth my job or in RS case fmod/pmod. Well, maybe he thought he had to? Maybe he flet used and neglected as a mod? It sucks that you're trying to help and because of that you can't speak your mind. I guess what I'm saying is that it's about degrees. I don't think the consequences were equal to the criticism. Intentionally trying to give bad PR to Runescape seems to be deserving of de-modding. To jagex, the golden joystick for whatever reason means something, so it was pretty deserving to them. @pal I notice the video is still up on youtube and they haven't removed it yet, so i don't exactly see how you can say jagex is trying crush free speech lol. Demodding in a silly video game =/= silencing or capitalistic oppression. Giving them bad PR? I didn't see anything in his video that wasn't the f2p game at any given time. Then he gave an opinion that wasn't trying to give anyone PR. And no, not in itself crushing free speech, but it certainly sends the message to other mods who might want to say something. "Toe the line or we'll toss you out." Personally, I'd love to see the forum mods go on strike. Let's see Jagex try to control their forums then, lol. And Pal, not they aren't turning into one. They've been one for a while.
  19. Does getting a Dracon Visage and a clue on back to back drops count if the clue led to a 3rd age platebody?

  21. Personal opinion and public location....not a great combination  To me, the fact that it was on Youtube makes a huge difference. It's like getting into a fight with someone 2 blocks away from a high school and they suspend you for it. If it's not on their site, it's none of their business. It's different from a fight on the street, since it actually is putting Jagex in a bad light. Of course Jagex deserves the criticism, but they can remove Pmod status for no reason other than I-don't-like-you, since it's their game and they make the rules. Not saying they can't, saying they shouldn't. It hardly promotes open discussion when target people who criticize them.
  22. I personally loathe RTS games. I'll take the worst Runescape over any of them.

  24. If a mod comes out and says something should we all run away and log off? And we should get 10 people with these: And have them offering to sell gold.
