  1. Someone give me some advice, PLEASE. I have been hunting grenwalls since March. I have 210K of them. I was expecting the price to rise for the bonus exp weekend, but now they are crashing at a grotesque fashion. Anyways originally my plan was to sell, get 91-96 herblore BEFORE bonus exp weekend, and then make 700 extremes/overloads at beginning (after farming run) to get just about 99 herblore. Then I was going to make mahogany tables until 1.1 multiplier, then use all of my charms. This would get me over 90 construction (75 currently), and then I would still have a pretty penny left. After I saw the vomit-inducing prices grenwalls were selling for, I figured I would just abandon my plans and just log in every several hours during BXPW so I can do numerous farming runs with a 2.7-2.5 multiplier, so I could at least get an attractive 2M or so farming exp. However, I do have an offer to sell my 210K grenwalls for 850 each. This will get me 178.5M, so I will then have 185M total. Should I take the offer and not look back ? Or do you think prices for grenwalls will rise ? If I am confident that I could get over 220M for my 210K grenwalls then I will go with my farming plan. TL;DR What are the chances Grenwall spikes will recover to 1K each (or more), and am I an absolute fool if I don't sell my grenwalls for 850 each when they currently buy on GE for 500? Thank you so much if you respond. I don't know what to do.
  2. To add, I've been hunting grenwalls for 6 months so getting worthy payment for all that grinding is higher priority than getting 99 herb and 90 construction during BXPW. I can always get 99 herb spending almost no money, or even making money, by cleaning herbs. That's how I got 91 which is practically half way. Less actually since obviously the last 1.5 M exp or so will be overloads. Also construction I can always just use oak planks. It is only like 80M for 99 then, and is still very fast exp compared to most other skills. However I realize that my hopes not coincide with reality, and if the days of 1k+ grenwall spikes are over then I will have to sell eventually, no matter how "entitled" I feel. The other day I saw a guy just standing near the obelisk at the entrance of the elven city.2 hours later he was standing in exact same spot. He was 135 combat. I looked him up, he had 8M overall experience. He was unranked in just about everything, and had 78 attack strength and defense. I think I know why the prices are crashing now !!!!!!!

  4. I don't think bots will bother with it to be honest. You have to do TONS of quests and all the quests in that area are infuriating and aggravating beyond belief. (in my opinion) The quest stories are pretty good, but I was pulling my hair out whenever I had to make that clubhouse thing for myself. I felt claustrophobic. Not nearly as bad as Mournings End Part II I guess. That quest actually psychologically messed me up because at the same time I was spending excruciating hours falling down and getting zapped and stuck in that puzzle I was getting really into Ray Bradbury's dystopia in his brilliant Fahrenheit 451, and I distinctly remember listening to anthology outtakes of Strawberry Fields Forever over and over and over again. It wouldn't seem like those 10 hours spent that day would be very memorable, but they have been graved into my brain and senses forever. Anyways, I doubt any botters will go through the grueling trouble of doing all of those clustermuck quests just for a relatively slightly higher xp/hr. I mean they are bots. If they are just on 5000 hours a day it doesn't matter much whether it is 50k an hour or 75k an hour. By the way, BOTS BURN IN HELL FOR SCREWING UP GRENWALLS WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MY GRAVY TRAIN!
  5. Is there any reason that you can't check your trees and replant them once it starts, and then just log back on every several hours the rest of the weekend to do more farm runs, so that you can have a 2.5ish multiplier for farming the entire weekend? Is there any reason why this won't work?
  6. This whole argument reminds me of whenever people say that somebody shouldn't complain about their girlfriend breaking up with them or something like that because "many people have it worse". Well if that is true, that you can't complain about something since someone had it worse than you, then I don't want to hear anyone complain except for survivors of true atrocity, rape and genocide. Similar to how I don't want you to complain about others having it the "easier" way unless if you do it all yourself. Well, as long as the person in question isn't breaking the rules.
  7. this How can that even be healthy? Hahaha I have never done that and not going to =P I can't say any exact hours for how much I sleep or play a day because I am human and every day is different. Some days I am awake 12 hours and then I sleep 12 hours, some days 16 hours awake and then sleep 10 hours. I sleep whenever I am tired, I don't count the hours. I can't remember when I last time slept less than 8 hours and I guess I sleep too much but I love it. Never used alarm in the last 4 years so I always sleep as long as possible. I have no idea why people think I play 17-20 hours a day. I have gained less than 25M Slayer Xp this month and I get over 70K Slayer Xp/h when using effigies on slayer. So that means I have played about 360 hours this month. I know that's a lot too but nowhere near 17 or 20 hours a day... it's actually about 12 hours a day. I don't know why people need to exaggerate everything. Anyways why it's so important to know how many hours I play a day? Another donation argument too, yay! :P Don't really have anything more to say, been through this argument at least 1k times. If you don't want to accept donations or don't like them, that's fine. It's your decision, you choose how you play. And if you don't want to respect me just because I get free pixels, that's fine too. I never expected anyone to respect me and I don't play this game to get respect anyways. You say that 200M all skills won't mean anything if I got it because of donations, I find that quite funny when most of my exp is from unbuyable skills. Oh and someone said that they respect hackers/scammers more than someone who accepts donations but never scams/hacks anyone. I find that kinda funny too, no wonder that rs community is what it is nowadays. Someone said that those donation pictures always start agruments, there was tons of donation arguments even before I started posting on this thread and there was no donation pictures either. So I wouldn't blame anyone who is posting those donation screenshots. Haters gonna hate no matter what you do, even if I didn't accept donations I know people would find reasons to "hate" if they wanted to. That's just how people are sadly. I see people complaining about anything. But if you think about the bigger picture, how does it harm anyone if someone wants to give me free pixels in a game? I really appreciate all the help and sorry about a bit negative post but this is like 18547845th donation/hours a day debate. Before someone said I played 20 hours a day and everyone believed him and now 17 hours, honestly where you get these numbers? Haha =P Oh and huge thanks langer for the weekly updates as always! At least some posts are on topic =P I was jk btw, I actually play 30 hours a day Sorry. A few dozen pages back I remember someone else saying 16-17 hours so that is why I said that.
