Need an odd type of help.
Yeah I would get thieving cape instead. It is a much cooler and rarer cape, despite it being a pretty fast skill. It is free also.

Best possible cooking xp?
 you fail to understand opportunity cost. How much of a "grind" something is is relative, the gp/xp+xp/hr are not. Settle down buddy. I said if he can make like 600k an hour then he should make money and do wine. If he just barely breaks even though then how much of a grind something in should be taken into account. If it costs 20M more and takes 50 hours less, and he can only make 400k an hour then he doesn't benefit from doing wine at all. That is what I was saying.

Best possible cooking xp?
Also with 22M he could be well on his way to 99 smithing, and smithing is about a 52 times cooler cape than cooking.

Best possible cooking xp?
I feel like 50 hours of training cooking would be more of a grind than 50 hours of training cooking. F2P money making at least. At least while training cooking he will always have gaining levels as a goal or incentive. If I were you, I would do swordfish unless if you can make like 600K an hour, or can make money from merchanting. Merchanting is pretty lively.

200M in all Skills
Seriously. If you are going to idolize someone, idolize David Bowie or, Marlon Brando or something like that. Dragonseance? I'm sure he is a great guy in real life and a devoted runescape player, but surely songs like The Bewlay Brothers and Life On Mars - or performances like in On the Waterfront or Last Tango in Paris would be more deserving of man worship?

Jagex taking stance
Oh lord, not this again. Bots are against the rules, some people might be sympathetic, but that doesn't excuse the fact they're cheating. why does cheating in a video game matter? Unless you have a specific instance of bots ruining your fun [via hogging your training spots for example] what does it matter if a person chooses to cheat? Well aside from the tangible problems like hogging training spots, devaluing raw items and such, it's not in the spirit of the game. Why should we be expected to slog out all the grinding is so many lazy asses cheat like that? If X* is... *is a variable that represents any relevant item for the applied situation IE: Video games, etc. meant for entertainment, has aspects to it that you enjoy but have a very high time investment to be able to properly utilize it and the requirements are not something you enjoy then I think you have the right to bypass those requirements through cheats. Conditions only apply if the situation above is applied. I dont support someone botting 200m xp in a skill, but I would support someone botting mining to reach LRC for example. Or botting combat to boss hunt as another example. Except when the game is MULTIPLAYER game and isn't GTA where cheats are acceptable and intentionally designed because you aren't affecting anyone else. When the "spirit of the game" is based on exclusion and competition that standard would functionally make the game pointless. Your methodology would be fine in games that don't include a competitive aspect, but unfortunately a lot of people view Runescape as some form of competition of who can stand the most grind. You would justify things like CoD MW 1 where every game is hacked, or a basketball game where no one is dribbling because it's more "fun" to simply shoot the ball and taking the time to learn to dribble is too much of a grind. The negative consequences of botting on the entire game (things you conceded were bad) also should be enough of a reason as to why botting shouldn't be allowed, so i don't know why you're trying to defend it. In his defense, I don't really think he is so much "defending" them as he is simply reminding everyone that they aren't moral nihilists or something of that sort. This site does seem to have a lot of nutcases that truly believe that someone having a bot on runescape makes them a monster. Hell, the other day I saw a comment where someone said that they hope anyone who bots dies very painfully and very soon. What the HECK? TL;DR Bots are a huge problem to runescape. However someone botting does not suggest a huge or fundamental flaw in their personality or character.

Random Event Rewards - Mystery Box
Well I understand that but personally I think that if they have a gift or mystery box as a possible reward then that gives the impression that those boxes have a slight chance of being thoroughly rewarding. I just think that they should only have mystery and gift boxes as an option if they can be a bit like a lottery ticket. That is the way the game interface treats them. If the best thing they can give is a half key after like 100 tries then I think that is misleading by jagex.

I got hacked!!!!
Because I only have a few friends in my fd list, and I am sure i NEVER added that guy. How do you know it isn't just a friend of the hacker? The hacker could have sent his friend a message saying "Oh dude this is ***** and I hacked this name and it has a d chain!".

Random Event Rewards - Mystery Box
I have chosen the mystery box every time I have gotten a random event for probably about 3 years. Throughout all of this time, the best thing I have ever gotten is a steel platebody. Whenever I got the steel platebody the game said "Congratulations". Really? Does the mystery box ever actually give anything worth anything? I think that the mystery box shouldn't be an option unless if they have a very small chance of giving a very good reward, like 10M or something. I mean at LEAST 1M! What is the point of having a mystery box as an option if it doesn't ever give anything good? That's a slap in the face I think.

China Using Prisoners To Farm MMOs
[hide] Did you even read the article? Why yes, as a matter of fact I did -- didn't you? Shall I read it for you? Once upon a time in a land far far away, there was this place where bad people went and they banged rocks, fletched chopsticks, read books and played video games. It was all such hard work. The end. Satire does not become the situation at all. This is a major problem which the public has had at least an idea of in the past - where people who were either poor or enslaved had to do stuff like this. Truthfully I thought that China had "outlawed" the sale of virtual gold. If prisons are doing this, then it's a pandemic that can't be stopped by simply going to the Chinese government [again] and asking nicely. On the contrary, it's a hilarious situation. You've got murderers, rapists and goodness-knows what other types of known criminals who, instead of being punished through hard-labour, are now all huddled in front of computer screens playing video games -- and complaining about it ... Further proof that you did not read the article. Not all of these people are the low point of society, "Liu Dali was imprisoned by the Chinese government in 2004 for 'illegally petitioning' it to end the rampant corruption in his hometown. He was sentenced to 3 years at the Jixi labor camp." Oh -- yeah -- how silly of me. Everyone's innocent in prison, right? [/hide] Very disappointing to hear someone talk like this after collectivist principles have shown time and time again to be at best a breeding ground for lackadaisical effort and at worst - genocide. I'd call you despicable if you had any idea what you were saying. I'll agree that comparably speaking, being forced to play video games is not that bad. I also agree that the people in those prisons for things like murder and rape should not be complaining whatsoever. However rolling your eyes and making light of tyranny and injustice, the same type of tyranny and injustice that has facilitated and mobilized handfuls of genocides and purgings, I think it is best that you apologize to everyone for your ignorance/disconnection.