  8. One of the reasons i have zero "respect" for suomi is because of this. Relying on other people for exp. At the end of the day it's not suomi who maxes out but rather the 500 thousand people who fed the supplies. No, it is definitely SUOMI who maxes out, as he puts in 17 hours a day of painstaking efficiency. Donations are a part of the game. All of the other contenders can do the exact same thing. If they don't that is their fault. Give me a break with this "my integrity really shines through while I play runescape" nonsense. If you are saying that his achievements aren't as legitimate as those who made their money from merching/staking/dicing, then I hope some DIY maniac comes by and claims that he is the only legitimate and respectable runescape player.
  9. That is actually.. brilliant. Let us all burn the normals. The possibility of a creative utopia is so beautiful it is tear inducing. All of those damn normals... that don't get my poetry man.
  10. What items did SUOMI invest in? Which herb or secondary is the best to stock up on? Perhaps once he unloads all of them and makes a massive profit he will have an epiphany and fall in love with merchanting! ------------------------------- Off-topic Not to jump on the inspiration train, but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhDmNRQgKLM I still can't believe I beat out Pacino that year. His performance in And Justice For All was far superior. I should have won for Lenny instead. Of course, that was the same year as Godfather Part II which again, Pacino had me beat. Surprisingly Art Carney won it that year. Also I was looking at the ending of The Graduate and some maniac kid used the scene iat the end of his youtube video. DONTWANThttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuRQw-jHO_E&feature=channel_video_titleTOSPAMPOSTWITHVIDEOS I actually kind of like it. It is a nice statement on existentialism, but that kid looks a bit deranged. I don't know why I said "but". It implied that was a bad thing. I like crazy.
  11. It's a trap! That wasn't jagex that was a hacker. Exit everything out and virus scan for trojans.
  12. I don't know. If I got 60k GOP tokens I would much rather buy 1333 blood teletabs for a quick and painless 825k runecrafting exp. It would take 33M runecrafting exp for the .025% to add up to 825k. Of course, this doesn't take into account the few hours it takes to make all those blood runes. Disclaimer: I'm probably wrong about something because I'm only 50 runecrafting and have never done GOP. I am going off of what I see on the tip.it GOP guide because I was thinking of doing it later to finally start training runecrafting. By the way, how much runecrafting exp an hour is it if you are making bloods with blood teletabs? (not including time spent obtaining tokens)
  13. Yes because it isn't the 'best' slayer list as you claim L. Ok if you must know it's because =IF(C38="y",0.814654646*C49,C49*1.55356234)+IF((P35+R35)<(200000000-C37),((P35+R35)/154.4-(C43+C44))/3500,(((200000000-C37)/154.4-((200000000-C37-R35)/P34+C44))/3500))+(V33/900000)-C54 says so Ok first let me say that there is still a lot of error in my model. This is not because of the way my model works. That is extremely sound and will provide the optimal task list provided it has accurate input data. Most of the data that I had to manually enter is accurate such as npc slayer xp and expected value of slayer points. The other data that is just as crucial, but much, much, much harder to measure are these input data: probability of assignment, kills per hour, and kills per effigy. For kills per effigy i use vex's formula which has been proven to be quite accurate. But as for Probability of assignment and kills per hour these are extremely hard to measure accurately thus leading to the 55% error margin that exists in my slayer model. Because there has been a new task introduced all of the previous task frequency data that was painstakingly collected by Vivian and Ellessar is useless. Both of them had collected at total of 345 unblock task log data. In order to have at 2% error margin which I would find acceptable at the 95% confidence level I would need around 3,000 tasks logged. This will probably never happen especially before a new task is released rendering all of the data useless. To solve I would need to know how Jagex assigns the probability of being assigned any given task to a player. They have a formula for it and if that can be discovered then almost all of the error in my model with disappear instantly. The other problem I mentioned with Kills per hour is that this is always changing with new ways to kill a NPC quicker, or new gear that makes the rate go up. These are managable if the user knows about how many they can kill in an hour. This is editable in my model and I intended these numbers to be different for every player. However most players don't keep track of this like this and want me to provide them with the answer. Basically what I want this model to be in fully editable so that any player can go in and find the optimal task list FOR THEM. Surely there exists an truly optimal task list that will in fact be the fastest way to get 200m all skills, but that is not what I had intended the model to be. Based on a particular players kills per hour they may have a totally different task list than another player. I am working full time so I don't have any opportunities to work on this model. I made a post in the metagame disscussion forum about the model explaining it and looking for help with either developers or data collectors. People seemed rather uninterested so I gave up. Since I don't play anymore I really don't care about the model. I found it fun to make, but now I really have no ambition to keep working on it. Maybe someday I will add a personal effigy time calculator for more accurate effigy time saved, but maybe not. This has come out rather ramblish and I should explain what that long formula Thai posted is. That is my "golden formula" to determine what task list is optimal. What is does is converts all of the expected effigies, charms, and prayer xp in to hours saved through various methods. Then it subtracts the number of hours that the model predicts you will be slaying for your particular interval of slayer xp. Basically "Skilling hours saved - hours slaying" The task list that maximizes this function and does not have a negative expected value of slayer points is the optimal task list. I am me. Nothing more, nothing less. My GOD. You reek of success.
  14. Please answer. I'm trying to cross the bridge from the Monty Python and the Holy Grail and this is the second question.
  15. Does hunter level have an impact on how likely a graahk or kyatt will provide non tatty fur? Thanks!
  16. My comment got deleted even though I was just complimenting everybody. Everybody here is a damn comedian. Really, I laugh constantly while reading this topic. What does SUOMI farm? And about how long do you think it will be until he gets 200M farming?
  17. You got it wrong. The skill wouldn't be "martial arts". It would be "Ninja". Then it could be amazing. The training and fighting on it should be like mortal combat/soul caliber style. Could you imagine pretty much playing mortal combat for hours and getting Ninja experience? Then at every 10th level you unlock a new martial arts style. Every new level or every few new levels you get a new move. Doing ninja raids/missions would be the other way to train. It would be like dungeoneering but cooler. Perhaps there would be a limit to how many raids you could do a week, or not. Then there would be a place you can fight/stake other people.. This would be like mortal combat too. It could also be set up like the fights in a game called "Swords and sandals".
  18. Really though, sailing would be an incredible skill. Well, it would at least have the potential to. They could expand the game SO MUCH. Have tons of new islands with special resources or monsters. Actually a lot like resource dungeons. Also they could make a HUGE part of sailing be about pirates. You are sailing, with a few friends or a clan, then suddenly there is a pirate boat attacking! You and your friends slaughter the pirates and take their loot. Omg sailing could be phenomenal . It could make this game 3 times better. It could be the most fun skill ! Not to mention how awesome it would be pimping out your boats. You could have several. Sailing level determineds how many boats you can have, and how many people you can have on your boat. You could also hire different npc crew at different sailor levels, like butlers in construction. There could also be Vikings too. Vikings could be as big a part as pirates. I don't even think Vikings have ever been introduced to the game. Also it could massively expand fishing. Deep sea fishing! There could be a mini game where you try and catch entire schools of fish and you could sell the haul to general stores for either money or other rewards. Just so many possibilities!
  19. Acting. Make Shakespeare a big character in the game. Get experience by line memorizing.1 million acting exp is deducted if you say Macbeth while in the theater. First 100 people to 99 acting automatically get a bachelors in Shakespearean studies from the prestigious school of their choice. The first to 200M acting exp is heralded the reincarnation of Shakespeare. Brilliant. This is what dreams are made of.
  20. What is the tortoise method ? And about how many extreme potions can you make an hour ? (Number wise) I seriously don't know because I have gotten all my herb exp from cleaning herbs thus far. Thanks.
  21. About how many super energy potions can you make an hour ? About how many extremes? How many overloads? (With stews)? Thanks.
  22. I'd also consider making 500 of each extreme. Thanks for any replies.
  23. I am 91 herb. I plan on making 400 extreme atk, std, def, range, and magic potions to start. After I make those would it be most cost effective to do extreme attacks until the multiplier dies ? Or would it be better to go to super energies (the best gp/xp that is at least moderately fast exp atm I think ) once I'm done with the big bonuses from the extremes? I care more about gp/xp than xp/hr. I know there are spreadsheets but I don't think those apply since they don't take in all the variables of BXPW. I don't even know how many pots I can make in an hour because Ive cleaned herbs for all my exp so far. BTW I'm going for 99 herblore, not 96.
  24. OT: Oh man looks like we've got a James Dean fan! Still amazed by what he was able to accomplish while only being in 3 movies. It is such a shame he had to die so young. This isn't a good idea. Banning an entire country will have mostly negative effects. I can't even imagine what it would do to Jagex's morale.
  25. Yuck. Don't waste slots for barrow items. Put offers for rares. Over the past year I have gotten a white party hat for 25k, a disk of returning for 10k, a pumpkin for 50k, and a Christmas cracker for 2 million. Oh and no, I do not actually expect you to believe this. This is because it is not true. I've tried though. I forgot. I also bought bunny ears for 666 gp.