Training Mining
This comment made 6 efficiency freak heads blow up. I think mining a bunch of mith ore, or addy if you have 70 mining, would be pretty fun. They are shiny looking in the inventory.

Got cleaned for 520M
It's all fine guys. I have a winning strategy that I can't wait to get money to utilize it. First off, I changed my characters outfit and hair. Second, I will continuously listen to this masterpiece of a song by the heroic, criminally underrated David Bowie Really, why isn't he held in the same regard as people like John Lennon or even Bruce Springsteen? He absolutely dwarfs Springsteen in - everything.

ever been *tempted* to cheat?
Why cheat on something so trivial? As opposed to cheating on something substantial? Please God tell me you don't cheat your taxes and on your girlfriend or wife. If you cheat death then it's cool.

16-May-2011 Lava Flow Mine
Lava flow mine... Hmmmmmmmm. Yeah, that makes me think of a particular monthly cycle that a certain gender has. Maybe the lava nymph thing is moody and that's why there has been so much reported disparity in the time it takes to get the gold set. And yes, this is the most insightful comment on this entire thread - by far.

Small sample size is small. Thing about averages is that they only work out nicely when you approach infinity. Just keep going! Lol I don't even have enough money for a dragon pickaxe right now. Unfortunately I'm burnt out at frost dragons since there are 12 bots on every world. If you want to give me money to stake though I'll gladly take your advice. : )

200M in all Skills
[spoiler=Uncalled for Nostalgia Overload]Oh man. That is actually kind of saddening that rune scimitar isn't the boss on F2P anymore. I miss the good ol' days whenever rune two-handers were the Marlon Brando's of weaponry. Pking in full black, amulet of strength, and rune 2h - great times. Anyways, does that mean that I am correct about fire runes being the best RC method? How much exp an hour is that? Also, how long would 200M dungeoneering take?
-
200M in all Skills
Good luck getting 200M dungeoneering on F2P. Also wouldn't fire runes be the best RC method? Yikes. That is like 15K exp an hour max I think. 13,333 hours right there. Oh and prayer? They would have to spend over 5 billion just to train at a horrifically slow pace burying big bones into the ground. I don't know how many bones you can bury per hour, but I think 1K would be a safe guess. If 1K is the rate, then again, it will take over 13,300 hours. Willows for 200M woodcutting. I don't even know what for 200M fishing because I never ever fish. I guess they could do C2 fishing, so fishing wouldn't be nearly as bad as most of the other ones. Crafting and smithing are the only ones that wouldn't be repulsive. They could still cut diamonds and make addy plates. Oh yeah, and the combat skills would all of a sudden be insanely difficult. What would they kill? Lesser demons? And with a rune skimmy and amulet of strength? Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Not to mention that prayer pots are members only so they couldn't even use prayer to get faster kills. I guess strength potions, so their max hit is like 23. Getting 200M attack, strength, defense, and hitpoints requires killing about 2 million lesser demons. Have fun doing that with like a 54 strength bonus and a simple strength potion. High alching for 200M magic. 3000 hours right there. I have no idea what they would do to train range. Lesser demons again? If so, that is another 600K+ lesser demons they need to kill, and with a maple shortbow this time. I see 26K+ hours just from runecrafting and prayer. 3000 for magic. If they can kill 100 lesser demons an hour then add another 20K hours for the combat skills. Add another 5K+ hours for mining. Maybe another 1.5K hours from smithing and crafting. We already have 55K+ hours just from attack, strength, defense, hitpoints, range, magic, prayer, runecrafting, mining, smithing, and crafting. This doesn't include dungeoneering, cooking, fishing, and firemaking. I have no clue what the exp rates are for these skills in F2P. Feel free to correct me. I'm sure I'm extremely wrong about at least something. I haven't played F2P since 2003. But damn! It would take at LEAST 7 years of playing 24/7.

200M in all Skills
That's a good point tbh, and I think "time wise" it will be the most time ever put into a single game by one person. I think I remembered reading a post a few 100 pages back that the world record of time put into a game was from someone who played rs? Yes I saw that too, assassin, but I thought it was a bit sketchy. The source was only AOL news I think, and it just didn't seem believable. I think they said it was only 700-some days which seems dwarfed by several people in the top-15.

Got cleaned for 520M
I have a sick feeling about staking. I lost 590M there. I've lost 37 of 45 matches. This is exclusively rapiering and boxing. Keep in mind that I have 99 attack, strength, defense, and hitpoints. Personally I think that is ridiculous. It should be somewhere in the vicinity of a flip of a coin. I get first hit over half the time I would say. Hell, last time I went I lost 10 straight. What is up with that? That should be around a 1/1024 chance. (not a 1/1024 chance of losing the 10th match, I understand that the 8th, 9th, and 10th matches I still had about a 1/2 chance of winning)
